  • Can I refrigerate meat that I thawed in a microwave? How Long?

I had 3 pounds of meat, but only needed 1 pound. So I thawed the 3 pounds in the microwave and immediately refrigerated 2 pounds after it was thawed.

How long can I keep the meat in the fridge before it goes bad? Or Has it already gone bad from the microwave thaw? Is what I did safe for the meat?

I know that a microwave can cook meat, mine did appear uncooked when it came out of the microwave.

I know that fridge thawing is the best practice.

  • Why won't my car start?

    I have a 2002 Saturn SC-1.

When the ignition is in ACC position, the dash indicator lights flash. 1 second on, 1 second off. I can also hear the fuel pump engaging for a second, then stopping, then starting. It won't stop unless I turn the key off or turn the key to ignition.

When I turn the key to iginition, the indicator lights go out, the fuel pump stops. The starter does not make a noise. I've replaced the battery twice, and it indicates "good" on tests. This also happens when boosting. I haven't confirmed if the battery drains when installed.

Symptoms began on a very cold day (-45 C). While looking it up in a haynes repair manual, it indicated alternator or ignition, but that I should take it in to the shop for ignition diagnosis.

  • Would a different size wire affect engine performance?

I replaced faulty wires for my fuel system (fuel pump, filler pipe, fuel level indicator etc.). One wire I had to replace with a larger gauge wire. The larger wire is about 1 foot along the circuit. It is 10 gauge along a 14 gauge circuit.

Would that larger wire cause the engine to stumble on acceleration? My spark plugs and wires are great. I replaced my fuel pump and filter. I did a quick check on my manifold for vacuum leaks. I still need to closly look at the injectors.

Please let me know if this could be the problem.

  • Should my repair be good if I replaced only the pump and not the fuel pump assembly?

When I replaced my fuel pump, I got this little tomato-paste-can sized pump. I had to take apart the assembly to actually get to the pump. My repair manual says, "The fuel pump assembly cannot be disassembled... In the event of a defective fuel pump, replace the entire assembly as a single unit or module."

Well I disassembled it, and replaced just the pump. Is my repair bad? I should get the wiring and the straining and the housing canister.. whole shebang?

    Fuel filter replaced.

  • Would a malfunctioning fuel pump make the car stall?

So I'm sitting at a light and my car stalls. I diagnosed it to a fuel pump. Replaced the fuel pump. And the car still doesn't start. But what if it weren't the fuel pump to begin with. Would a faulty fuel pump make the car stall after the car was already running? I thought the pump only operates when turning the car on and off.

  • If I remove the filler pipe to my gas tank, will fuel spill out?

This is for a 2002 Saturn SC1, a small car. I have about 3/8 of a tank. The filler pipe has a syphon blocker right next to the tank. I need to empty the fuel for a fuel pump replacement. To get past the blockade, I need to remove my filler pipe at the tank. Will fuel come out when I take it off? After all, the filler pipe is located on the side of the tank about an inch from the bottom.

And (just speculating).. the siphon hose was dry even reaching the bottom of the pipe. I wonder if the block on the tank. How would fuel get in and not drip out?

  • What's the etiquette of posting a picture that isn't mine?

At work, someone took a picture of their baby. On the tv in the background is a possible ghost child toddler face screaming! I would like to ask the internets what they think it is, but it's not my picture.. What's the etiquette here?

  • Who says "Everyone listens to J-Pop in the future"?

I can't remember what I was watching, a movie or a cartoon or a tv show or reading a comic.

The scene I remember is two people riding in a car. One person claims to be (or is) from the future. The passenger is skeptical. When the passenger turns on the stereo, it's playing J-Pop. The person from the future claims that everybody listens to J-Pop. I think the passenger is a woman, the person from the future a man. I can't remember anything else except there might be some sexual tension between them?

  • Why did my wife leave a la senza catalogue on the table?

My wife left a La Senza holiday catalogue on our table before she left for the weekend. Her weight has recently went up. So I'm not sure if she wants me to buy her something for Christmas. If I get her current size, she might get upset with that size. Maybe I'll get her something in a lower size, but if it's underwear, what's the return policy? We're also really low on funds and she knows we have hardly any money for a $75 gift. So why's it here?

  • Where can I buy a hanger waterfall?

My work has these great flimsy clear plastic strips with about 12 holes in them. You put the top hole into a hanger and hang other hangers in the holes. It saves space! So yeah, where can I buy these things?

I've seen bulky injection molded hangers that come in fives, but that's "too" expensive and won't save as much space as the 12s.

  • Should my Facebook status update call an actor who passed away sexy?

The Facebook status I wanted to put was, "If I let my face hair grow out and wear the right clothes, I can look like the guy from the Old El Paso commercials. Does anyone else find him sexy, or is it just me?"

His name is Francesco Quinn and he passed away on August 5, 2011. It felt kind of awkward posting like this about a recently (?) deceased person. I tried adding, "RIP Francesco Quinn." but it felt a little insensitive. I haven't posted yet, wondering what you Yahoos think.

  • Should i do some chores?

My wife stays home and has little to do. So she does the laundry, dishes, and some painting we need to do. And vaccum and sweep and mop and cook meals.

On the weekends though, I have some spare time. Should I be doing those things? In the past, she gets upset that I'm taking away the things for her to do (very boring where we live). Like laundry and dishes. However, recently, she complained that the dishes were NOT done.

So in the last week she's been painting the bathroom. I could finish it today. But do you think she wants to? You know, to fill her day with it? She said on facebook she wants to spend this week getting the house saleable (oh yea, we're selling the house, hence the paint).

I asked her already, but she hasn't texted me back, and the question feels mundane and simple, but it prevents me from doing a lot of chores.

Thanks Answers community. You're the best.

  • Is there a form of entertainment like tokusatsu meets WWF?

Firstly, I want to know if there are any tokusatsu like the WWF except with ninja moves and lasers. Kind of like Dragon Ball Z's Bodukai... except in real life.

Or maybe I'll be satiated with some current tokusatsu. Can anyone direct me to such entertainment?

  • What should I do with these balloons?

For our anniversary, I filled 60 balloons with 60 notes. But I only gave her about 20 in a garbage bag. Sounds aweful typing it.... anyway, we've been having some trouble. The idea was to have all 60 balloons in the living room. But while blowing them up the night before, I realised our puppy might pop and eat the balloons and that's no good. I realise now that I could have put the puppy in a different room. I'm not that bright apparently.

In any case, the rest are still in the basement just sitting there. I don't know what my wife did with the others. She's likely seen the ones in the basement, and hasn't touched them.

So. What should I do with them?

  • Should I fix my wifes childhood ring?

It snapped off. I want to fix it because it would be a nice gesture. But I'm reading a psychology book and it's talking about putting your childhood behind you. If the broken ring is a piece of her childhood being put away, fixing it would not be beneficial.

I'm overthinking once again. Thank you Yahoo Answers community for helping.

  • Should I go home or go to counselling?

I scheduled a counselling for many reasons. One of those reasons was a breakdown in my relationship. Today I got a text saying my significant other is moving back home.

Do I cancel my counselling appointment and go home?

  • Can I use a different DC adaptor for my electronic device?

    The device specs are: 12V, 1.5A, 15W

    The plug I have is 12V, 800mA, 21.6W

What's the acceptable range? can I go 12V, under 800mA? I found out with less watts, the adaptor got really hot. and the device would blink on and off because it wasn't getting the right power.
