A week ago I woke up with hives. Went to a few doctors and one gave me (among other meds) prednisone. I was first given a shot of the steroid and then given pills to take. 40 mg one day, 30 mg the next... etc. I went to a dermatologist and he gave me some creams and told me to take claritin zantac and hydroxizine (something like that...). He told me to finish off the few days of prednisone and I have. The hives and itching FINALLY became manageable yesterday. Yesterday was also the last day I took prednisone. While the huge rashes on my back and stomach are gone, I've noticed that some itchy hives are starting to appear on one arm and some other random spots. I'm trying to avoid prednisone because it gives my terrible mood swings and spikes my already bad anxiety. I'm now afraid I'll have another hives breakout now that the prednisone isn't there to control it. Is it possible for the hives to come back this quickly and is there anything I can do besides the prednisone that will ease this itching? I'm going to a summer festival in a few days for the next few weeks and I really need to be in the best state of mind and focus. Any tips?

I woke up with hives on my stomach, back, armpits and scalp. It's so itchy it's keeping me from sleeping. I've been to two doctors and they prescribed me a steroid and some ointment. None of it is working. I've tried icing the spots and that helped my stomach and back but the itchiness on my neck and scalp is unbearable. I read about apple cider vinegar and tried that remedy. If anything, it made the itching worse. Anyone have another useful natural remedies? None of the other otc ointments are working either. Also, is it possible that my intense itching around my scalp is caused by lice? I don't think that's the case because the itching resembles the hives on the rest of my body. Please help, the itching is driving me insane and I can't sleep!

this is the first time I'm taking the two meds simultaneously. Neither make me feel sick on their own. I'm getting incredibly nauseas after I eat anything (so I've ruled out food allergies). This has been going on for almost a week. I started feeling a little sick BEFORE i started taking both meds. But my doctor and parents keep telling me that it's just the interaction of the meds that are making me feel really sick. Is this a known side effect when the drugs interact? I have trouble eating anything even when I'm really hungry because shortly after I eat, I get bad stomach cramps and awful nausea.

It's really frustrating because I'll be hungry and I'll eat something really light. A little while later, I'll be really really nauseas and have a stomach ache. This happens with anything I eat so I know it's not a food allergy. This has been going on for almost a week now. And my anxiety levels are relatively low so I don't think this is stress related.

I've noticed bugs crawling (not jumping) in my dogs fur. They are the size of sesame seeds and don't look like fleas or ticks but there were multiple crawling towards the back of my dog. We've always used flea and tick meds on our dogs so I don't know what those bugs are. My dogs have been in my room multiple times and has been in my and my parents bed and none of us have any bites. (We're taking my dog to the vet tomorrow to get her checked out finally). How do i check for fleas in my room (or whatever those things end up being).

To be clear, I'm not pregnant or sexually active. So that isn't a factor to consider. I started a running routine a few months ago since I signed up for a half marathon.I run 4-5 days a week. I don't think I've gotten my period for about 3 months. I'm young (20) and my period has always been irregular, but never to this extent. So what factors besides exercise could be delaying my period? And what can I do to start regulating it again (besides birth control because I'm already planning on using starting that soon)

i used a digital thermometer when i was on a plane and my fever was unusually high. does altitude effect thermometers?

i have these pink spots going down my throat and i don't think i've noticed them before. my throat is a little scratchy. the spots aren't dark red or anything, more of a light pink. i've tried gargling mouthwash, salt water and plain water to get them to go away in case it was food but they're still there. what could they be?

Is it worth spending the extra money on ebay to get the pikachu edition? Are there any functional or feature differences (besides the picture of pikachu)

I'm a female and currently 5' 4" and 130 pounds. I know that's not technically overweight, but i was wondering how long it would take me with my current exercise regime to look fit and in shape and get rid or at least tone down my pear shape. I'm training for a half marathon currently so right now I run at least 3-4 miles 4 times a week. I do some core workouts and the shake weight (don't laugh) daily as well. I'll start upping my milage week to week. So assuming I stick to healthy eating (i'm vegetarian if that makes a difference) how long will it take me until my legs and abs look significantly more toned?

A family member that I've been staying with got that last night when food went down the wrong pipe and couldn't come out. I was around get when she was coughing and drove her around. How long would it take the pneumonia to develop and am I at risk of catching it? She was diagnosed this morning but I was only around her last night for a few hours following the incorrect ingestion of food.

I sent an email to my professor a few days ago through my aol to his gmail account. He didn't respond which is normal for him but i looked in my "sent messages" folder just now and I can't find the email. (I sent the email from my iPhone, btw). Is it possible that the message sent and it's just not showing up? I only ask because my teacher needed advanced notification for something.

today was my first day taking it. i was instructed to take half of a 50mg tablet. I'm still feeling nauseated and tired about 10 hours later. It's nothing unbearable but I was wondering if these side effects would go away after I've been using the meds a while. Also, is it safe to drink a little bit on zoloft? Like one or 2 hard ciders tops?

I'm 5'4" and I weigh 100 pounds. Do you think I can get away with giving blood? I'm healthy overall.

First of all, I do have ADHD and was prescribed Ritalin by a psychiatrist. I did some research of the meds and noticed that people talked about how people without ADHD used it illegally because it could help with weight loss. To put it simply, does the ritalin speed up the metabolism of those who actually have ADHD? I'm mostly curious because I'm already a tiny bit lighter than i should be and i don't want to make that worse by losing more weight. Thanks!!

I'm having a little trouble buzzing an octave below my middle C to a fourth above that. Any tips? I can freebuzz that just fine but am having trouble consistently producing it on the mouthpiece alone. Thanks.
