  • Saline injection in sick puppy?

We took our sick puppy to the vet today, she said that he was dehydrated, among other things. So they gave him an injection of saline. Is it normal to do this in dogs instead of giving them IVs? They injected a lot, at least 12 ounces, in a 3 month old puppy. he got the injection over 6 hours ago and you can still feel it on his side. Can dogs absorb saline without an IV? or did this vet just do something completely irresponsible?

  • When is it appropriate to spend Christmas as a couple, away from your families?

My boyfriend and I have been together for over 4 years, and in the past we've been living in the dorms in our college. This year, as seniors, we are living in an apartment together. In the past, we've spent Christmas apart (me in Dallas with my family, him in El Paso with his. we go to school in San Antonio). I was wondering what the etiquette is for where we should spend Christmas. We want to spend it together, but know that our families want to see us as well. We're tired of being apart for the holidays.

  • How long would it take to get a tattoo on your finger?

I'm getting a small infinity symbol tattoo on my finger in a couple weeks and wanted to know what to expect. How long should I expect the actual tattooing part to last?

    Here's a picture of what I want:

  • Cost of small tattoo?

I'm just looking for an estimate of how much a small (about 1.5 inches) tattoo on my shoulder blade would cost. I know it varies from artist to artist. It would be pretty simple, just the basic outline of an elephant, with a tiny butterfly above it's trunk (might get rid of the butterfly if it's too small to make detailed).

    Thanks!

  • Anyone been to the Golden Lotus Tattoo Studio in Cabot, AR?

I'm trying to decide where to get a tattoo. Do they bandage the tattoo in saran wrap? Because I know that's a bad sign. Is it clean and sterile?

    Thanks!

  • Economics movie about cavemen/surplus?

What is the name of the movie about cavemen who learn about specialization, and use surplus to build a city, which leads to the urban environment we have today? the cavemen have british accents, and the narrator has an american accent. They start doing jobs according to their last names (farmer, miller, carpenter, weaver, etc.), and begin a barter economy. Then they learn to make coins. etc....

  • any vets out there... I really need your help!?

my 8 year old cat is sick. he's up to date on all his shots, and neutered. about a week ago we noticed that he lost a lot of weight. his hips stick out. he doesnt eat. at all. we even offered him tuna, a rare treat that he used to absolutely love, and he refused to eat it. he still drinks plenty of water. he has lots of gunk coming out of his eyes. he looks like he's walking on his toes, and whenever he walks somewhere he has to rest after a few steps. he has been alot more needy recently, begging to be petted and sit on your lap. but today he looks at me like he's not even seeing me. earlier this week we scheduled a vet appointment for next wednesday, but when I woke up this morning, and saw how bad he is, I called and rescheduled for 8:20 tomorrow morning. I'm just wondering if there's anything I can do until then, or if you have any idea what's wrong with him. I love him so much, I cried this morning when I saw him. please help me

  • Thinking of converting to Baha'i, just wondering what actual members of the faith feel towards homosexuals?

I've been considering converting to the Baha'i faith. I agree with all the tenants of the faith except that they do not accept homosexuals. I'm not gay, but I have many friends who are.

I just wanted to know what actual members of the faith feel towards gays, because in all of my research I've found that the Baha'i faith is against homosexuality
