I'm a freshman and I'm on a college dance team. First semester, I went out with a guy on the same dance team who''s a junior. I liked him a LOT and slept over his place and we got really close. Out of nowhere, he said let's just be friends and we broke up. 2 days ago, I found out that he had made a bet with his friends that he could get a freshman to hook up with him, and that was me. I REALLY liked him still after we broke up and I told him that. I just found out today that while I was telling him that I still like him, he tried hooking up with one of my friends who is also on the same dance team. She rejected him though and he was really upset about it. I am so angry that I was just a bet to him and that he tried hooking up with my friend too. I have to see this guy EVERYDAY because of the dance team. How do I get revenge? I can't just sit around and pretend like everythings okay when all I want to do is slap him in the face. He has no idea that I know about the bet or that he tried to hook up with my friend.

I'm on a college dance team of 19 people and only 18 people get to dance at an upcoming competition. I'm a freshman on the team and there are only 3 freshman on the team so I knew that it could be a possibility that it might be me. I worked my but off to practice and work as hard as I possibily could and the captains knew that. But then they said im gonna be the one sitting out for this competition because I need to work on my footwork. It's embarrassing being the only one sitting out and it feels horrible. I told them that I'm taking a break for a few days from dance because I need to focus on school. After this competition, there's a another one in 3 weeks and if I improve, I could dance in that one. But I worked so hard to try to improve my footwork and its just not working. Should I quit or keep trying? It's embarrassing going back, I feel like a failure.

So I'm president of Future Educators of America, named the best tutor and mentor of a mentoring program, and dedicated hours to clubs and volunteering; however, I am not receiving a graduation cord while others in my school are receiving one just for being part of a club such as FCCLA. Is it okay if I buy my own graduation cord if I feel like I worked hard and really deserved it? Also its embarrassing to not have a cord because everyone has one.

Okay so I like this one guy, let's call him "Bob." Bob sent me a facebook message saying that he knows someone who is serious about going to prom with me. I asked who? And he said "Nate" (his friend).

The thing is, I do like Nate as a friend, but i like bob as more than a friend. And I really thought Bob and I hit it off. We even flirted with each other.

Also, I've known Bob for 4 years now and i've only known Nate for about 4 months.

How do I tell Bob that I wanted to go with him to prom, not his friend Nate??

I was going to go up to Bob and ask him "what if I said no to Nate's prom proposal?"

The dress I want is in the white. I'm really tiny, skinny, and have no body shape. So what kind/type of prom dress would look good on me? Would this one look good on me?

So I applied to BS/MD and BS/DO direct 7 yr/8yr programs and I was accepted into a 7 year BS/DO program and another BS/DO program where I can apply earlier for medical school in my sophomore year of college. The thing is, the college with the 7 yr BS/DO program is not as prestigious as the other one that I was accepted into. And also, I always wanted to do MD since DO is not as popular. I would not mind going to undergrad and then applying to medical school as MD but my dad wants my future to be safe so he's suggesting to take the 7 yr BS/DO program and I can just take the MCATs and apply to med school as MD later on. So what should I do?! Does it matter at all if the college is prestigious or not? Would it be okay if I decided to do MD later on instead?

I feel like the part before the ":" is a run on. If so, how can I fix it to make it sound better?!

My college app is due november 1st but can i still work on it on november 1st and send it in through common app by like 11:59 pm on november 1st?!

So i sent my SAT scores to a college , but how does that college know its me? There's no connection at all with commonapp.org or anything. Its just so disconnected. How do I know that they received my SAT scores or make the connection with my commonapp application and SAT scores from collegeboard? There's no special code or anything, collegeboard never asked me anything.

Going out on a limb is like sticking your neck out and means taking a risk with something.

Is there another phrase/idiom that means the same thing?

I abhorred returning back to reality where I was just an ordinary girl. When I entered high school, reality finally shoved me forward and slapped me in the face to give me a wake up call.

^ I wanted to make "locked up" sound really like i'm locked and i can't get out. I want to use figurative language to describe how it feels to be locked up inside this box and I can't get out. How can i rephrase it?

Through middle school I had myriad insecurities. I always fretted over what others thought of me instead of focusing on what I thought of myself. I was the budding flower whose growth was halted by the lack of confidence radiated by the sun. For me, middle school was years of downpour and no sunlight. I believed that I was inept and incompetent.
