My five year old has suddenly developed a horrible habit of "forgetting" to flush the toilet. We have to check public restrooms after he is done to make sure he doesn't leave anything for the next person. He tends to do this more after a BM. We have started punishing him after many months of reminders. I'm not sure what else to do. I want to make signs or a check list he must complete, but my husband does not like this idea. Any ideas or suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

My grandpa is in a nursing home this Christmas. Most things are supplied for him. Does anyone have any suggestions for a gift? We are framing a family picture, and getting him some non-skip slippers. Other "nice" suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

I am quitting for a while. Been ttc for six years next month. I went through two years of fertility treatments and meds and now the doc thinks I have a fibroid in my uteres that will need to be taken care of before we can proceed.

But.....in with the bad news came some good new. In tandem with the fertility we have been trying to adopt through our local children's services agency. We have finally been matched and hope to have these two new additions in our home soon. This may ease my urge to conceive and carry, and it may not. Only time will tell. I can not get pregnant while we are in the process of adopting, or they will not allow us to adopt.

I have a few ovulation test and pg tests that I will gladly mail to the first person to email their address to me. Only U.S. please! They are out of the boxes, but still sealed in wrappers.

I have a lab/boxer mix that steals. Her mother and sister live next door and she goes over and plays. The problem is she steals from the neighbors. Dog toys, their children's toys, vegtables from gardens, apples from the porch, and more. She has brought home shoes, socks, baseball caps, tool kits, newspapers, gloves, and more. I hate to fence her in, because she does like to play and the neighbors love her, but obviously that would be a solution.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get her to stop, other than fence?

I have a homework assignment and need some information on a taboo in Kenya. The problem states that an American travels to Mombasa for business and while there takes several pictures. When taking pictures of the people, they become upset. Can anyone tell me why? What is the taboo?

I received a call this week regarding two under school aged siblings. My husband and I are one of two families who may be granted custody and be able to adopt these children.

Can anyone who has adopted through the foster care system give me any suggestions regarding questions I should ask? What will they look for in my home? Anything I should or should not do or say?

The Dr. measured my uterus lining and he said it should be at least a 6, but mine measured 12. Does anyone know if this has any effects on pregnancy or ttc? I know if the lining is too thin you could miscarry.

I am not going to make it through the weekend. I am on day 11 dpo after almost six years of ttc and my first round of Clomid and an HCG Injection. Lots of signs that can go to either pregnancy, PMS, or just in my own head. Nausia, sore breasts, cramps, emotional, loss of appetite. The only differenc is my uterus feels like it does a flip-flop from time to time. I have never felt that before (that I can remember). Again, actually happening or wishfull thinking? Nurse said to test Tuesday or Wednesday, but I will be testing everyday!

I had the HCG injections on 8/17 and IUI on 8/19. TTC for almost six years and this is my first month on Clomid and the HCG. Trying not to get my hopes up too high, but it's hard not to. I am having some signs of pregnancy, but I'm not sure if it's still the HCG injections. HPT scheduled for 9/4.

When we were going through the adoption classes, we were shown a video. It was Chinese and African American adoptees who were very resentful about being adopted by Caucasian couples. I’m finding myself very apprehensive now. Has anyone adopted or been adopted outside their race and culture? How do you feel about it?
