File I can't remove?
I was looking for picture of something on google.
I saved a couple, but now I also have 2 unknown files (the file types/names are .LOG1 & .LOG2).
1 (.LOG1) has memory size, the other doesn't.
I've tried to delete them and move them to the recycle bin, but it says they are connected to a file which is open (but I have nothing else opened).
How do I get rid of them without having to install something else?
3 AnswersOther - Computers9 years agoDid I do the right thing?
Ok, so a few days ago I was invited to a housewarming by someone I work with. She insinuated I'd be the only guy there by saying it's turned into a "ladies night" (I presume the others there will be the other women we work with and the guys we work with can't make it), so I've taken a few days to think about it before replying. Eventually I was swayed and I've told her I'll be there. Now I'm not sure that was the right answer.
Did I make the right decision?
1 AnswerFriends9 years agoShould I go to Party?
Ok, so I have been invited to a friend/work colleague's house warming and I don't know whether to go.
You see she has invited me (and i presume everyone from work) to go. However; in her invite it sounds like the other guys aren't going (there is only 3 including me) because she refereed to it turning into a 'ladies night' (We work in a small, fairly tight group (of less that 12) and the women are fairly tight within the group itself.)
Don't get me wrong it sounds like a dream come true: Me (on my own) and half a dozen women (though some do have partners), not to mention i do have a tendency to be a show stealing, attention seeking son of gun, but i'm thinking I will inadvertently wind up being the token man or take that role usually taken by the stereotypical gay guy if i want to get in on any conversations. I have been in a similar situation before with some of these on a night out and I did feel a bit like I was crashing.
For the reasons given I'm not sure whether to go, but also because I am in love with the person whose housewarming it is and have been for the last 18 months, but because we work together I haven't done anything.
If I don't go, I do intend to send some sort of gift (like flowers etc).
Should I go?

It's an easy way to create space for a shot when the opposition has defence on lock down and you have no one to pass to.
4 AnswersBasketball9 years agoDo you need to get clearance to use other people's quotations?
I'm writing a novel and I'm using quotes from other people, I'm referencing them along with the quote in the novel, but if it were to be published would i need to get clearance for the quote to stay in.
1 AnswerQuotations9 years agoHow should I approach revealing a truth to a friend?
In a couple of weeks, I'm going out with a friend (lets call her 'A') from work to the theatre (not as classy if you knew what we were going to see). However; before I continue I should point out I'm male, she's female and it is NOT a date!!!
Anyway, we are going for a drink before the show because doing such a thing is what I'm used to doing. When we are chatting over a drink or two, I have thought about confiding in her (A) that I have feelings for one of the other women at work (Let's call her 'B')?
I have really liked this women (B) from work for over a year and she is someone we (me and the friend (A) from work I'm going to the theatre with) are both friends with. I have not asked her (B) out yet because I made a pact with myself not to whilst we are working together (I am looking for a new job. Not so I can ask her out, but because I have to) so not to make things complicated.
I'm sure many will think it's a bad idea, but I feel the time has come where I need to confide in someone and possibly someone who knows us both as they should have a better idea of my situation. Plus she's a friend (A) and aren't you suppose to share things with friends? I need to relieve some of this pressure of emotion that has built up from keeping quiet for over a year (almost 18months). I don't get many chances like this as the office we work in is small and busy (6-8 people in at it's busiest) , plus my work pattern means i only work a couple of days a week, so I miss seeing some people for weeks at a time (especially who (A) I'm going to the theatre with) and though we are all good friends, work (for some) and our external interests prevent us from socialising much away from work.
If I do get the opportunity, how do I bring it into the conversation? I have found out she's (A) on holiday just before we go, could that be a way in?
After reading all that I should summarize:
The person I am going to the theatre (A) with, I am NOT into her!!! I AM into a work colleague (B) who we both (me & A) are friends with. And I am asking how I can confide in her (A) that I like our friend and work colleague (B).

In a few weeks I'm going out with a friend from work to the theatre (not as classy if you knew what we were going to see). But before I continue I should point out I'm male, she's female and it isn't a date!!! We would not be right together AT ALL!!! We'd either cancel the other out or we'd eventually look for ways to bump the other off! lol
Anyway, I'll continue... I've been meaning to ask her if she wants to go for a drink or a bite to eat before or after the show because doing such a thing is what I'm used to doing.
If we do go for eat/drink (and to the point of the question) should I confide in her that I have feelings for another women at work?

Also, If I do. How do I approach it?

Is there something i'm missing or can talk to to get this sorted?
2 AnswersOther - Internet9 years agoMe Scorpio, Her Taurus and I'm torn?
Since the start of the year I have been getting into reading horoscopes.
I am a Scorpion and from everything i have read I am a archetypal Scorpio. The descriptions are bang on.
There is a Girl I like she is a Taurus, a pretty typical on too.
I'm torn because I work with her.
I have read that a Scorpio/Taurus couple work so well together and my relationship (friendship) with her alludes to that being right. I am now as close I have ever been to revealing my feelings to her. The issue that has always held me back is that we work together.
Obviously I don't know her feelings, but everything I do know suggests or makes me feel like I'm on the edge of something great and questions importance I have been putting on the fact we work together.
What should I do, Is there something coming up that will help me decide.
1 AnswerHoroscopes9 years agoShould I...(do this)?
...put a kiss ('x') at the end of a birthday message.
I really 'like' someone from my workplace we are also friends. Would this small gesture be the right way to hint and test the water with her or would the better thing to do just be to wish her happy birthday.
This message won't be in a card, by the way (i have other non B-day things to say too). Plus I won't see her on her birthday for various reasons.
At the place i work we all have a tight group bond, but we don't really do birthday cards.

1 AnswerFriends9 years agoWhat is known about the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse?
When you look for information online it seems like it is the one subject that isn't cover by the vast thing called the World Wide Web. Pages I have found only really explain where they are referred to in the Bible and what each Horsemen represents, but that's it.
I want to know things like:
What is their story (past and future)?
Where are they from?
What do they want?
I'm looking to know the bigger picture about the 4 Horsemen.
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoWould this be appropriate?
Today I was working in a situation with someone who I work with who I have feelings for. It was a cramped situation and after having an accident a few years back, and though she fully recovered she, isn't as physically strong as she used to be. She mentioned that she is going to likely to ache tomorrow.
As I really like her I am secretly concerned for her well-being. Would it be appropriate or inappropriate to send a text message asking her how she's feeling?
If you think I could/should can you give me examples of what would be ok to say so that she doesn't think i'm acting as some weirdo asking her something personal.

5 AnswersEtiquette9 years agoWas WM 28 end of one era and RAW was the start of a new Era?
Firstly, I am not making any direct puns to HHH vs Taker 'End of an Era' HIAC match.
Over the space of 48 hours WWE seemed to have turned a corner towards something 'new'.
With Cena losing, John Laurinatis gaining GM control of RAW and Smackdown and Taker vs HHH at Wrestlemania
and Rock staying around for another year (hinting at a possible title tilt), Lord (A-Train) Tensai debuting and Brock Lesnar returning on RAW.
Has WWE started a new era or will what seemed like a new dawn end up being the same as before.
5 AnswersWrestling9 years agoShould I put references on my CV or should I them when they are requested?
I know you can do either and I think I was once told to leave them off.
I just wonder if employers are more willing to interview those who provide the information instead of those they have to chase.
