  • Awkward post first date comunication?

To get to the point we had a very nice first meet and arranged a second meet but she couldn't make it (legitimate reason). Just it was our last chance to meet before the xmas.

She did say that she wants to meet again when I'm back after the holidays. It's just I noticed she has been asking me the same questions and I can't help but feel she might be disinterested. She didn't respond to my last fb message last week, which I have posed a question.

Am I being silly by not sending another message or am I right to just give her time and let her reply in her own time?

  • Word to describe a facial expression of someone who looks a little serious or in deep thought?

This has been bugging me, I heard a word that describes this expression years ago but can't think what it is now. Very unique, just thought I'd put this out there for ideas or if anyone else comes up with it!

    Thanks

  • Online dating, have a few first meets coming up, am I doing anything wrong?

Okay so I signed up to an online dating website about two months ago. Initially I had been getting very poor responses but lately I've been chatting to a few women who are very interesting and have a lot to talk about.

Within the next 2 weeks I could be meeting 5 women for a first meet. Just a short meet, a conversation over a cup of coffee and just see from there after. Am I doing anything morally wrong here, by seeing these women in person just to see how compatible we are. I just feel like I'm keeping my options open as we have a lot of mutual interests

  • Abrupt end to conversation online dating, should I just assume no interest?

So I exchanged a 4 messages with a really nice woman on an online dating site. She rated my profile 5/5 stars and I rated her profile two. I sent her a short enough first message and she responded with couple of paragraphs. We had a lot to talk about and had many shared interests and things in common.

I'm very sure I didn't say anything stupid in my last message, it was just going with the flow of the conversation. If she replied I was going to ask her if she wanted to meet. I just feel a little disappointed as I've gotten a lot of meaningless messages/response, I really thought this was going to lead to something other than email tennis.

She's still on the site, because I can see her on the updates section. It's been almost two weeks now, should I just delete our conversation and assume she's not interested? We're both in our mid 20's

  • Why would this person de-friend me 30 minutes after sending me an invite?

I'm on a social site called Badoo and a woman gat talking to me, we're both looking for friends. Anyways she suggests we could chat on facebook sometime so I give her a link to my page and she sends me an invite. I just logged on there and noticed she defriended me? :\

I normally don't put much weight on fb friends but am I the only thing that thinks it's very odd to defriend someone 30 minutes after send a request and adding them? There's nothing offensive at all on my profile, just sports teams I follow and films I like. I just don't get it...

  • How should I respond to this poke on facebook?

I added someone I recognise a few years ago (7 to be precise), we used to bump into each other at a nighclub. there was nothing to it, just chit chat nothing more, there's an age gap. I decided to add her just to see if she recognised me or if I had the right person. She's in a relationship.

Should I just poke her back, or explain why I added her ect?

  • Do you think it's unusual try and replicate a famous person appearance wise ? Is this a common thing?

Lets say you really like something or admire a certain appearance trait that a famous person/celebrity would sport.

This could be their hair style, the clothes they wear, how they do their make up etc.

I do this myself, though it's a famous footballers hairstyle that I really admire and I try to sport.

I'm just wondering how common is this?

  • Am I vain?

I've been on a dating site and I've looked at a girls profile in my area. She seems nice, there isn't too much information on her profile.

The only thing is that she only has a face picture on her profile and she's already wrote on her profile that she is full figured.

I wouldn't like to consider myself as a vain person but I really like curvy women, more so than petite women. As long as someone isn't obese I find it very attractive.

My profile has face and full shot pictures, and personality is very important to me as I'm looking for a long term relationship. So am I being vain?

  • Does it ever depress you when you here something regarding a contract?

Say if you hear a company advertising a contract that is 18 months or three years. Then you think about how old you are if you went through and get them. Then you start to think, how many contracts I can get in my life? Then you start to realise...we don't really have that much time left in life :(

  • Should I or how do I end contact with a pen pal?

I was on an online dating site a few months ago and while I didn't actually meet anyone I had a few people messaging me outside my area. I was looking for new friends, not just dating (I said this on my profile)

Anyways I had this woman message me although not interested romantically, she seemed nice enough to talk to. I left the site and gave a few people my old email, just to stay in touch now and again. I'm happy with the arrangement bar this woman. I've gotten eccentric emails, emails sent at 3 or 4 in the morning, messages composed by her friends asking if this is "something more" and double messages (another message sent a few days after her first message). I'd just like to keep in touch once every couple of months etc

Am I being mean by considering trying to end this correspondence. I know I should have just ignored her message when I was on the dating site. How would one go about kindly ending this correspondence?

  • Which would you pick to study for a year; Cork or Dublin?

I've been offered a place to study for one year but I've a choice between Cork and Dublin, it's the same College/course. I'm finding it very hard to pick one so I've decided to hear your thoughts on this.

Dublin; even though I have a rural background something really tells me that living in our capital and using public transport as opposed to my own would be a great experience.

Cork; a fairly small city I wouldn't have to abandon my car and could possibly bring it with me.

  • Will a vet sedate a cat for a long car journey?

This is something I've been thinking about for a while. I currently live about 5-10 minutes away from the vets and when ever I bring her there she meows non stop and stresses out non stop (though she doesn't make any sound on the way home).

I'll be moving soon to study but I may bring my cat (who is at my parents house) with me if I get a job over there. The only thing is that it's a six hour drive. I haven't mentioned to my vet as such a situation hasn't arisen yet. I should mention my cat is 12/13, indoor cat.

But it got me thinking could/would a vet give you something that would sedate your cat for the six hour journey, or even administer something just before the long journey?

  • Would it bother you if your husband/boyfriend liked smelling your used undergarments?

Let's say that your other half told you that he likes the idea of smelling your used under garments (panties, bra, t-shirt, pants). How would you feel about it?

  • Is your sexual orientation defined by both physical/sexual attraction and emotional attraction?

Lets say if a man is sexually attracted to women and men, but emotionally never/rarely forms a bond with other men but becomes very attached to other women frequently.

I enjoy sexual contact with both men (plus TS/TG) and women, but feel more intimacy towards women (ie kissing/touching/dating/relationships etc)

I have a lot o male friends but never found myself attracted to them.

This is confusing me as I've always thought I was a straight man, but in the last year or so I have had many fantasies involving men. I have had an encounter with another man but there was no kissing involved just a NSA meet.

  • How would you define my sexual orientation? (Bicurious/bisexual etc)?

First of all I should say that I'm very attracted to women. Very strong sexual desire, romantic and emotionally attracted to women. I've been in a few relationships with women.

But I do get very turned on at the thought of giving oral to another man and being penetrated by another man. Though I don't feel any emotional/romantic attraction towards another man, just like the idea of sexually pleasing another man. I don't feel like kissing another guy or penetrating getting oral from him, but get turned on by looking at penises. I also like TS as well.

I had a sexual encounter with a bisexual couple before and enjoyed it very much, but I'm not very sure what it would have been like with just a guy on guy encounter. This was my first time giving oral to another guy. I liked doing it and it was interesting with his girlfriend involved.

This is an honest account that I've just given, I don't think I'm fooling myself. The bottom line is I don't like the idea of kissing another guy or having a romantic encounter, but just a NSA encounter.

So is there any definition on this, am I the only one who feels like this? Or could it be that I'm just going through an experimenting phase. I don't have any issue with other peoples sexual orientation what so ever

    Thank you for reading this

  • Not being able to "preform" sexually on one night stand, but better in a relationship?

I've noticed over the years that the occasional one night stand (5 one night stands so far) have been awkward, that I get an erection fast but loose it soon, then for it to get hard again and get close to orgasm very soon.

But if I've been dating a woman a couple of times, have a good connection with her and we have entered a relationship the sex is so much better. No problems like I've mentioned above, I last a lot longer she orgasms even before me and we have more communication. I should mention that I'm looking for a long term relationship.

I tried having a one night stand with someone I meet on a night out and the same thing happened again. I'm wondering how normal is this, a guy that can't perform sexually well on a one night stand but has no issue with someone they're in a relationship with. Why do I preform so bad during one night stands? I won't have another one because I feel bad after it.

    Thanks

  • Ethically speaking, is there anything wrong with being involved in a threesome?

    I've two questions

Lets say if a couple are looking for a guy to have a threesome and everything is consensual with boundaries respected, is there anything wrong with this? The guy entering the threesome is single.

Another angle is, say this happens a few times. Lets say the guy involved enters a relationship with another woman and no longer partakes in threesomes or doesn't want his new girlfriend involved in threesomes/open relationships. Is this double standards?

  • Which is a better industry to work in; Pharmaceutical or Information Technology/Computing?

Or for a better word, by and large which of these two industries have better long term career prospects. Both are pretty strong in recessionary times

  • Emigrating but don't feel like telling people I'm going?

I'm emigrating to another neighboring country to study a masters then apply for work there afterwards.

I have a small circle of friends and some acquaintances who I used to be close with but we are drifting away and have just become "beer buddies" more than anything else. These guys live in my hometown and I haven't been in contact with them for awhile now as a few made unfounded negative remarks about my future plans, remarks along the lines of why am I spending my life in college, being unemployed etc. More than a joke I felt. They are stuck at home with low paying jobs and don't like hearing about people emigrating, so I think this is the reason for the negative remarks. It's sad as we used to be close friends, but I just feel our conversations have run dry, we just talk about other people nothing very interesting just small talk.

My close friends and family have been very supportive about my plans and understand my circumstances as to why I have to do this.. There's a lot riding on this, some of my concerns are very real and have caused a few sleepless nights. I just don't want to be in contact with negative people right now.

By not telling them about my departure, would I be seen as being mean/rude

  • Should I keep my online dating profile open?

I'm 25 and I'm moving to another country in a couple of months. I opened an online dating profile (no fee's) about 6 months ago but I only have a few penpals really (which I'm happy to have) as there aren't that much matches in my area. I'm looking to make friends or long term dating, not looking for a hook up. So my profile as it stands doesn't make sense in that I'm looking for something meaningful but I'm only here for a month or two.

Should I just disable my account until I make the move, just keep it open or change the location to where I'm moving to in advance?

This is a non issue, I know, but would like some feedback.
