  • Yahoo answers?

I was recently deducted 10 points for an answer that I gave by a "respected yahoo answer member". The answer I gave was a reference to a free website about stock trading. And thus it was a fair answer. How does Yahoo answer pick these "respected" members. When a question is in an opinion state, does not that allow for an opinion to be stated. I was deducted a few years ago as well, for one of those.

I of course will appeal, but it seems very odd that Yahoo would put together a team of "censors" that are so repulsive.

In your answer please add a link to Yahoo answer complaints if they have one, I think there are too many players and to few adults.

  • My older desktop, a Gateway, just stops.?

It will run for about 20 minutes then shut off. I have to unplug and wait, and then it will do the same. If I just turn off the puter from the main switch it will not go back on. Both fans are working fine, but they also shut down. It is a cool room, and I have even opened the sides to allow more air into the area.

  • Think pad modem will not dial?

I have an old think pad, and it will not dial out. I have dial tone. There are not any USB ports or anything easy like that. I am hooking this up for an older friend, who does not have internet service. Everything else seems to work, and it powers up.

  • Router Problems, non wireless?

I have three computers and was using a 4 port router (non wireless) I like the security. Now I have moved, and the Gateway is about 65 feet away, and I can only get one puter to work, and without the router. I have tried two routers, and they just don't work. The various indicator lights are all doing what they are supposed to, but Internet page cannot be displayed.
