Should I cancel my interview with Vector?
I recently got a letter in the mail from Vector after my graduation. I called and made an appointment for Monday, but then I just looked up more information from them. I can't solicit my family because we're all struggling for money and I don't know many "references" because this is not my home state. It just doesn't seem like a job I can do, now that I know what it is and I definitely don't have $100+ to spend on knives.
Should I just go ahead and cancel my interview? Or go for the experience or something? I don't have a job, and no one else has called me for an interview.
1 AnswerOther - Careers & Employment1 decade agoYaz side effects help?
I was prescribed Yaz and began to take it this past Monday. Within two days I was already having side effects. So far they have been minor, but they are annoying nonetheless. Plus the exhaustion (which I know is from the pill) that I've been experiencing has been interfering with my schoolwork. It makes it hard for me to wake up in the mornings and concentrate in class because I am just so sleepy.
The other side effects I've been having are breast tenderness and, well, vaginal soreness.
I still want to give it time to see if I adjust well to this pill because I did not adjust to Loestrin when I took it about 2 years ago. That pill was like hell on earth for me. I'm taking Yaz to help with possible cysts and my incurable cramps.
Is there anything I can do to offset these side effects?
Thanks in advance.
2 AnswersWomen's Health1 decade agoCan you answer my ovarin cyst questions?
About 3 weeks ago I went to the ER because we thought I had appendecitis. Although they couldn't find a source for the pain on my right they found an ovarian cyst on my left ovary. They gave me some ibuprofen, vicodin, and promethazene for the pain and told me to make a follow up appointment with my primary doctor.
However my primary doctor is pretty much anyone who will see me at the military hospital because my dad is in the navy. The pain has gotten much worse since my trip to the ER. I finally had an appointment but they weren't able to do anything until I had an ultrasound since they couldn't obtain my CT scan results from the "civilian hospital."
I had my ultrasound earlier this evening, but I won't know anything until tomorrow at the earliest. Until then I have a few questions. Oh and I'm 17 and have never had a painful cyst before.
1. Do ovarian cysts usually cause nausea and/or vomiting?
2. What can I do when the (800mg) ibuprofen doesn't help with the pain? I'm out of Vicodin and a heating pad makes the pain worse.
3. Are there any symptoms to know if the cyst has twisted or ruptured?
4. Is there a way to remove a cyst without removing the ovary?
5. Should I stay home from school since the pain is almost unbearable and I was dry heaving (I have a strong stomach) earlier?
Thanks in advance for any help, advice, or personal experience.
5 AnswersWomen's Health1 decade agoA Few Airplane Travel Questions (Southwest)?
I'm flying out this week from Norfolk, VA to Oakland, CA on Southwest and this is my first time flying alone (I'm 17). I have a few questions I would like to get cleared up before I go.
1.) If I bring my laptop and a carry-on on the plane does that mean I can't bring my purse? (Like does the laptop take place of the purse?)
2.) If I check in online the night before to print my boarding pass and get an A pass, can I still check in a bag the day I fly out?
3.) Which are the best seats on the plane since you get to pick your own seat? (I don't have to go to the bathroom a lot btw)
4.) I want to work on some earrings for my friend to keep me occupied on the plane. But the only thing I'm concerned about is getting my jewelry pliers taken away. Are these allowed? They are really small (about the length of children scissors) and they have wire cutters on the inside, but they are very weak since they are only made for jewelry.
5.) This one I'm just double checking on. Are you allowed to bring food on the plane? And can I bring an EMPTY water bottle pass security to fill at a water fountain?
Thanks in advance for your answers!
2 AnswersAir Travel1 decade agoHow do I get rid of Vimax ads?
Yesterday I was on my laptop and I left the room to do something. I came back and my laptop had shut down. So I restarted it and I got the blue screen of death. I managed to turn it back on a few times and my TEMP folder in one of the user accounts is corrupted. I continue to get the BSoD if I don't run it in Safe Mode.
On top of all that, I keep getting nasty Vimax (penis enlarger) ads on every page I visit and I get redirected to random sites when I use a search engine. I can't access sites like Malwarebytes. I downloaded Malwarebytes Malware Removal but I think whatever is on my computer has disabled it from running. Any anti-virus software that does run doesn't detect it. Only Prevx has detected anything, but I can't delete the virus or whatever because Prevx is the free version.
How do I get rid of this ASAP? I have Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit. And my laptop is a Dell Inspiron 1525. If that helps at all.
2 AnswersSoftware1 decade agoAny ideas on how I can make this dress, preferably without a pattern?

I really liked this dress and I was wondering if anyone can give me an idea on how to make this. I have a good sewing machine (not a serger though) and I am pretty good at sewing by instruction. Even directing me to a site that has instructions would be greatly appreciated!
1 AnswerFashion & Accessories1 decade agoAre these quirks or OCD?
These symptoms have been going on for the longest time, but they've just gotten worse and have been happening more often lately. I think it might be because I have been under an unusual amount of stress. Plus, it's gotten so bad that my friends have actually been commenting on it a lot.
My biggest thing is that I can't have anybody walking on my left side unless there is someone on my right side. It's gotten to the point where I will stop in the middle of the crowded hallway and switch sides with whoever I'm walking with. It causes me a lot of anxiety if someone is walking on my left with no one on my right.
Next I have to organize my crayons. The other night I couldn't sleep because I kept thinking about everything that was out of order (and I'm not usually a "neat" person, my room's a mess) and I got up out of my bed at 11 at night just to organize my crayons to give me some type of peace.
I don't like uneven (odd) numbers unless they are a multiple of 5. I took a test and I felt like I automatically failed because there were 27 questions instead of 25 or 26. It bugged me until I got my scores back.
Whenever I'm not at home (whether I'm at school, or a friends house, or at the store, etc.) I always have a bad feeling that someone is going through my stuff or moving things where I don't want them. My grandma does have a tendency to clean my room, but that's a rare event.
I also have a lot of "What if..." thoughts. Mostly involving tragic events like death or accidents. They bug the crap out of me.
It might just be me overreacting, but I'm starting to have a hard time not saying anything about what's bugging me in my mind. Is this OCD, or just random quirks? Please help!
6 AnswersMental Health1 decade agoPreparing for college...should I major...?
Next year is my senior year and that means preparing for college.
I've been in band since sixth grade. I play flute which, unfortunately, can be extremely competitive in college. I've also taken a Dual Credit Psychology course this year. Psychology is something I've been interested in for the longest time and it's a subject I believe I want to pursue.
The problem is I don't want to give up music. I've considered musical therapy, but specifically majoring in just musical therapy is not something I want to do. So I think that majoring in Psychology and minoring in Music would be the best idea.
Has anyone else out there done this? Does it sound like a good idea? Does anyone have any suggested colleges that would allow this (East Coast)? Many thanks in advance!
10 AnswersHigher Education (University +)1 decade agoDo I have whooping cough and a bruised rib?
I've been sick for about 2 weeks now. Last week it was just runny nose, sore throat, mild cough but this past week the "cold" symptoms have pretty much gone away, but my cough has gotten a lot worse. I'm fine for a while (like when I first wake up) but I randomly go into coughing fits especially when I'm trying to go to sleep at night. For the past 4 days in a row at night it's gotten so bad it made me puke. I have asthma, but this isn't an asthmatic cough, I've had enough of those to know what it feels and sounds like. Plus I've been coughing so hard my ribs on my right side (around the area of my bra band) has been really sore. It hurts to touch it. My mom doesn't believe me and won't take me to the doctor. Do I have whooping cough and possibly a bruised rib? (I'm 16)

1 AnswerHomework Help1 decade agoTeenage sexuality psychology thesis?
Would doing a survey of teenage sexuality using (my high school) students be a good thesis? It's something that I want to try, but I'm not sure what my thesis should be. I'm thinking something along the lines of does religion affect one's sexual orientation or if peers affect one's orientation. Any suggestions? Other easily testable thesis are welcom too!
6 AnswersPsychology1 decade agoHow to help cramps after temporarily stopping the BC pill?
I started taking the pill about 3 months ago, but it was only three trial packages (Loestrin 24 FE). I was supposed to go back halfway through the third pack, but my mom never made the appointment. (She's busy with her new job.) I went on the pill in the first place for horrible cramps. During the pill I got really bad nausea, but it got a little better after about a month and a half.
Now that I'm off the pill (until I get a real prescription) I kept getting bad headaches, acne, and random food cravings. I just got my period this morning and cramps are killer. I tried Pamprin this morning (which didn't help) and Diurex PMS (which also hasn't really helped). Plus I'm bleeding A LOT. Is there anything to help this until I can get back on the pill???
3 AnswersWomen's Health1 decade agoLoestrin 24 Fe BC Help. Just finished first week...?
I just started taking Loestrin 24 last Sunday. That Monday I had to skip school because my period was so bad. I was nauseous and had the worse cramps I've ever had. I cried that whole morning.
Throughout the week I've been moody and easily angered. Plus I get random bouts of nausea and tiredness. I try to ignore it, but it's getting hard especially since I get in trouble for it. I've also been on my period since last Saturday and it's still going on.
My mom says it will be worth it a couple of months from now, but I don't know if I can deal with this. Does anyone have any experience with this pill or some advice to help with the symptoms?
Oh and I'm 15 by the way. Had my period since I was nine.
4 AnswersWomen's Health1 decade agoFexofenadine causes drowsiness?
About 5 days ago I started taking fexofenadine (180mg) that my doctor prescribed me. It's common brand name is Allegra.
I've become more drowsy and irritable since taking it. It's also difficult for me to focus, especially when I'm multitasking. My mom thinks it's the medicine that's causing it, especially since I can get easily drowsy from something like Benadryll.
I've read the medicine info on the package and on the Allegra website and it only mentions dizziness as a side effect and says it shouldn't cause drowsiness. I have to take the medicine for 5 more days but the next 5 days are exams. Is it the medicine that's causing this? And should I stop taking it like my mom has adviced me to?
