  • Can I change the curve on a composite stick?

I have a friend that has some new composite hockey sticks I might buy, problem is the blade is not to my liking, it's more like a Coffey curve. I can get the stick for short money, but I want to know that if I get it that I can heat up the blade and adjust the curve to my liking without destroying the stick or making it unusable.

  • how long will it take to train a horse for dressage/jumping?

I plan to get my horse started next week, he is 12, a former racehorse, but very smart and level headed. The trainer I have chosen told me my horse would be needing 3-4 days of training per week and 5 days per week in the beginning. I know nothing of what is going to be happening or even what questions I should be asking. The trainer is more than qualified and states that perhaps in a few months we might aim for a little beginner show. Our goal is to ultimatley sell the horse as a dressage or jumper or both. I guess the horse will dictate on many of my questions as I do understand that everyhorse is different.

  • probate court - notice of assignment?

i have sole 100% legal and physical custody of my 9 yr old son. its been about 3 years now since, the mom prooved herself to be un fit and the court and DSS agreed that my son should be raised by me (a single dad, never married).

i can't say i have much knowledge of where or what the mom is been up to these days, but recently i recieved a letter from the court alerting me of a trial date at the end of the month, it does state that it is a 10 minute, uncontested trial. there is steps i could take in regards to contesting this or not. what is my appraoch to this date in court. my son has been hurt way too many times by his mom and is very happy and content in his secure life, he's at an age where playing all day long, doing well in school and sleeping are key components of his daily routine. i feel arrangements to complicate is socially growing life is not in his best interest. his mom has a serious history of drugs and has even overdosed in his presense for starters. perhaps shes feeling she wants to be involved with him, but she has hurt him so and more than one time. she has also swindled my mom for $40k via forged checks from bank account. i dont trust her, like her, but i do despise her and dont want her near my home, on my phone or in my sight. yes i know its my kids mom, but she has chosen drugs over him time after time. not looking to put myself into a position where she can try discrediting me, or hurting my son again and again. she is the type that would chase you down the street just to tell you a lie.

i hope the courts just dont play into this its his mom bullshit and want to pull this reunite crap, been there done that already.

  • why don't movie theatres have a clock?

knowing that my cell phone will be better left in the car while i tend a flick, i now enter the theatre lobby and veiw the multitute of shows and starting times. okay what time is it, there is never a clock to tell you what time it is, yeah i know there will be previews, but i got to stand in line for popcorn, go to the bathroom, and get tickets. knowing the current time of day, i think is critical infromation to arriving patrons.

  • whats the best race senario for Z ans RA?

the odds of these two finishing in a dead heat is infinity to one and with that understood there will be a loser andthere will be EXCUSES, ie the track condition and or surface, the jockey moved to soon or not soon enough, what ever! the match race would certainly favor a speedy front runner as most match races have turned out is racing history, this benifits RA. on the other hand a full feild would seem fair, but either horse can get bothered, blocked, headed, thus real chances compromised.

my question is what would be the best way for theses two freaks to get it on, and with limited excuses. a series? 1 sprint, 1 dist & 1 grass? keep them head and head and let them go in company from the 1/2 mile pole? i can already hear the EXCUSES when all is said and done and almost hope it never happens, but want it to be fair for both is and when it does. what do you suggest?

  • my horse has a tick, help.?

tonight i was vaccuuming my horse as i sometimes do when the mud he rolls in has dried, less choking on dust for me... anyways as you can figure as i was rubbing in the area of the side of his belly i felt something, at first i thought it was just some dirt hung up in his long growing coat and then my next pass by it i felt it explode/pop. i did not see it, nor was there any bood on my fingers. i did clip the hair in the area and there certainly is a bite, its round about a 1/8th inch in dia. he knows something is up in that area as well. i dowsed it with peroxide and i am wondering what is my next step. is there part of the tick still in him? can i draw it out? should i be overly concerned?
