  • What's with Yahoo Answers today (Feb 4, 2014)?

There have been many times today when I'd click on a question, only to be told it was deleted... but I'll try a second (and sometimes third) time and it'll display.

On several occasions I was told that I couldn't answer because I can answer only times in one day (Yes, that's right - it left out the number allowed) - but I'd exit the question and try again, and it would let me.

Now, I'm seeing that when I post an answer, it puts a question mark for my name.

  • Are there REALLY that many people who need a portable game computer?

It seems to me that in this day and age, anyone who needs a laptop probably already has one. From this, I deduce that for every use OTHER than gaming, people can usually meet their needs with the laptop they already have.

I can understand the desire to play games. What I don't understand is why someone would look for a replacement laptop >simply< because they want to play games - unless they have the desire to play games while they're away from home.

Are there really that many people who need replacement new laptop, instead of a dedicated (better) desktop system?? Why not just continue using the non-gaming laptop for everything that's not a game, and the desktop for gaming?

I am serious here - I honestly don't understand why so many people are asking for a gaming laptop.

  • Need help with Excel 2010 - Finding value in unordered list?

I have a column of calculated values. The data I am changing will cause the numeric order of the column to also change (If I sort for one calculation, I'll have to resort after making the changes). I don't want to resort each and every time.

Here's where I have a snag. Each time, there will - of course - be a maximum value. Finding this is no problem for me. The problem is that I also need the SECOND highest value, which may appear anywhere in the column. Is there any way of finding this value without sorting?

  • When does "today" begin as far as Yahoo Answers?

I live in the Eastern time zone and logged in at about a quarter past midnight local time and my daily answer limit hadn't been reset. I'm guessing it's Pacific time, but I don't feel like staying up until 3AM to find out. :)

  • Is there any quick and easy way to find out how many questions I've answered today in Yahoo Answers?

I know I can go down the list of activities and count, but I'm hoping there's a link I'm overlooking that can tell me.

  • Why doesn't Yahoo save my edits in Yahoo answers?

I'll occasionally notice, within seconds after posting, that the answer I posted was missing information or could be phrased better. I've clicked on the Edit icon, and an edit window does open... but when I click on Save, it's not really saved. What am I doing wrong? Is there a setting I need to modify somewhere?
