my dog is 57 days pregnant, and i have noticed some new strange behavior. she is trying to dig all the stuff out of my closet, and i do not want her to have puppies there because there is a heat duct there and im afraid that one of the puppies will get lost in it. second she is just laying around panting and when she isn't laying around she is thriving for all the attention. i have noticed that the other dogs have stopped playing with her i don't know if they can since that she is about to have puppies or not but they are generally always playing this has all started this week. I have gotten her a whelping box but she has no interested in it at all will it be ok for me to move her into it once she goes into labor? this is the first time i have had a pregnant dog since all my other dogs are spayed or neutered. so i guess i would like any info that would help me help her.

My male border collie has been neutered for three years well my female came into heat and i found them locked or tied together. I did not think anything about it when my female went into heat because the male is fixed for that matter all of my dogs are either spayed or neutered except the one, but when I just took her to get her fixed I found out she was already pregnant. how is this possible?
