well i've had a cold for the past 5 days but now its mostly just a cough. yesterday it was really tickly and i just couldn't stop coughing. anyway i did the 'vicks on feet' thing and it helped me sleep right through till about 1.30am (i didn't get this amount of sleep on previous nights.) anyway i woke up sweating and coughing so i took my socks off and washed the vicks off to cool me down a bit. i had some soothers and after 2 hrs i fell back to sleep. Today my cough is a bit better, i'm just coughing up a bit of phlegm every now and again and it feels like i need to get something out!. My stomach muscles hurt because i coughed so much :( and i'm still quite tired. Anyway is it possible to sweat off the illness or something? because i feel better than yesterday. Also, what are good ways to sleep without coughing? because i found it really hard to get to sleep last night. Today i'm just eating strepsils and soothers which help my throat. thanks for the help :) x

Hi i've had a bad cold for 4 days and now it is mainly a terrible cough. It isn't really dry or chesty. I just keep feeling that i need to cough. It's really tiring me out and i get no sleep at night.. I really hate it :(

Do you think i have a chest infection or is it just a normal cold cough? What can i do to help? when will it go? sorry loads of questions. please help :(

Hi, i had a bad cold/flu about 2 months ago and i think i'm getting another one because i have a sore throat and a bit of a cough, also when i wake up i have a blocked nose but it goes after a while. My immune system is really bad! How can i stop the cold from coming? Could it be swine flu? :O And just wondering, have any of you had swine flu and what is it like? Please help because i don't want another cold!!! Thank you! x

I just had a horrible stomach bug (sickness, diarrhea) and now i'm getting that... :-(

I'm still recovering so i'm just eating things like toast, crackers, scrambled egg, soup...

Why is this happening when i burp and will it stop?

Hi, I just got 2 new kittens, one ginger and one white and grey, they both have stripey markings. The ginger one is a boy called Henry (I love that name!) but i don't know what to call the female. She is very playful and lively...and a bit of a piggy. lol. Help! Here are some pictures of her:

I'm a little worried, i've been taking aspro clear for two days as i have a cold/ fluey thing and i'm only 13! My mum said it would be fine but i'm not sure. I'm not gonna take it again. It really helped my cough and sore throat LOADS so i thought it was great. But i read the box and it said don't give to children under 16 so i went crazy at my mum and she doesn't seem to be bothered? Am i just being a worrypot? Is my mum right? Or do i have something to worry about?

I'm a 13 y/o girl, and i fit into size 6 women's or 13 - 14 kids. lol.

I'm quite tall and have quite long legs and i'm an average weight. I like skinny jeans and stuff like that. I shop in new look, primark, h&m, peacocks, topshop etc.

It's really freaky, we're like twins, we like the same things, we both live on a farm but that isn't so freaky. The thing is we're always thinking the same thing like the other day we were sat in out maths lesson and we both started asking each other the same question at the same time, and it wasn't even anything to do with maths it was something like "Isn't it supposed to snow at the weekend?" Then when we realised that we both said it we laughed at the exact same time with the same laugh. lol it's weird. We're always doing it, also, we were both ill one day and had to stay off school, and we were ill for the same reason, we didn't even know until the next day. Anyway in science yesterday the teacher asked "Who hasn't done their homework?" and we both said "I was ill last time and so was (each other) so we didn't get the homework" at the same time! And we were on different sides of the classroom, then we did that laugh at the same time again! We keep doing this and it's beginning to freak me out! We also bought the EXACT same shoes last weekend and we weren't even shopping together and we only found out at school. I really don't know if it's just because we are so alike or if it's just a coincidence or what!? Help!

Tomorrow there's a cake sale at school and i need to bake some cupcakes. I need recipes!!

I can't go to the shop to get ingredients but i think i've got all i need.

Here's what i've got in the kitchen that might be useful:

Plain Flour, Self-raising flour, Butter, Icing sugar, mini Chocolate buttons, eggs, milk, water (duh), some more random cake decorations.

I'm stuck for new cupcake ideas though! Help!

I'm 13 and became a vegetarian in June because i don't really like the thought of eating other creatures and i don't really like the taste of meat anyway. I just wondered if this may have affected my health. I mean, i'm not aware of anything wrong with me but in general, how could it have affected my health? As i'm losing iron in my blood (monthly) i don't know how i'm gaining it back?? And i don't eat fish either so i don't get much omega 3. Shall i take tablet vitamin thingys for iron and omega 3?

Just wondering what you think. :)

I don't know how to start the introduction without writing what i'm going to write on the "why it happened" and "how it happened" pages etc. Any ideas?? I don't know what to buy for 7 of my friends. They're all your average 12-13 year olds! I want to spend £10 on two of them and £5 on the rest. Any ideas??

Well, a couple of months ago my life seemed perfect. But it has changed so quickly. I knew it was too good to be true.

I've got 3 friends (well i have got more but...) and they are all moving away at the end of the year. It's gonna be so hard! Here are the stories:

Friend 1: I met her when we were 2 and we've been best friends ever since. We went to primary school together but we were separated going to secondary school. That itself seemed bad enough but now...she's moving to america. I'm so upset. I think about the memories we've got together and just to think that i'll never see her again...it's so upsetting.

Friend 2: I only met her last year but she has been SUCH an amazing friend!! She's moving to another country too. My life has been a whole lot better since she's been here but it's just gonna fall apart again...

Friend 3: This isn't as bad, but she's moving to a different school.And since i spend most of my time at school...it's not exactly gonna be easy without her.

Anyway, these 3 mean so much to me and they make me happy. But they're all gonna disappear just like that...POOF! I don't know why all the bad luck has landed on me. I'm worried that without them, i'm just gonna fall apart.I really don't know what to do. i can't stop them from going. And it's not easy to find friends like them, people will just say 'make new friends' but really, it's not that easy. I just can''t believe it.

So my questions are, how will i ever find friends like them again?

How will i keep in touch with them?

And basically...how will i live without them?

Help... I'm gonna be so lonely.

I have got to write two spiritual poems for school. They can be about 1) Love and evil, 2) Listening to God and 3) dreams

so i did both of mine about dreams because that's the kind of person i am. they're not very good, i'm not very good at writing poems but i'm only 13. Really, i just want you to tell me what you think of them and how i can improve etc.

Here they are:

Fallen into a dream:

High in a tree

I fall into a dream

So peaceful and quiet

High in the clouds

This is my dream

Horses run freely

with no force at all

A sudden change

pulls me away

Quickly through the wind

My heart beating fast

Nothing can stop me now.

Heaven:

Laying there

Thoughts running through my mind

I slowly fall asleep

The light getting

Brighter

And brighter

Blinding me

Drawing me in

To the angel

With large powerful wings

Very pale skin

All dressed in white
