My 8 week old Maltese Poodle mixed puppy just wont pee on the pee-pad.

When we got him he was supposedly trained and ready. But he pees everywhere BUT on the pad. I have a knee injury so going out is pretty hard for me, hence the reason for the pee-pad.

I have tried everything.

Every time I see him starting to sniff around, I put him on the pee pad. but instead of peeing he runs off the pad and goes to pee right on the carpeted floor. I'm doing everything I can to clean up after him. But it feels like we haven't even progressed one step forward yet.

When we wake up I do the same thing with the same result.

After he eats / drinks, same thing, same result.

I hate to loose my patience, but I am really starting to. What am I doing wrong? I've tried every puppy training video, positive reinforcement and saying "NO" when he pees in the wrong place.

Is he still too young to understand? But how could he already been successfully potty trained at the breeders? (I saw him pee on a pad there all by himself).

I'm confused. He's an amazing dog and listens to me when it comes to everything else but this.

Me and my wife have now been married for a little over a year (got married September 2012) and unfortunately because of indifference's she wants to get a divorce. We tried couples counseling two sessions but it didn't really help.

Joint electricity bill.

Joint internet bills.

A letter from landlord stating we have been living together. (We're not on the same lease, since I've been on month to month and we wanted to move to a new place together and not get locked up to this apartment for another year)

I can get 3-4 affidavits from friends and my family as witnesses that our marriage has been bonafide.

Letter with her name on our address.

Unfortunately, there's no joint tax returns yet, since she filed early 2012, and we we'rent married then. And stupidly, she wanted to keep our marriage a secret and since her parents reads her tax papers, she didn't file us as married. But those Tax returns have not arrived yet,.

Is this going to be enough? The joint tax return has not arrived and wont arrive in time.

I'm getting really worried.

My kitten is a bit antisocial, hates being petted unless he's sleeping. Biting and scratching. We've tried everything by the book. He's unaltered. Will neutering him help?

So we went to a toyota dealership. We got the errors that's wrong with the car, but what's weird is that I checked up what the parts cost online, its 200 dollars in total for both water pump and radiator.

Should I go to a mechanic instead of the dealership? Will they do it for cheaper?

Me and my wife got a siberian kitten that we had been looking forward to for a long time. We needed a new loving family member after someone we knew passed away.

We looked around for breeders for a long time, over 4 months.

We finally found our kitten, he came home to us when he was 8 weeks old, I've owned a lot of cats before in my life, but I've never encountered a kitten that hates being touched or being affectionate at all. He'd doesn't mind being carried, but every cat I've had before wanted to be petted and cuddled with.

Our kitten is now 12 weeks and worse than ever, we have done nothing but give him endless amount of love and care. He gets the best food (raw diet). We do play with him a lot. But as soon we try petting him he shrugs away or just doesn't want to be touched. It's really disappointing and heartbreaking for us since we wanted a cat that gives some kind if love back.

It's impossible to get him to come up to me even when using treats. He sleeps in the bed with us which I think is odd since he basically shrugs away from us all day. When I try to touch him when he's sleepy he moves away.

We have even tried ignoring him for a whole day. But that just made things worse. I've read all websites and some says that cats personalities can differ, but I don't believe nothing can be done, is there any good training technique?

We thought of neutering him this week, will this help?

How do we get him to love us back?

Me and my wife have gotten a Siberian kitten, we got him about 1.5 weeks ago.

There's one problem though, the family we bought him from probably let him bite them when playing. Now we have gotten to inherit this as a problem.

It might be play bites, but I know that when this kitten is 20lbs heavier the bites wont be that much fun anymore.

We have tried everything the net says we should do:

When he bites our hands we give him a toy to play and bite instead.

If he bites us hard, we stop playing with him and ignore him.

When he attacks our face (Yes he bites our face too) we say "ouch".

I have now started to say "no" because the bites don't seem to get better. They're getting harder because he's growing.

How can I make my kitten stop? I don't want to use methods that'll make our kitten dislike us.

I am getting into a desperate situation and I have no clue how to proceed.

Me and my wife applied for our Green Card earlier this year through a lawyer.

I am a citizen of Sweden, I was illegally born in Iran because my mom had to escape after the revolution. My name never got registered in the Iranian system, and there' no proof of me being born there. In my Swedish Passport and Swedish Citizen Certificate it says that I was born in Iran. But I have no Iranian documents whatsoever.

At the interview we had the worst nightmare interviewee that seemed to exist to make our life hell but all the marriage questions went well. It seems like USCIS had attempted to reach my lawyer about needing a birth certificate from Iran, now our lawyer kind of messed things up for us by NOT responding and ignoring their letter and we found this out at the interview. The interviewee told us she could deny her case right away, but gave us 84 days to receive the document needed.

Now comes the best and most confusing part of all. The document they need doesn't exist.

She gave me three pages, on the first page she marked this:

"Birth Certificate of beneficiary Rostam-- -- -- and English translation - See attachment from the Foreign Affairs Manual as to birth certificate availability from Iran"

On the second page:

X, Submit a copy of the applicant's foreign birth certificate issued by the appropriate civil authority. If the document is in a language other than English, you must submit a copy of the foreign language document and an English translation.

If the birth certificate is not available, per title 8 Code of Federal Regulations, Section 103.2(b)(2)(ii), you must submit "an original written statement on government letterhead establishing this from the relevant government or other authority. The statement must indicate the reason the record does not exist, and indicate whether similar records for the time and place are available." If your birth certificate is not available, please submit acceptable secondary evidence including but not limited to church or school records listing your parent's names and your date of birth, hospital records of your birth, etc.

See the department of state's foreign affairs manual found online at http://www.state.gov/ for more information on acceptable birth records for people born outside the United States.

Here's what 103.2(b)(2)(ii) say in the title 8 code of federal regulations:

(ii) Demonstrating that a record is not available. Where a record does not exist, the applicant or petitioner must submit an original written statement on government letterhead establishing this from the relevant government or other authority. The statement must indicate the reason the record does not exist, and indicate whether similar records for the time and place are available. However, a certification from an appropriate foreign government that a document does not exist is

not required where the Department of State’s Foreign Affairs Manual indicates this type of document generally does not exist. An applicant or petitioner who has not been able to acquire

the necessary document or statement from the relevant foreign authority may submit evidence that repeated

good faith attempts were made to obtain the required document or statement. However, where USCIS finds that such documents or statements are generally available, it may require that the applicant or petitioner submit the required document or statement.

In the State's Foreign Affairs Manual it says this about Iran and Iranian documents:

Identity certificates (Shenasnameh)

Available. Identity certificates (Shenasnameh) showing the date and place of birth, parents' names, place of residence, and marital history where appropriate, are issued to Iranian nationals in urban centers by the Department of National Registration and Statistics (Edareh Sabt Ahval va Omar) and in rural regions by district (Bakhsh) offices of the Department. These are accepted by the Embassy in lieu of birth certificates for visa purposes. Information contained in these certificates must be evaluated with the understanding that certain data, particularly dates and places, may be inaccurate. No official fee is charged for delivering documents to the applicants. When these documents are requested from abroad, an indefinite waiting period should be expected before a reply is received. Birth or baptismal certificates emanating from ecclesiastic authorities of the church to which non-Moslem applicants belong are frequently of doubtful value. Moslem ecclesiastic authorities in Iran issue no documents to visa applicants.

I underlined the last part because that's what's really confusing me.

I've the Iranian authorities, and there's no way to get that document. No way, getting the ID "Shenasnameh" will take over 6 months and I have about 74 days left.

Me and my wife are both allergic to cats and we have decided to get a Siberian cat. We've been to 3 different breeders now. The first one I didn't have any reaction at all, but my wife had some itchiness and redness on her skin when she touched the cat.

Second time same thing, but this time my wife had severe reactions to the kittens scratches, I felt it a little.

The third time we met the kittens at week 3. Her reactions where really minimal and I barely felt it (had a red eye for 10 min then it was over).

Now we have decided on the third one. We made a visit at week 5 to meet the kitten again. The queen was grooming the kitten before we came. And this time we both got reactions. My wife's skin started itching mildly and we both got itchy eyes and last night my whole body was itching(not sure if it was just me or allergies).

I'm sure It's the mothers dander we got reaction from. But we're going to be taking chances it feels like.

Now to the question. A lot of breeders told us that they'll take the kitten back if we're allergic but they also said to give it a couple of days to try for the allergies to subside after you get the kitten.

Have any of you experienced this happening? It sounds weird that all this itchiness will just disappear. Should we keep looking for other breeders just in case ?

I'm currently applying for a Green Card and I'm waiting for my EAD (employment authorization document) to arrive in my mailbox any day now.

I'm a F-1 student and I'm studying at UCLA as well. The problem is that there's a lot of limitations for international students. So when my EAD arrives can I discontinue the F-1 status?

I got interested in the native culture when I went to visit a Powwow in Irvine, I just fell in love with the people. I'm a Persian that grew up in Sweden and my culture is a bit mixed but I'm always open to new ones.

There's no warmer and loving people in the world than the Native Americans.

I need some help to understand more detailed parts of the Lakota culture.

I want it to be culturally correct and I want to show how beautiful it is.

My story is about two native brothers, Wahkan and Mankato. It's set in the 1800's. Wahkan is the older brother.

They find the Wahkan's wife raped and murdered by a lake. There's evidence that a white man has done this because of the clues left behind.

Wahkan is mourning, but he can't live knowing his pregnant wife has died. Two days later, Wahkan is denying what happened, but Mankato needs him to get over his wife and to remember the truth. He takes him back to the lake and Wahkan remembers. He tells Mankato to leave him alone for a while.

Wahkan wraps a rock to his arms and drowns himself in the lake.

A couple of days later, Shilah has to do the vision quest. Having no family left he needs to be able to start his own again.

He’s in the woods, praying and fasting by a fire, the fire all of a sudden extinguishes and he sees a vision of Wahkan crying by his wife’s dead body and also the silhouette of the man who killed her in the woods.

After the vision ends the fire comes back, but there’s something closing in from the woods. It’s a white boy named Christopher that’s gotten lost in the woods. Mankato makes him leave to continue his prayer.

The morning after Mankato finds Christopher lying on the ground freezing. He takes out a blanket and puts it over him and leaves.

He walks by a river, and on the other side he can see Christopher filling up his water pouch. Mankato tries to avoid meeting him but Christopher approaches anyway. Christopher is gives back the blanket to Mankato

Mankato is praying by the fire, he receives the same vision again, but in this vision he’s approaching the silhouette and he can see who it is. The man is Wahkan dressed as a white man. He’s covering his bloody arm; Christopher approaches Ahki from the dark again and interrupts his vision. This time, Mankato lets him spend the night by the fire, but that doesn’t give Christopher any sleep because of Mankato’s prayers.

As the story progresses he starts accepting Christopher and they start liking each other. Mankato decides to help him find his way back.

With Mankato’s help they find Christopher’s home. At the cabin Christopher jumps in to his brother James arms.

Mankato is looking from a distance and sees a bandage on James arm. Later that night while they are sleeping, he approaches the house and enters. He sees the same type of Brandy he found at his brothers wife’s body and it is clear that James murdered her.

He’s says a prayer and when he’s about to stab him he receives a vision, seeing himself as Christopher without his brother and the future of Christopher dying poor and alone. When the vision ends and Wahkan is standing in the room with them. He can’t kill James, Wahkan tells him that he’s better to let someone suffer from the scar of knowing what he did.

Christopher wakes up and sees Mankato with a knife, ready to stab his brother. Mankato puts down the knife and is about to leave when James picks up his gun underneath the bed and aims it towards Mankato. The candles cabin extinguishes. You can hear Mankato’s footsteps and a stab that makes James scream. Mankato has stabbed him in the hand. He says that he's leaving him a scar in his hand that will remind of him.

3 months later, Mankato goes back to check up on the Cabin. But instead of it only being one cabin, there’s now a whole village of white people.

LAHD Inspection, What are they allowed to go through?

Just like the topic says. I have an LAHD Inspection coming in for every apartment in the complex. The landlord and manager is coming with them into the apartment. I feel like this is a giant blow to my privacy, but they have the law on their side. Which leads to my question:

1. Can they touch my stuff? For example I have an aquarium underneath a blanket, are they allowed to lift the blanket to see whats underneath it?

2. I've put up a shelf on the wall, now Its a very small shelf and I didn't ask if i was allowed to, but every tenant in the building has basically done the same thing, one guy drilled a TV-mount onto a wall. What are they going to do about that?

3. Will they inspect every corner? Meaning will I have to move all my stuff for them to access the corners?

4. How long does the inspection usually take?

I've set up a Hospital tank for my fishies, now my fish has all gone through the copper medication for 14 days. I've done 40% water change over the past days and have had the carbon running for about 36 hours.

How long will it take until I can start adding antibiotics ? I'm surprised to not have found any other questions like this.

I have a Canon T3i, and I got a job to film a conference next friday. The problem is, I have a Canon T3i, and it's made more for shooting films than video.

There's a protection setting for the T3i that will make it stop recording when the sensor is about to get overheated (After about 3-4 minutes). And since its a conference with speakers, that can not happen.

I have 2x 16gb sandisk extreme cards (Class 10), so the cards are fast enough.

My question is:

If i keep recording in 720p instead of 1080p, will the camera's sensor still automatically stop recording?

I have a 60 gallon long SW tank thats being upgraded in 4 months to 125 gallons.

Right now all the fish I have are juvies, around 1-2 inches.

1x Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish

1x Porcupine puffer

1x Saddle puffer

1x Chromis

1x Yellow tang

and of course my Poor Maroon clownfish.

The clownfish and porcupine has now been in my quarantine tank for 3 weeks.

But every time he's been in the display tank, the stupid tang has been nipping his fins and harassing him into getting sick, hence why I have him in the QT, and the porcupine is kind of new so I'm QTing him out of precaution.

I tried having an anenome for my poor clownfish, but because the tank is so shallow, the anenome's usually last 1 month before they go suicidal and fly into the powerheads (the powerheads are placed as high up as possible).

I'm thinking of getting another Juvie maroon clownfish and introduce them both back into the display tank at the same time. Do you guys think that would help? Any suggestions?

There's some part of the aquarium equipment leaking. It might've been the power head that was aimed too high. Now I have a huge problem. There's about 0.5 gallon of water that spilled overnight, it might not seem like much, but in my complex, any water spilled goes right through the floor and down to the neighbor, another equipment had been leaking 5 gallons overnight and the results was yellow spots all over the ceiling downstairs. The area is wet and I tried to remove most of it with a towel and now I'm blowing it with a hair dryer (been doing this for the past 45 min)

Is there anything I can do to prevent the water from going down and yellow spots appearing?

I have recently bought two new fish which both had Ich.

The Yellow tang (2 inch) was in the display tank for 4 days, when my new lights arrived I noticed her having white spots all over her (ICH)

And my clownfish (1.5 inch) had been in a battle with a Dragon Wrasse which we returned, and I also noticed his wounds.

I bought a Porcupine puffer, which has not been in the display tank yet, its a 2 inch fish which I bought from the LFS in the hope to save her from her ICH.

All these three fish are in my 10 gallon hospital tank right now, I'm treating them with Coppersafe and yes I have a copper test kit.

The copper is around 1.5 PPM right now. The Tang and the clownfish are nice and happy, they eat like crazy. The tang was treated with Formalin prior to the copper alone for 3 days before I decided to buy the 10 gallon and the clownfish seem to be happy too.

But the porcupine puffer was already in bad shape from the LFS, she's in the bottom of the tank most of the day and breathing heavily.

Is the copper making it worse for her? Should I switch the treatment to Formalin again? (Of course I would run carbon for 48 hours and do a 50% water change).

I don't want the puffer to die.

I am not sure what my porcupine puffer got stung by, the Lionfish or the Urchins I have.

I have 1 tuxedo urchin and I just yesterday got a longspine urchin.

I also have a Dwarf Lionfish sitting on the same spot all the time not moving, and I know that the puffer keeps away from him (Theyve lived together a couple of weeks now.)

2 hours ago before I went to bed I looked into the tank, my porcupine puffer, Angel, Came up as usual to greet me, happy and healthy.

I couldnt sleep so I went up to check the tank, and I noticed there's something wrong with her.

There's a big red spot on her tail, right before the fin, and she cant use her tail fin to swim. It looks like a sting, she's in a lot of pain.

Now I read that Lionfish stings become black. The urchins are hanging around in a very high flow area, and the puffer likes to be swimming there.

Today I added another Circulation pump, which added alot of flow, so my guess is that Angel got caught by the flow and accidentily hit her tail on the longspine urchin.

I put her in a QT tank and I dosed Maracyn.

Is there anything else I can do? It's my favorite fish in the tank and I really don't want her to die.

I've been having problems with nitrates for the past month. They fluctuate between 20-40 ppm

The tank is a 60 gallon. I have a eshopps 100H Skimmer and around 70 pounds of LR and 20-30 pounds of LS.

I have made my aquaclear 70 into a fuge, the chaeto grows like crazy in it.

I have no space for a real refugium. But I might have space for this:

I have a 60 gallon aquarium, and my nitrates usually get up to 40 PPM a week after a waterchange.

I'm looking to lowering my water changes by reducing my bio load.

Now what I have in the tank is:

2x Saddle puffers (All reef friendly luckily)

1 Chromis

1 Dwarf Lionfish

1 Dragon wrasse

1 Maroon Clownfish.

I'm getting rid of the Dragonwrasse on sunday, and I am really considering getting rid of the lionfish since he only eats live foods anyway. But the question is, will it be enough to keep my nitrates under control?

I really want to start getting into corals since I have 4x Par38 LED lights from Ledtric coming in on monday.
