1 AnswerDodge1 decade agoWe have a 5 yr old cat (Cleo) and yesterday we brought a kitten (Schatze) home.?
They are both female. Cleo is upset. She will act curious and follow Schatze around but if she gets too close Cleo will hiss and swat at her. Of course we are giving Cleo lots of extra attention. I know Cleo needs time to get used to having another cat in the house. I was just curious on the average time it may take or if there is anything we can do to help the process along??

Seriously, I've gotten her a few cat nip toys and and she more or less turns her nose up at them. But, she goes crazy when she smells bleach! If I put it in the wash, I'll find her rolling all over the laundry room floor. If I use Clorox Clean-Up, she crazy attacks my hands. Actually, come to think of it...even permanent marker makes her crazy, as well as any ink pen that was drawn on thick, e.i crossing something out, I'm always shooing her away cuz she's licking it...Is that normal???
