If I were to have a child, what would my parents siblings be to them and vice-versa?
In my family, my grandparents' brothers and sisters are simply called "Uncle Blah" and "Aunt Blaha". But I've heard it said somewhere that there are "Great" terms that should be applied. Like with Great Grandma, because of the gap in generations.
So I'm asking if the correct term for my grandparents' siblings would really be "Great Uncle Blah" or just "Aunt Blaha", and if I'm their Great Niece, or just their niece.
And-
What my daughter or son would OFFICIALLY be called in relation to my Uncle or Aunt. "Great Nephew" or "Great Great Niece".
Sorry if this sounds confusing!

I just don't get it. Power to men that want to have children, but a pregnant man?
2 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoDoes anybody know a good site to identify the origins of horse breeds?
I'm having trouble finding the origin countries (I don't mean North America at the dawn of time) of different horse breeds. It took me forever to get an answer that didn't say a Hanoverian was a French ruler.
I'm looking for the Pintloosa and something else I can't remember the name of right now. All I know is that it comes from a Pinto and an Appaloosa(?) and then that's as far as I can get.
Help would be appreciated.

Naturally, without any dying or outside interference.

I've seen a lot of 20 yr. olds that rise to Sgt. But is that the highest they can get, or is it not age based?
What's the highest you've seen a 20 yr. old rise to in rank?
9 AnswersMilitary1 decade agoWhat would be the correct way to say this?
My brother's girlfriend is from here, America. But they claim she's "British" because her grandmother immigrated from somewhere in England.
Would it be right to say:
She has British in her- She is British
or
She has English in her- She is English.
And what's the difference between Great Britain and England? Does Great Britain represent the colonial empire and England the country?
3 AnswersLanguages1 decade agoWhat injuries are you likely to suffer in a pedestrian accident?
I tried to find the answer on my own but I just kept getting lawyers' websites. -_-
Have you ever been hit by a car before (if you have I'm sorry to hear that) or was someone close to hit?
What injuries do you think someone would sustain after getting hit by a car going around 30 miles an hour? Would they go over the windshield?
Serious answers are appreciated. (and because I put this someone will deliberately give me a dumb answer) But I thank those that take me seriously.

14 AnswersMotorcycles1 decade agoCan you help me name my two characters?
I'm not so disillusioned that I think I'll be a best seller with this or anything. I just want to try my hand at writing actual books.
My main character is a girl, her name is Melanie. Average height, a little on the over-weight side but only by maybe...10-20 lbs. for her height range. Just finished college, has long, dark red/orange hair and brown eyes.
Her cousin and the 2nd main character is _____. He's still in high school, with blond hair and hazel eyes. Athletic build I guess. He's a little on the recluse/depressed side.
So I need help with last names and a first name for my boy. I was thinking Trenton, nick-name Trent, but it's a bit of a mouthful.
Their last names don't necessarily have to be the same. It doesn't matter to me.
I would just love suggestions.
7 AnswersBooks & Authors1 decade agoThis is to the gays, do you agree with how Adam Lambert is showcasing his sexuality?
First of all, I mean 'gays' in no offensive way what so ever.
I don't know if this question has been asked before, but I want to know if you see his boldness as good or bad.
Do you feel him showing himself off to millions the way he is could help to ease straights into accepting same sex relationships? Do you think this will make them more comfortable with seeing man-man action?
Or do you think that it is harmful to the progress you are trying to make? Do you think what he does gives straights a wrongful view of homosexuality?
Let me know please :)

24 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoCan you tell me where you think hell is?
I've always thought, up until maybe a year ago, that hell was under the Earth. Like everyone else. But at some point I came across the theory that it was in actuality above us, between Heaven and Earth.
Have you ever heard of this? If you have can you tell me where from? I haven't been able to find anything online and I would really like to read more about this if I can.
Thanks
30 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoAre there any good sites/stores where I can buy tennis gear?
My boyfriend has been playing tennis and I want to get him some accessories. As a guy he doesn't really care how he looks when he runs around on the court, but I do, and I want him to look good.
I've already gotten him a racket, and was thinking about getting him a couple different shirts and shorts, so that he would have something to match it. Maybe some wristbands too.
I know that I sound a little...obsessed with this, but trust me, I won't go overboard I promise. Like I said, I just want him to look good when he steps onto that court.
So any places, I don't know Adidas, Nike, just somewhere that sells decent tennis clothes.
Thank you.

I was wondering if there was a type of medication that focused on that specific problem. You know almost like uppers, but without the energy crash...thanks for any help.
5 AnswersMental Health1 decade agoNeed help identifying this book...?
I read this book a few years ago and cannot remember what it's called.
The title of the first book has something to do with Purple eyes, and when I looked up the sequel it had something to do with Silver eyes. The main character is a girl, can't remember her name (-_-) and she lives in a false world. Everyone around her is an actor, playing a part for the government so that they can keep this girl isolated from the real world.
Yeah I know it sounds a little strange.
Somewhere in the book the main character's best friend admits to her that the life she knows is a lie, and that she was there just as a class project. The only other person that isn't in on this whole scheme is a boy that has the same purple eyes as her.
The reason that these two are kept seperate from the real world is because of their heightened abilities. They're like an experiment or something. Its a really good book and I think at the end they both escape.
I know that no one probably remembers or has even heard of this book, but I thank anyone that can help.
