Is the quality of recording streaming audio (songs) greatly less than store bought CD's?
Just looking at the files....each song is 3 or 4 MBs,...so I could fit almost 200 songs on a CD.....right?...so the quality of those files must be quite awful. Will I hear a huge difference when I burn a CD of those? I read that choosing the 128K sites are best......so I did that....
thx
1 AnswerMusic & Music Players1 decade agoOn Windows 7, how do I put icons of programs I use on the task bar?
I'm new to Windows 7, I may be wording this incorrectly.
If I understand this.........the task bar is at the bottom of the page, with icons of programs. I want to add some programs down there, to use like a shortcut, instead of going through the start button.

2 AnswersOther - Computers1 decade agowho knows concrete, what can we do to our step?
we have an exterior concrete step, 2 steps. It is at most, 1/4 inch down from the threshold of the French doors. We would like like to cover the bare concrete, give it some color, but stone would add too much thickness....is there something thin that can be added to the surface to add color to the bare concrete, like some kind of epoxy,...would it last a long time? Or is there a way to grind down the surface and lower the surface so that stone could be applied?
thx
4 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agowhen I play movies on my laptop, it's super slow...what can I do?
the sound is fine, its the video, it stops on one frame, stays on that frame for a second, then jumps to another....it isnt a smooth movie, its all choppy.
I'm playing these from CDs that I've burned using Nero. Here's my question----
How do I check to see if it's my computer...is there a setting that will smooth it out, or if its the CDs and maybe when I burned them something was not done properly. I still have the original movies and don't want to delete them until I'm certain the CD's are burned properly and the movies work.
thanks

4 AnswersOther - Food & Drink1 decade agospecific roofing question for house in CA?
an insulation guy came over, gave a price on blown in insulation for the attic. he mentioned the venting seemed insufficient, specifically the small vents located in the bays between the rafters that extend out from the roof, under the eaves. he said in CA he thought the standard was every other bay should have a vent, for the pitched roof we have, along with vents located on each gable end. our house has a vent in every 5 or 6 bays.
anyone know?

6 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agofor you AC experts out there.......?
Our AC guy said the existing returns are too small---our 3.5 ton AC unit requires 1600 CFM, and the two grill sizes total about 700 CFM. One grill is near the unit, the other down the hall. He cant find a location for an additional return, so we have a real mess to resolve.
My question--If theres room in the wall to increase the size of the return in the hall, how large can I go before it's too much for the existing 16" duct work to move?
Also, if you know of any websites that offer information on this stuff...
much thx
2 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs1 decade agowhat size return grill do we need for a 3.5 ton AC unit?
....I'll cut it short. Our house won't cool much, 1800 sq ft ..AC guy said our return grills are preventing enough intake, the 3.5 unit is appropriate size.
He said it needs about 1600 CFM, and our grill size is around 700........
Thanks
