I recently read a review of a Canadian built motorbike , $42,000 , the manufacturer advertised the battery as lasting "the life of the bike" . I left a comment saying you'd be lucky to get 3 years before the Lithium battery gave up, depending on usage , and a new battery would be about $ 7-10, 000.

Was I right?

I have 5kw max output of solar panels, but only have at present a 1kw grid tie inverter. Early morning and late evening these panels will only produce at 20% and deliver 1kw so can I connect them all to the inverter and leave them connected without overloading it at mid day?

100w led normal operating current is 3.5A ; absolute maximum listed as 7A ;but is this absolute max. What about 1ms pulse or less and what sort of light output? ( @ 3.5A we have 9kLm.) ...thanks
