  • Nightmares and scratches on face?

Every once in a while, I'll wake up with a scratch/scratches on my face and/or bruises on my thighs. Has anyone ever had nightmares that have lead to this? Without waking up?

The nightmare I had last night was very disturbing. I remember screaming, crying and begging for help in it. No one would help. I woke up normally, and later remembered how horrific the dream was.

There is a deep scratch on my cheek bone. It stings pretty bad actually so I'm surprised that I didn't wake up. I have had scratches that bled before. It looks bad and I had a job interview today! Yay for concealer!

Anyone that has experienced this? And logical stuff, please. I've researched it and everyone is like GHOSTS OMG! I know it's not paranormal, I just want to know if people with or PTSD have done this and what they do to prevent it.

How to bridge warp text in Illustrator?

As seen in the picture, the bottom of TEAM is warped in an arc, and I know how to do that with the warp effect. However, I can't seem to get the same effect on the top that it shows on here. It's straight, and doesn't arc. I can't seem to figure out the right settings to do this.

    Any help is appreciated!

  • Is this legal in the business world?

I'm doing a web site for a client and I'm a little nervous about it. There are some legal concerns I've brought up and I'm not sure if the answers he's given me are correct. I'd like to incorporate into our contract agreement that I'm not liable for any legal issues pertaining to the subject.

He wants to start a new business. He has a name and he has not registered it as his legal business name. I'm worried that this is not a good idea. He says no one else has the name, but I'm still weary.

He's also buying his products he wants to sell on the market from a company in China and put his own logo on it without mentioning who made the product. I'm not sure if that's legal.

I've mentioned these things to him and he doesn't seem to be nervous about it. But I don't want to be involved if there are legal consequences. If I can't persuade him to look more closely at the legality of the business, is there a way I can put in the contract that I deny any legal liability? Should I just drop this project? There is no written contract yet. I think he needs a marketing advisor because I'm simply not getting enough information for what he wants to be an e-commerce website eventually. Any legal advice or experienced web designers with this sort of thing would be awesome.

  • Want to extend wifi with added router?

We have excellent internet service, however the modem and router are in the basement and my room doesn't get a good enough signal. I thought it was best to connect another router to extend the signal (also a bit cheaper and less complicated than extenders from what I've read) I've ordered a cheap but well-reviewed wireless router. What I want to do is put that in my room to get a better signal from the original wireless router in the basement since my room is on the first floor but on the opposite side of it. I have a Desktop computer that is wired to a wall port ethernet jack on the wall. There are two inputs so one is empty. How can I set this up properly? Is it relatively simple? Can I use the extra ethernet port on the wall to connect the two routers since this jack is connected to the router in the basement? I'm aware that there are settings and configurations I must input. Any advice or good articles on this subject? I'm good with computers but I'm weak when it comes to networking. My main concern is streaming Netflix and other devices with video. Thank you in advance!

What I bought to put in my room: Got it on sale for 20.

  • Applying for a credit card lowers your credit?

I was approved for a Kohl's charge card the other day. My Bitdefender ID Theft Protection notified me that there was a change in my credit score. Of course it's the free ID Theft Protection so no specifics. I don't want to freak out for no reason. I have very good credit, pay bills on time, and never missed a payment. Could this cause a change?

  • Professional Piercers! Doc or no doc for navel piercing?

My belly button piercing became infected after 2 years of NO problems. It occurred when I was very ill and needed antibiotics, which was odd because I'd think it would have prevented it. I talked to a friend of mine who is a piercer who I showed pics to and this is the original:

    http://s109.photobucket.com/user/lilcrumb3/media/2...

She said it was swollen and looked like the post was being enveloped. Therefore, she advised to put in a ring-like piece. I sterilized it with alcohol, rinsed it so that it wouldn't irritate it further and made sure everything was clean. This is what it looked like directly after:

    http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n42/lilcrumb3/2...

Her advice after was use mild antibacterial soap, don't touch it especially without washing your hands, don't use Neosporin or Hydrogen Peroxide because it could make it worse, and use Sea Salt Soaks. I did all this and I use H2Ocean because of all the rave reviews.

I'm hoping it's healing properly and that I don't need to see a doctor. It hurts still but not NEARLY as much as it used to. My piercing was so swollen before I changed from a post that it was unbearable to even walk! Swelling has gone down considerably. It's been about two weeks and this is what it looks like now:

    http://i109.photobucket.com/albums/n42/lilcrumb3/2...

I've heard of fungal infections. It's been almost 2 weeks since it started to heal, but should it take this long? Professional advice would be appreciated.

As you can see it looks like a hole was formed.

  • Discovering Taoism? Need suggestions.?

I'm not a religious person. I grew up Catholic and because I'm old enough to discover things on my own I don't feel comfortable with Christianity. It's hard to explain. I consider myself liberal but not to the extreme. I don't really think I believe in a heaven or hell. I don't think life is just so black and white.

I did a paper on Taoism in college and found it to be very comforting and beautiful. I've tried reading up on it but it is not something I can completely get my head around, although according from what I've read you're not supposed to...I think? Lol. Do people still practice this religion/philosophy. Are there temples/churches that people can visit? I don't know if it will comfort me in my time of need. I've always was taught to turn to God, and I pray, but is it because I believe or is it a habit?

I've found what you may consider ignorant Christian websites condemning the Tao. I want to turn somewhere where I can get an understanding, even if it's just vague, of the religion/philosophy itself. Any suggestions?

  • What to do about feline blindness?

We noticed within the week that my cat who is 15 or 16 years old may be blind or going blind. She's incredibly confused and runs into things. My heart is breaking. She's been with me more than half of my life and I cry every night worried she could hurt herself. Do I have any hope? The vet doesn't seem to care. He pretty much just said yeah she's old what do you expect? The truth is I don't know. I need some advice from people that have gone through this with their cats and what I can do to make life easier for her. She's my only and first pet. In fact she's not a pet, she's FAMILY. I'm so worried.

  • HPV and normal Pap Smear?

I have low-risk HPV (I know because I just started developing warts) and my pap came out normal weeks after treatment (Aldara which has cleared everything up. Happy to see it's so effective on me). I'm just a little confused because I assumed since I have a strain that the pap would come out abnormal. Does the pap only detect high-risk hpv?

  • Replacing a traditional art portfolio with a tablet?

I'm an Illustrator/Graphic Designer/Web Designer/Photographer. I have a contract job that stops in a few months and I'm dreading going out there and finding a job in my field because it's quite difficult these days. I'd like to step up my portfolio presentation a bit with a tablet. Not an expensive one like an iPad but one with a nice screen and allow me to do slideshows. (Powerpoint, Lightroom, or even Flash but I know that's probably not possible). The main question is, I have a traditional hard cover portfolio(s), do you think someone who wants to look at my portfolio will prefer "the old school" way of doing things? Or perhaps they'd be more impressed? I'd love some real professional opinions whether they are artists, hiring managers, and just other points of view. Also, what would be a good choice of tablet that would suit my needs that won't cost an arm and a leg?
