  • What exactly is a "Christian side hug"?

I saw it on a youtube video and I couldn't figure out what it was...

If you haven't seen it, please take a look and let me know if this is for real and is there really something called a Christian side hug?

  • What happens to religion when science finally "creates" life in a lab?

I'm curious, a big argument is science can't create life, so a god must have done this. Science is a lot closer to achieving this than most people know. It's coming close. So what will this mean for the religious community. Will this inevitable breakthrough alter beliefs or will worshipers still ignore such undeniable evidence that life was not "created" by a god?

  • Do you like milk???????????????????????

If so, what milk fat percentage it is you require? I prefer whole milk..... if not half and half.... I've been known to eat my cereal with half and half (more often than not). I rarely drink milk though.... it turns to cement in my intestines.

  • Has anyone noticed that most atheists on here seem to know more about religion than the followers?

I'm not trying to be dumb, I'm serious. I'm not saying I know everything about religion... but i have read and researched the bible and the quran and it really bothers me when I read questions and answers from people who actually believe in their religion yet get their facts all messed up and there's me thinking...."really..... " i just don't understand how some can preach when they can't even preach correct.......

no offense to those who know way more than me, I wasn't speaking to you... and there's a lot of you on here that are very knowledgeable.. this isn't to you...... but does it bother you to see people who try to sound smart defending religion, yet can't do it right..... because it would bother me.....

  • Can we sue Barack Obama for false advertisement?

He mislead millions of people around the world just to get into office. There's got to be something we can do about that, right?

  • Does anyone else have a child that suffers from autism?

If so, do you sometimes feel helpless and hopeless about the future? So you ever feel like you want to give up? I'd never give up on him cos his therapy has helped a lot, but I feel so helpless at times. He's only 2.5 years old and they've already had him on valium, ativan, clondine and aderol and he's currently on melatonin. I just feel helpless at times cos none of the drugs have helped him to stop banging his head all night and have not done anything as far as sleeping. He only sleeps about 3-4 hours a night. When the sedatives didn't work they tried a stimulant, but neither work....

anyone have any tips? I'm not bad at dealing with it, but I am not in control, he is. No matter how hard I keep him on a schedule and never bend on anything so i don't send mix messages, nothing works....

I'm not a parent that gives him his own way because of the nature of his problems. There's no room for empty threats and leniency... So I'm not sending mix messages.....

I've tried changing diet and I'm following treatment guidelines to the tee and I just feel like I've failed miserably.

I'm not begging for sympathy because I don't need it. I'm not whining either, I just wondered if any other mothers or fathers had any helpful information seen as how autism is really trial and error treating...

    Thanks.

  • Do some people actually believe the earth is flat?

Given the nature of R&S, I am not asking for hostility. I'm asking because I can't for the life of me figure out of they are serious or just trying to be "different" also young earth creationists. I can accept relgion and I can respect religious beliefs, but I can't figure out the flat earth theorist or the YEC's.

I would love for you to share your thoughts and reasons behind these 2 theories. I understand the evolution/creationism argument... but flat earth... why can a message in a bottle be thrown off the coast of New Zealand and end up on the Shores of NYC?

  • Am I the only one who thinks romance is unnecessary?

My husband said to me today "Hey, how bout I cook you a nice candle light dinner this Sunday."

I started laughing and was like "Uh No" and he gave me this look, and I was like "Oh you were being serious, my bad"

I'm really not a chick that likes to be wined and dined. I mean it's unnecessary and then I feel like I have to have sex with him cos isn't that what romantic candle light dinners lead too?

Don't get me wrong.. I love my husband and have no issues in the intimacy department, but I'm not into the whole romance thing. I think it's cheesy...

Am I the only girl like this?
