After signing in to Facebook and want to type in where it says “what’s on your mind”

When I start typing this pop up window opens, “Control privacy when you post—or after.” I can either click on post or done. There is nothing where I can exit out this window which I don't want because I don't know if its good for me to have. Because I am not able to rid this pop up window I am not able to type in the blank space.
