  • Is this normal for a 22 year old?

I am so sleepy all the time.

Sometimes I sleep 14 hours straight without waking up at all. 12 hours is probably my usual.

I drink about a pot of coffee a day to stay awake.

I work out for an hour every day. I know I don't have a iron deficiency- I take vitamins and we have well water that has so much iron in it that the water is a little rusty. It leaves rust stains in the sink and tub and toilet, and even builds up in my hair.

I eat healthy. A lot of fresh fruits and veggies. I try to drink a lot of water.

Sometimes even when I sleep 12 hours I want a nap.

What can I do to be less tired? Is there something wrong with me?

  • What will my new signature drink be this year?

Each year a start drinking a different drink on my birthday. My birthday is coming up and I'm having a hard time picking my cocktail.

In the past it has been:

    Rum and pineapple juice

    Vodka and cranberry

a screwdriver (vodka and orange juice)

    Gin and tonic

Of course I have tried a lot of cocktails and it's not like this is the only one I will drink for the whole year, I just like having that go-to drink, and I think it's just fun to have one each year.

I want it to be simple, and a drink every bar can make. It was going to be a mimosa one year, but a lot of bars don't carry open champagne or only sell it by the bottle. and I don't like margaritas.

    Any ideas?

  • Can drinking a pot of coffee a day hurt you?

I drink a pot of coffee almost every single day. I usually have a cup with half coffee and half fat free milk. I don't put any sugar in it. The rest of my diet is pretty healthy.

I have heard coffee can cause ulcers, but if I have half milk, does that help?

Are there any other health concerns besides ulcers?

  • Help with damaged blond brassy hair?

I have always had good results with dyeing my hair blond in the past; it has always been a natural shade and healthy looking. However, I have moved to the country where we have well water with a lot of rust in it, and my hair is really picking up the rust.

We have a water softener and I use a shampoo that is supposed to take it out, but it is leaving my hair just fried looking and dry.

Another major problem is I wear hair extensions a lot. My reddish hair doesn't match my $500 extensions anymore.

I have gone to a salon to get it fixed once, which was very expensive. It ended up leaving my hair a lot darker blond than I prefer. It wasn't red, but it didn't match my extensions, which I even brought with me. (the colorist, who owned the salon, wouldn't admit it- she said I was picking at every little detail) I dyed my hair at home to match the extensions again, which worked for a while, but within a month it was back to the rust.

Does anyone know a way to get the rusty color out of my hair? I have tried dying it more, but it just seems to bring out the brassy reddish tone now and not lighten it any further.

I need some way to get this terrible rust out of my hair without destroying it! Does anyone have a suggestion?

  • Oven problems...many... any ideas?

I have had a lot of problems with my oven. I can't afford to just get a new one though. I'm just starting out so I rent a house from my mom, and I don't want her to have to replace it either.

Here is what has happened: I cooked a turkey at christmas, and the bottom heating element stopped working. I tried to see if it was lose but it wasn't, so it was like I was always broiling food atfter that since only the top heater worked.

When that started happening, there is a light that switches on when the oven is on, that light would stay on all the time, even if the oven wasn't on.

I tried flipping the circuit breaker and it made no difference.

My mom came to look at it, I don't know what she did, I wasn't home... but the oven door will not open now!!! There is a lock that slides back and forth for when the oven is in self cleaning mode. It is not locked, however, it does look like it is tilted some and possibly catching it somehow... maybe? I can't see anything catching, but I don't know what else it could be.

I have tried unplugging it and turning the curcuit breaker on and off many many times- this is the only advice I have gotten so far. I actually leave the breaker off most of the time because whenever it is on, that light indicating the oven is on stays on, and it kinda scares me that it may actually be heating up.

I can't remove the door because there are no hinges on the outside. There is nothing in the bottom drawer blocking it. Even the racks are out of the oven from trying to fix it.

I tried using a butter knife and a screw driver to try to make sure that lock was all the way over, and it is. I can open the door about a half inch or an inch before it catches, but not for enough for me to see inside. The oven cleaning light is not on.

Does anyone have any idea how I can get the oven door open? Any suggestions are appreciated!

  • ok to not say I love you?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for over a year now, I'm in my mid twenties and he is in his early thirties. We have never said the L word to each other.

I don't think he has ever said it before, but he hasn't had any long relationships before either.

I said it once to him after we had been drinking a lot. We had been together like 7 months, and he replied "No, you like me a lot." So, I haven't said it again.

It doesn't really bother me that we don't say it. I feel like he shows me he loves me instead of telling me. He is really good to me and I am positive he cares about me a lot.

But is this something that should bother me?

Ok, I have a lot of questions... answer one or many...

Would it bother any other girl? Does it mean he doesn't love me? Does the word love = commitment to him since he's never said it before? If he hasn't said it after a year does it mean he'll never say it? Is it ok if we never say it? Does it mean I'm a really long fling? (I want to hear what guys think of that)

I am really ok with it. I am kind of an Along Came Polly type myself, and I don't even like to think about commitment or marriage or anything... I just like being whatever we are at that moment, but I still want to hear other people's opinion on it.

  • How do I get my cat to stop scratching the furniture and my bedspread?

I have a kitten (ok, more like a teenager cat) who is scratching everything! I know this is a normal behavior and they need to do it, but it has torn up my furniture. I'm getting new furniture soon, and I want to make sure she quits before I get it.

She has a cardboard thing with catnip in it that is designed for her to scratch. She likes it and uses it, but still uses my couch as well! I have yelled at her and smacked her paws, but she still does it, especially if i'm not in the room or she thinks I'm not watching. Sometimes she'll start doing it and when I start to get up to correct her, she'll quit and run away.

What can I do to make sure she stops? Especially when I'm not there?

  • Liquid nails removal?

The previous owner of my house used liquid nails on everything- from putting shelves on walls to hooks on the back of doors. Does anyone know a way to remove it without damaging the drywall or wood?

I have pulled one shelf thing down that was attached to the back of a door, but the residue is left. I don't want to damage the door. I can't use sand paper because it's not solid wood.
