2 AnswersYahoo Answers4 years agoWhy is there such intolerance and lack of acceptance of people who do not strictly fit in the gender binary?
Especially from people one wouldn't really expect such hostility from, self-proclaimed Liberals and Atheists included.
Or are people different when not online, and actually there is endless over flowing tolerance and acceptance despite all the many news stories of intolerance and lack of acceptance.
Also a lot of these people insist that they are so accepting and tolerant, it just really does not seem that way with there incredibly strict and largely unrealistic rules of who they are willing to accept and tolerate.
Apparent those not strictly following the binary enough are a harm to transgender people despite the fact that those people they are intolerant towards quite likely are transgender and these people's ignorance means they do not realize the complications of meeting those unrealistic and unreasonable and actually unnecessary thresholds.
It really feels as if they do not realize the collateral of their views "in the name of helping "real transgender" people". I strongly think I have very good reason to feel this way based on many accounts, discussions and concerns from transgender people and people who supposedly do not meet the thresholds for tolerance and transgender people who are completely neurotic and besides themselves with anxiety and frustration over stupid rules and thresholds from people who actually do not really in any meaningful way care.
That came out well enough, I have so much to say and question on this topic...
7 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender4 years agoStarCraft Brood War: Do Reavers have Protoss beings inside to pilot them or are they not manned? [Also are they something else entirely?]?
I am not sure about details, I will update question later otherwise...
1 AnswerVideo & Online Games5 years agoMTG Are there any creatures with "cannot be exiled" or "cannot be put in exile", like indestructible but for exiling instead?
There is Misthollow Griffin that is able to come back from exile unless the ability is prevented (somehow?!?) otherwise no matter what.
Creatures can get shroud and hexproof and "prevent damage to" that can prevent exiling from happening.
There are also creatures that can "flicker" out and back into play (or phase out like Rainbow Efreet).
Otherwise um Final Judgement http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.asp... basically "kills" absolutely everything unless countered or "flickering" creatures or put in graveyard (sacrificing maybe), hand or library before resolving.
Are there yet any creatures that avoid being exiled otherways or explicitly say "cannot be exiled".
Any feedback thanks.
Lastly do you think that "cannot be exiled" maybe called unexilable could become a game mechanic?
1 AnswerCard Games5 years agoIs "Alt Left" an actual social group with a specific ideology political? Or is it a made up internet term?
Not so-called "Regressive Left", I get the idea this is the group or some of the more extreme members of the group on the left who endlessly monotonously unfairly unreasonably criticize most of the "Left" and call the most of the "Left" Regressive almost endlessly.
There is a YouTuber Atheism-Is-Unstoppable. Someone called the person responsible for that content "Alt Left". Firstly your view on the term or concept of "Alt Left" and then your thoughts regarding him getting that label?
1 AnswerPolitics5 years agoWhat happy(/synonym) calm relaxing classical music do you recommend? Preferably symphonies, but all recommendations are appreciated.?
By classical music I mean western orchestral prior to 1920 mostly (if you can think of much more modern instrumental compositions feel free to recommend them as well).
Not just calm and relaxing but also happy/up-beat/pleasant.
For example Nine Inch Nails's Leaving Hope https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-GwX5x1cio might be calm and relaxing it just is not exactly "happy" etc.
So something that comparatively is a fair amount more up-beat than Leaving Hope.
But also not happy and/or up beat but not exactly calm and relaxing for example Katrina and the Waves Walking on Sunshine or Outkast Hey Ya.
So something that is also up beat and happy and pleasant but not so excited (or other synonym) that it is not exactly calm and relaxing.
Maybe something like The Beatles Here Comes the Sun or U2 Beautiful Day, and classical symphonies maybe Beethoven 6th Symphony (that one comes to mind). I am thinking maybe some symphonies/compositions by Mozart perhaps (I don't know enough of his stuff of hand).
It does not have to be entirely like those, if something somewhat different comes to mind with the description happy and/or up beat and calm and relaxing, please do share.
Again preferably symphonies but any recommendations are appreciated.
Thanks
2 AnswersClassical5 years agoWhen in Europe and/or "USA" handguns first available to be purchased by any (of age?!?) member of the public?
I am not sure about details. If this question is too vague answer relevant how you feel best and point out and explain anything I am being vague about that makes the question difficult to answer.
I might ask again in better detail and specifics and clarification.
[I am assuming that there have always been restrictions even informally on very young people from being able to buy deadly weapons, but maybe I am wrong about that. Feel free to let me know.]
1 AnswerLaw & Ethics5 years agoIn your experiences; how many and what ratio of feminists are anti-transgender people and against fairly basic rights for transgender people?
I will put details if I ask again.
I am avoiding labels (you are welcome to use them in your answers) somewhat because it might go beyond labels and some might specifically not identify with a label but still hold bigoted views.
Any sincere answers will do fine.

9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality5 years agoIs research being made to possibly alter sex chromosomes? Are there reasons for that to become possible?
...And would that make any difference to physiological functioning.
[I apologize for ignorance on what every last detail of what sex chromosomes do exactly and entirely how why when where. I understand it requires a lot of studying to be an expert or probably endocrinologist/ other doctors deals with chromosomes.]
I am asking because very many critics of transgender people being simply allowed to exist and interact as the gender they are generally perceived as despite what they were assigned at birth, always bring up "chromosomes" thinking that it is some sort of "checkmate" to every-single argument in existence (I think that accurately describes very many of the people that oppose rights and autonomy of transgender people).
I should also point out that many of these people know absolutely nothing about chromosomes it is just an argument that outspoken transgender critics use and are like; "Well despite the fact that I know absolutely didly-squat about chromosomes I am using the argument anyway".
So will there be a day when some intolerant unreasonable person against many rights, freedoms and autonomy of transgender people, when that person says you still have "such and such chromosomes" will the answer ever be "no they no longer are that:)"
[Also don't get me going about the different variations of sex chromosomes which the intolerant and unreasonable always automatically without fail *assume* are either XX or XY despite that really might not be the case].
5 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender5 years agoKnow any chess openings named after Portugal or places in Portugal?
And any details or links.
Just curious. There are openings named after just all sorts of places in Europe (with a lot of countries) so just wondering regarding Portugal.
[If those are difficult to find any openings named after Portuguese players can be included as well.]
That is about all.
2 AnswersBoard Games5 years agoIs there a both Conservative and Muslim "version" of Milo Yiannopolous?
Meaning, is there any openly gay person in favour of gay people having rights and being protected from abuse and is against ideologies that are harmful to people that are gay, and whom a outspoken public figure and is both conservative and Muslim?
Milo is very critical of Atheists and Atheism and is responsible for this piece of ridiculous "Christian Apologetics" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCNsJKVd3BA ,
but if he is verifiable not a Christian feel free to comment on that as well, but include references of course as well.
Milo seems a bit ridiculous, I was just wondering if maybe just maybe there is a conservative and Muslim "version of him", that exists out there somewhere in the world.
[I should definitely find and watch the rest of that discussion and interview, it actually sounds "interesting".]
1 AnswerLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender5 years agoWhen will this HB2 in North Carolina be "solved" (which could mean all sorts of things repealed, altered, addressed, clarified)?
It is apparently technically called Public Facilities Privacy & Security Act.
When will it be dealt with so that people no longer feel that the state is intentionally and explicitly unreasonable and intolerant towards people for existing and explicitly making a concerted effort to be perceived as the gender that they identify including hormonal supplements procedures and operations; and when most people do not think that being tolerant of such people using the seemingly appropriate (according to what people around them perceive them as) toilets is not this massive threat of sexual assault to woman and young girls (which there is almost no evidence of sexual predators going into woman's toilets to sexually assault woman and young girls with the excuse of "being transgender), as well as woman feeling that they will have to deal with the discomfort of someone who is clearly a man.
And other issues regarding employment, housing discrimination and discrimination as a customer or client by businesses. And other things people have an issue with about the bill.
When will it be attempted to be resolved and when will it by most people's standards, including the general public, businesses, The Government of North Carolina (as a whole including opposition within it), LGBT(QIA) people and Christians that are in favour of many things about the bill?
2 AnswersLaw & Ethics5 years agoAre there any really old chess books that sell for huge amounts or at auctions (like the really old Bibles do [relatively of course])?
And what books or chess author or dates approximately are they?
Also how old does a chess book have to be for it to be some sort of collectors item and/or considerably more valuable than a book of it's "content value"?
And lastly do you have any really old chess books, you personally place a lot of value on and how old is that book?
[And also if you work in a pawn shop or auctions would you or have you ever considered putting some very old collectors item chess book on sale?]
1 AnswerBoard Games5 years agoWhat are some really impressive and accurate games by Garry Kasparov winning as Black?
Either a link or details that I can then search for.
Which ever games you recommend as particularly impressive.
Other than this one http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=10671... I am aware of it.
[There will be others I have seen, but that's fine.]
2 AnswersBoard Games5 years agoWere any Ed Wood films financially successful for him?
He is criticized for having done poor films and some were "Box Office Flops". But were any successful or very successful for him?
And how did he do overall?
Also Adam Sandler for example specializes in Razzie nominations and awards (including achieving a clean sweep) and I think he is more financially successful than many with considered good/decent/okay films. Anyway critically poor films doesn't doesn't always translate to failure and vice versa.
[Leaving links and references might be the best way to answer, or a one or two sentence summary or a few sentence of specific examples].
2 AnswersMovies5 years agoWhat are some of the biggest criticism and any unethical/arguably unethical things that that Alan Turing was responsible for? (+references)?
Otherwise answer this what are some of the reasons why people would think that he should not be considered a role model?
Apart from being gay or severely and unreasonably punished for being gay (well arguably I guess, don't include it in your answer though, unless there is a lot more to it than that, then go ahead...), apart from that what are the biggest controversies he is responsible for?
If there are any allegations or regarding arguably unethical things please leave links to reference with.
And also comment on others comments if there are inaccuracies in others answers or the sources lack credibility [which I warn commenters now includes Bryan Fischer and anything by American Family Association for example].
I think Alan Turing was very arguably a pretty good guy. I wondering if perhaps there are things (other things besides being gay or suspected of being gay, which I personally do not consider bad or unethical so yet again do not include that in answers) about him I am not aware of.
Anything is fine even justifications for things people find controversial or arguably unethical. This is quite open ended. [If I need to ask more specific question I will post another question].
1 AnswerMathematics5 years ago(Out of curiosity) Can someone legally registered as sex offender be removed from such a registry over a length of time by good behaviour?
... and meeting all of the court and judges requirements over a course of time since such a person was put on such a register?
If there are relevant specific context a person being removed from a sex offender registry is possible, please put that as well. Also put context of where this does and does not apply to.
Also if you know of places where this is absolutely impossible in either all contexts or almost all contexts, please explain a bit about that as well.
I am just curious I am not very familiar with all crime and punishment with all sorts of things (and there are probably similarities with a variety of other crimes and sentences and punishments as well).
