No Google please, it's often wrong. I'd like to know how to say things the way a native French speaker would.

My friend is in a lot of pain and I want to send him an audio that might help him through it. So these are the sentences I'd like translated

Just a small snippet of any language that says something funny and includes "I love you madly" for a programmer friend of mine. Please help!

He's a bigshot programmer dude, and I want to send him a snippet of something affectionate and funny - if I can include 'I love you madly' in there somewhere, that would be amazeballs!

I'm writing a book featuring an Army veteran, and as I don't know anything about weaponry etc I am stuck on a point of realism that I need to verify. I am not looking for gory details or images, just basic info.

If someone were to shoot another person in the head with a beretta 9 mm from approx. 15 to 20 feet away, would the resulting wound be one of those little round holes like you see on tv, or would it take off someone's head, or something in between? I have no idea if a 9mm round is big or not, or if that distance would make a difference. I have to describe this event briefly, and don't want to say 'it was a clean through and through' if, in fact, it would have taken off half his face, or vice versa.

I am writing a novel, trying to come up with a joke about bad piano playing. If someone butchered "Adeste Fideles" on the piano and her brothers cracked a joke about the faithful actually going away instead, what would that be in Latin?

In otherwords, how do you say "Go away/Leave, Faithful" in Latin?

I'm doing research for a historical novel, and I'm trying to find out information about sea travel during the first few decades of the 19th century.

I know ships sailed from Liverpool to Dublin, but if you were in London, was it possible to go down the Thames, get to the Channel, then go around Cornwall and up the Irish Sea to Dublin? Did they do that, instead of going overland to Liverpool?

Any resources people know of where I could find out more would be appreciated as well.

I read it years ago, don't remember the title. Set in the late 1800's I believe. A woman is engaged to be married, and is being escorted through the winter countryside by a clergyman. They have a wedding gift with them, unopened. The weather makes them stop in a cold house for the night, and with no fire, they have to cuddle up together to keep warm. Because of this inappropriate intimacy, they will have to marry. You find out at the end of the story that the woman knows the wedding gift was actually a flintbox, and that she could have started a fire and not had to cuddle up with the guy, ie that she didn't want to marry her fiance, wanted to marry the clergyman.

Anyone know it?

I need to have a character say something like "Don't leave me, my love" to someone who is dying. I don't want to end up saying the equivalent of "Perish not, my flower" or something, which is what I might get if I just trust the translation tools out there.

How would a real Swede say something like this? It doesn't have to be those exact words, just the sentiment.

I'm writing a story, and I've never been there, but can/do people have weddings on Tokerau beach? Is it legal to do that in NZ and is the kind of beach where you might want to have a wedding?

British people often say things like "I'm going to collect him at the airport" - do Kiwis say that too?

I am writing a book that features a veterinarian dealing with a dog that has been hit by a car and was not seen by medical help for several days. I have some (human) medical background so I know enough to imagine fractured femurs, etc but I am looking for more systemic consequences from being untreated for a few days - would the dog have rhabdo, for instance? And would it have kidney damage after a few days? Would a dog die after a few days with a ruptured spleen?

I'd like to be able to have my vet character outline what this dog would need in the way of surgery/follow up treatment and how much such extensive treatment would cost (the character is going to host a fundraiser to pay for it, but I need to know a ballpark figure)
