Excel Macro Question?
What I want my macro (or cell) to be able to do is to sum select numbers from a column. The way I want it to select a particular cell is to have a numeric identifier in the adjacent cell. For example, if cell A2, A4, A6, and A7 have a value of "1", I would like it to sum cells B2, B4, B6, and A7. What would be the simplest way to do this in excel?

I am wondering why it is so hard to find these 'scientists' actual field of study or what their degree is in? After Google'ing several 'signers' I realize that they have degrees in neurology, nursing, statistics, biology, etc. Why is it so hard to figure out who these signers are and why won't they just give a list of what they do?

I need to find years that are equal in a query but for several different years. Here is what the Access query needs to do:
I have the fields x, y, z, and date.
I need x and y to be equal and z to be different. Also, if that is true then I need them to be in the same year. How can I write something that is looking for the year to be the same but different years at the same time?
1 AnswerProgramming & Design1 decade agoHow do I create a query that finds dates within a specific range?
I was wondering if it is possible to create a query to find dates that are within a few days/weeks? Would it be possible to create a query like this but be similar to a query that finds duplicates(this one finding close dates instead of duplicates)? I need this to create some statistics of variation between dates and don't want to have to search through thousands of records to find close dates that have one other field in common.

2 AnswersGarden & Landscape1 decade agoDate Validation Rules for Access?
I am trying to create a validation rule for Access that would try and use other fields to limit entries. So if a field2 is 'yes' then I want my date field to be restricted to jan-may and if field2 is 'no' then my date field to be restricted from june-dec. Is this possible?
