  • What should I do with this hurt kitten?

So we have a backyard cat that has lived there for years. She's well fed and healthy. Recently, she had four kittens but three were attacked and killed by buzzards. Traumatized, she hid her last baby for almost a month under our shed and has only recently allowed her to come out. The problem is both, the mother and the kitten were wounded. The mother had a scar across her face which has healed but the kitten has only one eye! She's also quite thin and not very responsive to the environment. She seems to be deaf and near sighted. Should I take her to a vet? I don't have any money. Is there some kind of group that will at least take a look at her to make sure she's okay?

  • Why are black women in media always light-skinned?

I've noticed this for a while but on beauty, hair, clothing commercials, and even tv shows, the black women on there are ALWAYS light-skinned. There are lots of beautiful darker women out there but the media portrays them as ugly because they're not light. Also, in reality, you see more darker skinned black than light skinned. I wish something would change this because I'm sick of hearing my friends and family belittle themselves because they're not light-skinned. They don't even show just brown women on tv. When you see a black family, you see a dark-skinned dad, a dark-skinned son, a light-skinned mother, and a light-skinned daughter which is totally unrealistic. And it's only the females!! If there is any dark-skinned women, they are always represented as loud, trashy, sl***y, ghetto, or jealous which is not true! They are also represented with "bad" hair. I've seen many dark skinned women with beautiful hair and many light skinned women with hair that is dying of thirst. Sorry if I'm ranting but this really upsets me and I'm not even dark-skinned, I'm just brown. I just need to here what others think about this.

  • Why does the media portray video games as bad?

Okay so I was watching the news the other day and they were talking about GTA V. I guess it was some controversy over its content but that's what you expect for a game rated M for MATURE meaning only people 18 and older can purchase it. I got so pissed because I tired of the media always pointing their fingers at video games. They always say "it not safe for our children" or "causes mental issues" and all that BS. Some videos games such as Mario, are for children. GTA V is for adults. The GTA series has already encountered issues like this in the past (such as the GTA: San Andreas sex mini game), so what makes people think this is going to be "kid friendly." Don't blame the video games, blame the careless parents for buying them for their 8 year old brats.

Gamers out there, do you feel as I do?

  • Why are some people smarter than others?

So I've been feeling kind of down today because I made a C on my Chemistry test and my grades are really going downhill... I'm a straight A student and always have been. I've never made a B on report card in my life but this class is really hurting me. I just don't get it. Some people in my class understand it the first time it is explained, how? They understand everything from Algebra to English to Chemistry to Physics. How??! I work my butt off to maintain my grades while they just seem to pass with flying colors. Honestly, I don't really feel "smart" at all anymore.... I need some advice, encouragement, and an explanation.....

Also, the Chemistry teacher does not offer tutoring (which is stupid considering 70% of his students fail).....

    Thanks for reading.

  • Will I get a YouTube copyright strike if I make a "best of vid" for......?

I want to make a "Best Of" video for one of my favorite YouTubers. Will I get a copyright strike? I'm making the video for that person. I will give credit and even leave a link to their channel in the video and the description. That person isn't really that popular but he is really funny. Should I or should I not make the video?

  • Why are there Grammar Nazis?

It's not really about the grammar when it comes to the internet. It's more about comprehension. Why do people not understand that? Let's take this for example:

"Its going to be a long night if your going to walk home."

You read it and know that they meant "It's going to be a long night if you're going to walk home." A lot of people don't get that it's about comprehension and not the grammar itself. Just because they misspelled something, it doesn't mean that you cant understand it. I understand if you correct someone because they say something like:

"Itz gonna b a lung nite if ur gonna wolk hom."

That sentence needs some serious help because I can't comprehend something like that....

There are some Grammar Nazis that are trolls and others that are really serious about it.

    Grammar Nazis=Comprehension Morons

  • Why do people think Light-Skinned women are prettier?

Why do people think light-skinned women are prettier? I know that being lighter resembles purity so they say. Not a lot of people I know think that black women are pretty. I'm black but not dark nor light. Half of my family is light-skinned. Sometimes I feel that I'm not pretty because of that.

I was in a school beauty pageant last year. There were 11 white/light-skinned girls and 10 black girls. When they were electing the top 10, 9 white girls and only 1 black girl was picked. All the white girls had blonde hair and fair skin. The girl that won was a platinum blonde with the lightest skin. After the pageant was over and school resumed my teachers were even talking about it!

    Why is this?

It doesn't seem that men have this problem. Do they?

  • Why do people think being closed minded is bad?

I'm closed minded I guess....I just don't like doing certain things and have strong beliefs and morals about other things. Why do so many people frown upon close mindedness? I don't judge people. I have no right to judge. I was having this discussion with my aunt the other day about close minds and open minds. She said that there's nothing wrong with being either one but I can't help to think that being open minded is better. She gave me a scenario of what a closed minded and open minded person would do in a situation.

Scenario: Skinning dipping in a lake.

Open Mind: Sure! I never tried it before! It sounds like fun!

Close Mind(Me): No thanks. I don't want to get in a random lake. You know the stuff that could be in there! I could get a bacterial infection down there! Leaches could latch onto my body! I don't want to take the risk.

I would think that close minded people are just a bit more cautious when it comes to things. What's wrong with being cautious!? I'm not saying that open minded people aren't cautious. A lot of people tend to think that close minded people are very judgemental and it's "their way or the high way." I'm not like that. People can do and believe in whatever they want to as long as their not hurting anyone.

Also just because I say I'm closed minded doesn't mean I'm going to live a boring life. I didn't want to go to six flags because I was afraid of falling off the coaster(yeah I'm a coward) so I went to the aquarium instead and had a great time! One may had been more "fun" than the other but the point is that you still had a good time.

How ironic that some people claim to be open minded but always judge others especially closed minded people. Open minded people have told me that close minded people are mean, judgemental, and boring. That's sounds pretty closed minded if you ask me.

  • Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae (Hell Girl) Anime Question?

On Jigoku Shoujo Mitsuganae (Hell Girl: Season 3) episode 21. What just happened? Did the whole family go to hell!? Did he send the baby to hell!? I'm so confused! I thought there were rules according to the Jigoku Tsuushin: You are not allowed to send someone under 4 days old or someone over the age of 80, to hell. How he'd send an unborn baby to hell in the first place!?!?!?!

  • Why are most horror movies centered around white people?

I know this is a stupid question but has anyone ever noticed that most horror movies are centered around white people. I just watched the movie trailer of "The Conjuring" and the first thing that popped into my head was "Another generic movie centered around a typical white family who won't just leave the house." I haven't seen a horror movie with the main character of the story being a different nationality in a long time. Why not make a horror film with the main cast being Mexican, Black, or Chinese. I don't get that. I'm black and I love horror movies. Is it for money or just for the general audience(white people)?

  • How to deal with a spoiled child that isn't mine?

What advice can any of you guys give to me so I can give it to my Aunt. My cousin is 8 and she is a spoiled, ungrateful, selfish, little brat. She makes her sister's life (who is only 11) a living her. Her sister was the sweetest thing but now she is under the influence of her younger sister! Isn't that supposed to be the other way around!?

I go over their house to be with her sister to help but recently, my cousin has really been getting on my nerves so I've stopped going. Their mother does absolutely nothing. I know she tries her best but my cousin intimidates her. She even disrespects our grandmother! (Grandmother is the highest authority in the land. Whatever she says, goes.)

My Aunt offers me babysitting jobs but I refuse them because I can't handle her. I haven't been there in over a week but it seems everywhere I go, they magically appear out of no where! I can't get a break unless I stay home.

To make it worse for her sister, my Aunt has them attached to each other. Whatever ones does/gets the other has to do/get the same. My cousin threw a temper tantrum because I refused to get her anything for her sister's birthday. So guess what her mother did!? She went out and bought her a tablet (IPad thing) and had to wait to get one for the actual birthday girl. My cousin's sister is basically like a little me, so I wouldn't mind having her come over but she can't go anywhere (even with her own friends) without her evil little sister tagging along.

She's spoiled rotten and no one ever says anything. At times, I just want to smack her across her face. She so ungrateful, and when I tell her that, she throws a tantrum. She is NEVER satisfied with anything!

I see that this behavior is starting to rub off on her older sister. She was really sweet but now both of them are extremely selfish. We went to go buy fireworks the other day and my Aunt was a couple dollars short so she asked for their money. They complained and cried when she took it. She had told them that they would be spending their own money! Anyways, sorry for my long rant.

How can I deal with this or this child! I can't take it anymore, I need advice! Has this ever happened to you!? Should I just stop going completely?

  • Why do companies ask Youtube to take down certain videos?

Okay so basically, I was trying to upload a video of my favorite anime openings and Youtube said that it was copyrighted so I deleted the video. Why do companies such as Viz media, Viacom, etc. want those videos taken down? We are basically promoting there product. It makes no sense. If someone were to see my vid of my favorite anime openings, I'm pretty sure someone would be like "What's the name of that anime, I want to check it out." They could become a fan and start viewing and purchasing the products of that anime. Same thing with music. If someone hears a song that they never heard before and like it, they would want to listen to more of it, and start buying the artist's albums. Why? Because they seen a simple video on Youtube. Do companies not get that? Obviously, many know who that anime/song/etc. belongs to. No one is trying to steal anything, we just like to share our ideas using some different forms of media. Some people say to just upload content that is yours. Not everyone has a high-definition camera, some kind of music-making technology, or some animation program. Is there anyone who might work with or know these companies who do this, and can you please explain to me why you do this!?

  • Questions for atheist. Please read. :)?

    1. Why did you become atheist? Was it because something tragic in your life or advancing science, etc.

    2. When someone dies, you believe that their soul is just gone forever!? :(

    3. Do you find religion ignorant?

    4. Why do you feel that religion waste time?

    5. Why do some of you take the stories of the bible so seriously? Ex. Everyone knows that all those animals couldn't fit on the arc!

    6. Why do some of you blame everything on God! There is the devil which no one seems to mention!

    7. Explain to me your thoughts on ghosts. I think that there is plenty of proof of the existence of ghost but many seem to ignore it.

    8. What if God is real?

Please answer the questions before reading further :)

These are many of the things that I've heard atheist say so here is my take...

I don't really see how someone could be an atheist. We as humans need a source of purpose in life and guidance. That is why we follow God, to give are pathetic lives meanings. Without some sort of guidance, we'll go crazy! If you convert to atheism because of a tragic event in your life, it is not always God's fault! To many are quick to blame God. There is also the devil. We should keep faith for we do not always know which caused what to happen. God can cause good and bad and so can the devil. If you converted because of science, maybe God created all of the science for us to discover and explore so we can make the world a better place for all of God's creatures. With question 2, I find that believing that after someone dies that they're soul will be somewhere where they could be happy like heaven instead of disappear forever. Who wants to believe that, it's just plain awful! Even if it was ever proved that that is what happens, I still wouldn't believe it. Imagine being a parent who lost their child. Which would they rather believe, that their child is dancing among the stars with a smile or that their baby's body is rotting in the ground and their happy soul is nonexistent. Why do you find religion ignorant? We do have some religious fanatics that shove their opinion down your throat but THEY are the ones who are ignorant not religion in general. I've also heard that some atheist think that practicing religion is a waste of time. Giving up an hour a week to go to church and five minutes every night to pray is wasting time?! What do you have to do that is so important that you can't do that! Why do some of you take the STORIES of the bible so seriously. They were meant to teach us how to live and deal with problems in our lives, not to be taken so literally. Also, what if, in the end, when you died you stared God directly in his face. What would you say to him? I don't what I would say. I am afraid. I think I would burst into tears.

I just don't understand atheist. I do respect your opinions because a good Christian is supposed to :) but I just want to know. I don't mean to offend anyone also.

  • Is there any way to send an email to a video game company?

I know that my chances of them seeing and following through with my email are slim but I wanted to ask Konami if they would reboot the series Bloody Roar.

I really think it deserves a reboot for the idea is refreshing. All they seem to be making now is sequels (The never ending Call Of Duties) and reboots (Tomb Raider) so why not reboot Bloody Roar.

Some of you may not heard of Bloody Roar but it's a really fun fighting game to where the characters can turn into beast mode(animals). The story is decent and the fighting is well balanced.

Also I think this game deserves a reboot for it was under the radar during its release. Games like Tekken had stolen the spotlight(I love Tekken as well). Giving it a reboot will not just enlighten the younger and newer gamers it will also increase its popularity which it lacked back in the 90s.

I just want to send an email to Konami containing all of this information but I don't know how and need some help ^_^

Also, do you think Bloody Roar should get a reboot?

    Thanks guys!

  • Help! I think my little brother is haunted :/?

Call me crazy but I think my little brother is haunted.

He is only 5. A lot of people tell me that it's just his imagination but I feel that it is more than that. This all started when he was born. Ever since we brought him home, he would giggle at lights, "talk" to things that aren't there, and some mornings, he would wake up with a scratches across his legs.

He a sickly child and can never stay healthy so maybe its just angels protecting him. One night, he was running a dangerously high fever. We took him to the hospital but they later dismissed us. While me and my mom where in the kitchen, he randomly walked up to us and said "Do I have to go live in the sky with Jesus?" Me and my mom were terrified! He later talked about a girl named Travia and how she wanted him to go live in the sky. My mom was like "He ain't going no where!"

We had other incidents when he would talk about the boys with the sharp teeth. (I would be extremely creeped out because for him to see their teeth they had to be smiling). Because of them he hates going to sleep because he is afraid to dream because he doesn't want to see their face.

He also talked about a girl named Una. He said that she about his age and was very nice but shy. He said that she would "disappear" whenever someone came into his room. He said that she always talks about her mom, dad, and her heart and how you should keep love in it.

He doesn't talk about the boys or Travia much but he always mentions Una. He tells us when she's around. I feels that she's around all the time but I don't mind. He feeling much better today so maybe Una helps keep him safe.

Maybe he will grow out of this, maybe not.

Anyways, what do you guys think! Share some of your experiences with the supernatural (if you have any) :)

  • I need help on deciding which language I should learn!?

Hi guys! I need help on which language I should learn. Japanese or Chinese.

I have started to learn Japanese but stopped because I've been extremely frustrated with learning the grammar. I am terrible with English grammar and it's my native language! I've wanted to learn Japanese because of their culture and their influence. Things such as anime and music have also influenced me but I know that you are not supposed to learn a language (especially Japanese) because of something like anime.

I've also thought that I should learn Chinese because it is such a widely spoken language and I'll have more opportunities to use it. I also adore the Chinese culture but not as much as the Japanese. I have also heard that if you learn Chinese before Japanese, learning Japanese would be a bit easier because they both use similar symbols.

With Japanese, I really have a hard time memorizing all the characters plus the grammar rules but I have such a deep passion for all things Japanese.

With Chinese, I know pronunciation is difficult but I know I can do it. Also their grammar is pretty simple and it will be more useful for me later in life. I just don't have a burning passion to go for it. I need something to motivate me!

I do plan on learning both eventually for future career and recreational purposes. I don't plan on living in China nor Japan. I've heard that China is not very clean and I've heard that Japan doesn't have good heating in homes (I am extremely cold natured so that would suck for me).

Haha! With me typing out my ideas, it really helped me straighten out my thoughts :)

I just want an opinion from you guys. What do you think I should do!
