my rebuild 92 chevy silverado v8 started a rod knock that I quickly put a remote starter switch under the hood so I could get the oil up in the morning before fireing it up, I've been using 10/40 but now I want to go to 40 wt I live in semi tropic it's going to start to get hot and humid late may would this be ok? I rebuild it about 7yrs ago, it only knocks when I start the engine, can I replace the rod bearings only? I don't want to rebuild it again, and it starting knocking a few days ago only when I start the engine! thank you in advance!
