  • Opinions of Dream of Doll BJDs?

I'm on the verge of tossing money at a DOT Shall. She's been on my list of to-gets for almost 2 years now. However, I've found a very small number of reviews and box openings on Shall herself. Anyone own a DOD doll who would like to share their experience?

I've also been wanting to get into the AOD forums for help but don't know anyone else who's into dolls. I live in the middle of nowhere -_-.

  • Is there a portable air conditioner for small scale use?

I'm looking for an air conditioner that's small, portable, and not too expensive. Not a window unit, but not one of the 4' tall R2D2-looking units either. It will be used only during power outages with a generator to keep a small room cool for my pets. I'd like it to look like a fan or something but not too obtrusive.

Is there anything like this on the market?

  • How to paint silk fans using fabric or copic markers?

I bought some silk fans this weekend and want to paint Chinese designs on them. I don't prefer paintbrushes and have been looking into using copic markers. Will these bleed/wash out? Is there a less expensive alternative such as fabric markers?

  • Dreamweaver CS4 making a website template where a sidebar and footer are fixed?

I'm having trouble finding a tutorial for this. I'm totally new to CSS but not to html. I'm trying to make a template where the footer is anchored to the bottom no matter what size the page/browser is.

Most importantly, I want the only thing to change when links are clicked to be a center box with a scrollbar. The area around this content box would stay the same throughout the site navigation. For example, the header and footer would remain unaffected and the sidebars would have update information that doesn't have to reload each time.

Is this possible with DWCS4? Or perhaps Flash?

  • Dressing for an interview: Do's and Don't's for Ladies?

I have a line of 3 interviews ahead of me for an RA position on a college campus. I've never held a job that wasn't family-related and have never had any interview experience. I don't have a full out suit but I do have some pieces of mainly conservative dress clothes.

I have a red jacket, bold red, that I think looks great with my black dress pants and red/black shoes. It's short sleeve though. Is red too bold?

I also have a sweater-dress, black, just above the knee, turtle neck, long sleeve. I also want to wear that with black tights and a pair of dress shoes. However, I'm afraid the length is too short.

I generally have a limited supply of dress clothes because I've never needed them before. Any other suggestions for hair styles, tips, etc would also be great. I don't have makeup and my hair is long and straight (asian).

  • What could cause my corydora to lay on its side and back?

Recently picked up 3 healthy julii corys and after a day I noticed one is much more lethargic than the other 2. It lays on its side mostly and sometimes on its back or vertically. Its not very responsive to other fish swimming near it, nor if I try to move something around it.

The cory isn't breathing rapidly. If anything, he's breathing slower than the other two corys. There are no sores, fungus, fin deterioration or aggressive tankmates.

Water parameters: 0 nitrites, 10 nitrates, 0 ammonia. I change the water weekly.

I've never seen this before but I've read that some people see this regularly in their corys. If you have any suggestions about what it is or how to treat it, I'd appreciate.

  • What are some recommended Web Design Software or Freewares?

I'm not a beginner at web design, more like intermediate. I've spent many years using html to create elaborate sites but that is really outdated now. I've recently been maintaining an art site that uses an online site generator. Unfortunately, it is much too restricting.

Are there any good programs for download or buying that are relatively inexpensive (I really can't afford Adobe Dreamweaver). I'd like something that is media-geared rather than business-geared because I am mainly hosting my artwork. Anything would be appreciated.

Also, flash programming would be awesome, but I''ve never used flash before so it would have to be simple. My current site is http://sweetappletea.webnode.com/ so you can get an idea but I'd like a little more versatility with my gallery and templates.

  • Painting an xBox 360 faceplate with acrylic paint?

A good friend of mine asked me to do a little paintjob on his 360. I'm not sure what paint is the best. If possible, can I use acrylic and a kind of finisher? I'd rather not go out and buy sprays (no work station) or expensive models paints.

Instructions or suggestions would be nice. Thanks!

  • Can I just upload images onto CafePress to be used on products?

I'm playing around with CafePress to see if I like it but I cannot figure it out! Am I supposed to just upload images into the media basket and people can choose to put that image on whatever they want? Or am I supposed to "create", pay the x amount CP is charging, then resell what I've bought?

    Any explanation would be appreciated.

  • Got my earring caught and now my ear hurts and is swollen?

While tossing one night, I got my earrings caught on a loose thread is my pillowcase and YANK! Nothing tore but it sure did hurt. It's been 3 days now and my ear is still a little swollen, but what worries me is that is hurts like none other. Every time my hair brushes my earring (little hoops, cultural thing) or I lay on that side, my ears shoot pain.

Is this an infection? I've been fighting them on and off but never on this ear. What can I do to decrease the swelling? Thanks.

  • Can platy fry grow back fins that have been bitten?

I've been raising fry for a little bit and my oldest survivor of the batch (1 month) has been swimming strange. Upon closer inspection, her tailfin has a couple bites taken out of it. I think this happened when my betta managed to break into my breeding net.

Will the fin grow back? I know they normally regenerate for adult platies but do fry have that ability? Anything I can do to speed up the recovery?

Pristine water parameters and fry have been moved to more secure location. A little aquarium salt, tank heated at 78F.

  • Help with treating unknown disease in freshwater tank?

I think I have have a parasite, internal, that's been wreaking havoc on my tank slowly for weeks. My fish stop eating, breathe rapidly, then just wilt away. I treated the entire tank for parasites using Jungle Labs. This parasite only attacks one fish at a time, I've never had more than one overtly sick fish at the same time.

There was a month long stint when there were no signs of the disease after my initial treatment but now it's back. I lot one guppy and am currently quarantining my currently sick platy. He also has torn fins, like a clean cut. Could this be the problem?

Any suggestions would be helpful. I've done salt baths, medications, disinfecting and all. Please help, thanks!

  • How to best solder a frayed wire in a guitar?

I'm trying to fix up my old electric bass to resell. I've gotten around to replacing parts and tightening screws but I have one problem: the wiring. For years now my input jack doesn't register a connection with an amp, making it virtually useless as an electric bass.

I've found no problems with the internal components except for one wire that is frayed and only partially connected to the original soolder (it's the one leading from the volume knob to the tone control knob).

I'm going to resolder it myself but is it necessary to remove the original solder if the frayed wires is still attached? Also, what's the easiest way to fix this wire? Thanks!

  • Can mystery snails sift through gravel for food?

I have mystery snails, small livebearers and ghost shrimp all together but was wondering, with the rasping teeth in a snails mouth, can it actually get any of the food that's fallen into the gravel just beyond reach?

I feed them flakes, shrimp pellets and algae wafers. I have been suggested zuchinni, dark leafy greens, peas, and celery. Can you feed them fruit of any sort or any other suggested foods?

    Thanks!

  • Choosing between PharmD. and Pharmacy Technician in STL, MO?

I'm currently attending a state U in PreMed but have been wanting to get onto a Pharmacy track. However there are only 2 pharmacy programs in MO and they are both 6 yr tracks for those out of HS. I hope to transfer to STLCOP but I know they don't accept very many transfers.

Would it be tough switching to pharmacy tech after my second yr at the state U? I'm not sure if it's an undergrad program or not but I'd plan on doing it online so I can hold a full time job. Aside from the salary dif, can anyone tell me what would be a better idea?

My other choice is to finish my bachelors in chemistry and apply to a school over in IL but I'm not sure if I want another four yrs living away from home. Moving back and forth is a hassle. Any advice would be wonderful!

  • How can I unlock a privacy lock on a Sidekick II?

I recently bought a used Sidekick II off eBay and didn't use it, so I resold it to someone else. They told me there's a privacy lock on the phone and a prompt appears, asking for a PIN to unlock it. I never put a PIN or lock on the phone and it wasn't locked when I got it, but I'd really like to help this person out.

What can I do to figure out what this lock is? I've called T-Mobile but they say they can't help.

  • What to do if shaving face results in sensitive skin and cuts?

My boyfriend recently started his internship and needs to look sharp = daily shaving. However he says it makes his skin really sensitive and sore and his razor always cuts him. He uses an electric but dunno the brand.

Is there perhaps an after-shave cream or something that could help or a better razor? I saw a commercial for Nivea for Men but I myself don't use creams or lotions so I have no idea how to go about this.

  • Planning on painting room but need to repair dry wall?

I'm remodeling my room and the first thing I've run into is fixing my dry wall. When I was younger I taped up about 30 posters on the wall and upon taking them down, ripped the white paint from my dry wall in little coin-sized pieces. I would like to know what's the best to way to fix this before painting my walls (a dif color)?

Someone suggested spackle and just go over those spots because they're so small but I'm taking any advice I can get. Also, I would like to know if primer is necessary before painting. The spots are small but there are quite a few of them here and there, but not worth an entire can of primer.

    Any advice would be appreciated!
