1 AnswerRap and Hip-Hop6 years agoDo all hairs grow at the same rate?
I notice that most of the hair on my head is 5-6 inches long, but there are hairs that are only 2-3 inches long mixed in there. Is this from breakage or do all the hairs grow at different rates?
4 AnswersHair7 years agoWould this "Reverse Triangle Workout" be effective?
The basic premise is reps to failure starting at a heavy weight and then gradually decreasing the weight. You would have 5 sets and you would start at 70%-80% 1RPM, do as many reps as possible and then decrease roughly 10% 1RPM on each successive set. What would this workout be good for? Is it a good way to get hurt? I've been told it is meant to blend both endurance and strength building exercises but I'm no expert, therefore I came here.

1 AnswerDiet & Fitness7 years agoHow should I train swim 6 or more laps continuously?
I need to swim 300 yards continuously(with breast or crawl stroke) for lifeguard certification, I'm athletic but not a swimmer. I've got 2-3 months till I have to do this. I can swim about 3 laps now before I get too tired to swim further. Obviously I should practice swimming to get more endurance, but is there any supplemental exercise out-of-water or in-water that will help me?

2 AnswersMythology & Folklore9 years agoIs it possible that Neanderthals mixed with humans?
I ask because some of the people in my family have very similar traits to Neanderthal albeit watered down and not quite as pronounced, such as strength, and a noticeable Supraorbital ridge. I think that it would be a long shot to say the least to say that we some how carry Neanderthal genes but I am just curious if it is even possible, because of the similarities.
7 AnswersAnthropology1 decade agoAre you smarter than a caveman?
Think when your hungry you go to the fridge or go to McDonald's, if cavemen got hungry they had to go out, find, and plan on hunting it. If your prey is 20 time larger than you this takes a considerable amount of planning and strategy especially when you only have spears. Another fact is that people are taught almost everything in school and cavemen had no school so they had to learn it all by themselves which takes a higher degree of intelligence.
Also I believe you can't say cavemen were dumb because they didn't know math. Cavemen had no use for math so they didn't have to learn it, it is the same with many other studies that modern man know more about. For example you may know calculus but do you know how to make fire with no modern conveniences, how to tan a hid, what flint looks like, or how to kill a Mammoth with spears

I don't really understand what it means to say "It takes a village" and why it is often used in the derogatory sense.

3 AnswersSociology1 decade agoWhy are all humans not incredible athletes?
Through evolution, shouldn't humans all be able to lift twice there own weight run like Olympic sprinters and so on. I theorize this because, for example, if through a genetic mutation a group of humans could run Olympic sprinters that would give them an advantage when hunting food and they when they were escaping danger and they would live over other humans without that mutation and the trait would spread and so on.
You could apply this to any characteristic, so why does it seem humans are so "weak" and "slow".
