  • My daughter has been constipated for 4 days now, how long can she be on miralax?

My 3 ½ yr old daughter has been having constipation problems for about 4 months now. In June, when I went to the doctor's to get her checked. They didn't seem concerned about this ongoing problem. Telling me that I need to give her more juices (which she has always lived off of since she was 18 months old at least 24 oz a day still!), more fiber in her diet (I added alot more to her diet plus I have her on fiberChioce for the last month and a half), and exercises (she is a toddler she runs around plenty). I am very frustrated because now she is on her 4th day, she wont sit on her bottom directly because it hurts and the miralax I was instructed to give her is beginning not to work like it used to. She is not holding it in, the doctors kept using her being potty trained as an excuse. I am potty training her but I don't push the issue because she will do it when she is ready, I know this! She is not my first child, I have 2 teenagers that I potty trained (not a babysitter or daycare).

Does anyone know how safe miralax really is? And if there is one special thing that I can give her to make her regular, I will try anything.

FYI: I did the grapes, peaches, plums, dried fruits, prune juice with apple ( cause lets face it, prune juice is nasty!), grape juice, broccoli.

  • Allergic to eggs?

I don't know if I am allergic to eggs but I get sick to my stomach whenever I eat straight eggs. I don't get sick when eggs is mixed into something like a cake. All I know is when I make scrambled, over easy eggs or hard boiled eggs, I get sick like I get when I drink or have anything with milk in it (I am lactose intolerant). Could I be allergic to eggs?

  • Electrical problem in my car?

2002 Chevy Cavalier. Obviously, electric windows. My driver side window goes down only when the air conditioner is running, but only very little. The window will not work unless the air conditioner is ran for at least a minute. Anyone know why?? I thought it might be the motor, but if it was the motor, wouldn't all the windows be affected? The other windows go down with no problem. We checked the fuses, only 1 fuse is blown. Anyone can email me if they want to help, I don't want to send my car to the shop for days on end to find out it was just something simple that I could have fixed myself. I am a full time student and have kids. I need my car!

  • Do you think a 15 yr old mentally retarded boy should be left home alone?

My son is developmentally behind by 4 yrs which medically makes him mentally retarded. He lives with his father. And I am afraid that next summer he might leave him home alone while dad & GF go to work. I know my son, he is 14 now and can't do things for himself. A year for him is not going to make a difference. I know I am worrying about this alittle early. But what age legally can a mentally retarded child be left home alone?

  • How long can a person use Prednisolone Acetate Opht for?

I have an eye condition that my eye doctor is stumped about. My eyes are red like I have pink eye but it's not pink eye cause I am not burning or itching and don't I have have yellow seep-age. He thought it was from my contact lenses, but that's not true because I left my contacts out for a week and it didn't go away. So without him knowing I used Prednisolone Acetate Opht that I recieved from my eye surgeon (I had surgery last April and had problems from that so my surgeon gave me prednisolone). I started using that to get the redness away and it worked. I am wondering should I take myself off of it or is it safe for continueous use?
