  • ipod playlist help ?

Is there a way to take some files from the "music" library and put them in a separate playlist so they will only play when that play list is selected?

In other words....I want some songs (albums) to only play when I select them from a specific playlist. I don't want them to play when I select the general "music" (all songs on the ipod) list.

I don't need to know how to set up a playlist or how to create a playlist. I do need to how to make it so some songs will only play when a specific playlist is selected.

  • Looking for magnesium or titanium floorboard "scuff" pads.?

I've spent an hour searching and can't find anywhere that sells these but I've heard of people that have them.

Looking for the scuff pads that go on the bottom of the floorboards for my Yamaha 1100. (Yamaha part name is "mole"). Mine have worn down and any more scraping I do will now be on the floorboards themselves.

However, I want magnesium or titanium parts as I've heard these lay out sparks when you scrape. Just think it would be cool; especially at night.

Any one have these? Where did you get them? Thanks.

  • Tire air pressure question.?

For optimum performance and mileage (I realize these may be independent of each other) do you run the tire at the tire manufacture's air pressure rating or the motorcycle manufacture's rating?

For example MC's rating is 33 front / 36 rear. Tire manufacturer's ratings are 38/42

  • "new" 2nd dog in house training question?

My new wife brought a spoiled dog into the marriage. I can't re-train or I'LL be in the dog house. (I tried) The dog has it's run of the furnature, allowed on all beds and under the covers, is constantly being fed people food treats at the table (so it's always begging). Has never been taught come, sit stay etc. so you really can't take it anywhere because it's a nusience.

We want to get a second dog and my wife has agreed to my rules and training for the new dog. No furnature, no beds and no human food...especially from the table. She has also agreed to letting me train it to obey so we can go places with it.

My question is.....Will training a new dog to NOT do all the things the other dog is allowed to do be possible? (From the dogs point of view) Will the new dog resent the existing dog and cause behavioral problems?

  • Law regarding stopping at stop signs. (United States)?

Let's assume a couple of things. One, no other traffic in the area. Two, your at a T intersection. If two cars in the same lane traveling in the same direction come to a stop sign at the same time. The first car drives past the stop line and then stops before entering the intersection. Car two arrives at the same time and stops at the stop line.....So, they both stop at the same time but car 1 stops past the stop sign and car 2 stops at the stop sign.

Can car 2 go at the same time as car 1 (legally) since car 1 actually ran the stop sign and car 2 stopped at the stop sign.

  • How to find abandoned tracks?

I would like to build a vehicle that is either pedal powered or possibly powered with a small engine that will travel on RR tracks. Think of a bike that rides on the rails.

Obviously I don't want to ride on tracks that are in use. So, where can I find a map (or other form of description) of railway lines that indicate which ones are abandoned?

I've looked on the net and can't find anything that's very detailed and nothing showing which lines are abandoned. I know this is illegal so you don't need to alert me to this fact. I live on Northern Ohio (USA) if that makes any difference

I can get the general jist such as losing a friend and someones fantasy but would like a more detailed translation if you are able. Thanks.

  • Do "LGBT" people get upset when straight people, (couples) got to a "LGBT" club?

I don't mean going looking for hook-ups. We would like to go just because I have heard that sometimes they be fun places. I would assume that most inside are open minded and relatively non judgemental people and therefore makes for a fun and relaxed atmosphere

  • Old train lantern question.?

I was just given a lantern and told it was used on the trains. (I know enough about rail history to believe this is so.) It's one of those that would be used to signal all clear, etc to the engineer by the track personel/ conductor.

It is round (cylyindrical), battery operated and has two "flashlight" lamps on the bottom. My question is: It does not have the battery. Does any one know what kind / name of battery it took so I can look for one? It would be about the same size as the big square 6V batteries used in flashlights but obviously would be round.

    Thanks to all who answer.

  • How to work on plumbing and electrical in a non basement house ?

I am a pretty good DIY plumber and an okay DIY electrician. However, in every home where I had to do the work always had a basement or crawl space. I am getting ready to buy a house without either and my question is:

How do you access the plumbing and electrical if you can't get to it from the basement. I know it's in the walls and I will probably have to cut sheet rock to get to it. But I guess what I'm really asking is how do you detect where the exact problem is? Whether it be a leaky pipe or running an extra outlet.

I guess I will have to access wiring from the attic but still not sure about plumbing.

    Thanks.

  • Anti-Gravity device finally invented??

    The Buttered Cat Principle

The Facts... If you drop a buttered piece of bread, it will fall on the floor butter- side down. If a cat is dropped from a window or other high and towering place, it will land on it's feet.

The Problem Stated... But what if you attach a buttered piece of bread, butter-side up to a cat's back and toss them both out the window? Will the cat land on it's feet? Or will the butter splat on the ground?

The Answer... Even if you are too lazy to do the experiment yourself you should be able to deduce the obvious result. The laws of butterology demand that the butter must hit the ground, and the equally strict laws of feline aerodynamics demand that the cat can not smash its furry back. If the combined construct were to land, nature would have no way to resolve this paradox. Therefore it simply does not fall.

That's right you clever mortal (well, as clever as a mortal can get), you have discovered the secret of antigravity!
