  • Question about Debt collections?

Quick story... Husband was previously married ex wife opened hundreds of credit cards under his name. ( Still don't know how she did but yet I can't pay bills under his name. U.S stupid when it comes to that) Anyway, so he obviously has a bunch of debts that have popped up in the past 3 yrs. We have paid most because he knew about them, or where on his credit report. Today we recieved a letter from collections for an account we don't know about. We checked his credit report and there is nothing on it. The letter states it has been delinquent since 2006.(His previous wife) The collectors are collecting for Arrow Financial Service. I looked it up and it is also a debt collection agency. So what I'm asking is can collectors collect for other collectors? Wouldn't all his "credit" be on his credit report. I know there is a certain time frame they have to collect a debt and it's mandated by state. We are military so do they go by home of record? Is there a way to find out every account in my husbands name? So we can stop getting caught off guard. It's annoying just when I think we are catching up another account comes out of the wood work.

  • Help with self feeding?

So my son has decided that he is a "big boy" (he's 1) and doesn't need me to feed him anymore. yes I know he needs to learn to use his utensils. He's uses a fork pretty well and I am fine with letting him use his fork usually he gets frustrated that it takes to long to eat so he uses his hands. Whatever as long as food is getting in his mouth. But he cannot use is spoon at all. And he refuses to let me feed him. I am worried that he isn't eating enough. Especially since breakfast is hard to feed him. No oatmeal, egg, cereal. I can't feed him only fruit he stays hungry. What can I feed him other than fish/chicken nuggets? What to give him for breakfast? He's very picky doesn't like pancakes or waffles. His taste has changed so suddenly things he would always eat he spits out of his mouth. Is this just a phase? How they say milestones throw their sleep off? Please help all he eats is chicken nuggets and goldfish crackers.

  • First time mom and leaky diapers?

Ok so I'm not exactly a NEW mom but this is still my first kid. But my question is My son FINALLY sleeps through the night now. Usually when he would wake up I would change his pampers then put him back to sleep. But now he wakes up with a 20lb pamper and his clothes are soaked and his sheets too. I feel bad because I don't know what to do. It's starting to get cold now I don't want him to freeze. And honestly his diapers hold up pretty well it's just he sleeps with his bottom up in the air (hee hee) that it comes out of the top of his diaper. I've looked for "overnight" pampers with no success. Do they sell them? Where? What can I do for him with out waking him up at night?

  • QUILTERS...What do you use for backing?

ok I'm a beginner. I am currently making a quilt for my toddler son so the fabric I get from the bolt. Is a decent size for backing. But what about those queen sized quilts I see made. Is it one piece of fabric or pieces sewn together?

  • HELP!! This kid will NOT go to sleep!!!!?

I'm desperate. Bare with me I know this is a little long but I like to give details.

From birth to 2 months my son was on an awesome schedule. Went to sleep I got to sleep everything was perfect. Well then he got sick so of course I let him sleep whenever to get better so his schedule got out of wack. He would sleep with me so I could keep an eye on him when I propped him up so he could breathe. He had a cold. Then he got over that and it started to get cold. One morning I picked him up out of his crib and he was an ice cube. I felt bad so he slept with me for warmth. So as my new years resolution I want to get him back into his crib. This is where I need help. He thinks that thing is a death trap or something. He will not fall asleep in it. I know I spoiled him and it's no one's fault but my own but I need to get him back into that crib. I have tried everything. I went back to the routine wake up early, he gets 2 naps, then it's bath, book, bottle, bed. He won't go to sleep. I know this isn't just going to happen I've been working on it. but it hasn't gotten anybetter. I even tried the let him cry it out. I know some are going to say, "No, don't do that" but I know he is ok. He just doesn't want to be in that crib. besides I can only take so much because we share a room (I'm staying with my parents while hubby is deployed) I'm at my wits end. I've tried singing, music, heartbeat cds, giving him something that smelled like me, everything except crawl into the crib with him. And what's worse is he's really just whining because as soon as I pick him up. He stops suddenly and is smiling and happy and when I put him down he's crying blooding murder. I know he's tired because he rubs his eyes and when I put him in by bed to get him to stop crying I turned around to grab his bottle and the poor thing was already asleep. So please help any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

  • Poll** Mommies, When do you get to take a shower?

My son is 2 months old and this kid NEVER sleeps. By the time I know he's asleep for good it's like 2 in the morning. I live with my mom while hubby is away on business. Luckily I have her to watch him in the evenings so I can take a well deserved shower. But those of you mom who don't have help, How do you do it. I commend you. :)

  • Can babies see ghosts? An honest question?

Ok I'm not crazy first of all. This is a legit questions. My son is 2 months old and he has always looked around and been curious about the world. Well, 2 nights ago he would not go to sleep so since we sleep in the same room ( Staying at parents tell hubby comes home from Iraq) I brought him to my bed to comfort him. He was crying so left him on bed and went to kitchen to make his bottle when I came back he was staring at the corner ceiling. I thought nothing of it. But while I was feeding him he would roll is head and eyes back to stare at that same spot. There is nothing there by the way just a corner of the ceiling. He still wasn't falling a sleep so I lied him down on the bed and he stared at that corner. Almost mesmerized by it. I would try to distract him and move his head but he would not budge. Then he all of a sudden starting cooing, smiling, kicking and reaching out to whatever was in the corner. He doesn't even do that for me. This went on for about 10 minutes. Then he just stopped at looked at me. It freaked me out. My parents think it's his guardian angel. Or that its all in my head and I should stop watching those ghost stories on tv but I know its not that. Is it a ghost? An angel? A deceased family member? Or am I just off my rocker? What do you think?

I'm not overreacting or looking into it. I'm honestly just curious. He's done this a couple of times since this night.

  • Rainforest Mobile... Do you have problems too?

I was wondering if anyone else has had problems with the fisher price rainforest mobile like I have. I have bought the mobile that has the detachable mobile and will just play music and be a night light 3 times from 3 different stores and they all work for an hour then they break. The leaves move up and down while the animals move in a circle. Well the leaves stopped moving all 3 times. Either they don't move which causes the whole mobile to not work or 1 leaf moves and the rest are stuck. If you have a problem with yours too please reply. I would like to bring this to the attention of Fisher Price. I mean its a cute product I love the rainforest line. but I think that this mobile might have been poorly designed. Also any recommendations for another mobile. Trying to keep the rainforest of the nursery.

  • ***Do babies dream? *** Curious and what could they be dreaming about?

My son is 7 wks old and I really think he has dreams. Sometimes he'll cry out then fall right back to sleep. or he'll smile and silently laugh (his belly will jiggle) it's pretty cute. He's been doing this since he was 2 wks. If they are dreaming what could he possibly be dreaming about. Someone taking his bottle away or something. What do you all think
