When I try to start my laptop it doesn't go to the normal screen, it just goes to a screen with two thick grey lines on, and then different colours spread out from the top left corner, and eventually the screen will turn blue with different coloured lines on it. However, if this has happened when the power cord has been plugged in, it will power up normally without the power cord, and vice versa. Can anyone help me? I'm on a Compaq Presario CQ61 with Windows 7.

My Windows 7 laptop has been running really slowly for the past few days, and taking ages to start up and log on.

In addition to this, my desktop wallpaper has gone and in its place in the bottom right corner it says that my copy of Windows is not genuine, with the version number. I got a message saying that it could be counterfeit and I clicked on the validation link, but now the validation has been left for twenty minutes and hasn't worked. What should I do?

I'm running Windows 7, and I have iTunes pinned to the taskbar, but if I open it by clicking the taskbar icon, it doesn't open on the icon, so I have the icon you get to it with, and the running program on my taskbar at the same time. It's a bit cluttering, so can someone tell me what to do about it?

I bought a smartphone that's locked to the Orange network today, and I got a new SIM card with it that my old number had been transferred over to. I've put the SIM in and it doesn't work, an icon that looks like a SIM card with an exclamation mark shows up in the status bar, and I can't call or send or receive texts on it. Is the SIM card just not working, should I buy a new one?

So I want to get a new or refurbished HTC Sensation or Sensation XE, and Ebay and Amazon are the only places that have prices I can afford. I'd get it from a top rated seller or from Amazon itself, should I buy one and are the deals legit? Have you had good experiences with them?

My little brother has a snail in a freshwater tank without a filter, and for a couple of days it hasn't moved, and today I found it lying on it's back, floating just below the surface in it's shell. Is it dead?

Okay so one of my best friends recently told me he was gay, and I was fine with it, we're still mates and there isn't any awkwardness (I'm straight btw). But when I'm speaking to him and he talks about boys he thinks are hot and stuff I feel really awkward. I'm not homophobic or anything, but it does make me feel awkward. Is this normal and okay? It wasn't long ago he came out, so I'm still getting used to it.

My parents took my phone and laptop off me because I did something bad, and I know it was bad and I wish I hadn't done it, but I need my phone so I can talk to my friends. So how can I get it back? I'm not so much bothered about getting my laptop back, I just want my phone, because I know I did something wrong and I should get punished for it, I just really want my phone back.

I'm 13, and I've just picked my options for Year 10 and 11, and I chose Art because I really enjoy it.
