  • What snowboard size do I need?

I purchased a Burton clash 2013 151 cm snowboard online and it just came in. It is up to my chin, maybe a cm over my chin (without boots/shoes on). I am just about 5'8" and weigh about 130 lbs. I never snowboarded before, but I skate. Many websites say i need 145-155, so i went with something in between, but i am not sure if it's too big now. I want to mainly do freestyle (after I learned to ride), so the websites say should go with a smaller board such as a 145. I don't want to end up with the board being too big, and a hard time riding, jumping, etc. like last season with skis.

SO is it WORTH returning the board and searching for and buying a new smaller board?

Additional question: Would a size M Burton custom 2014 binding work with a pair of size 8 Burton Moto 2014 boots? (smalll bindings go to size 8 boots, and medium bindings start from size 8, plus the Burton Moto boot has size reduction feature so the outside would be 7) The 151 clash recommends only medium bindings.

SO what do you think? Thanks for the help!

  • What snowboard equipment should I buy?

So I want to get into snowboarding this winter season. I never snowboarded, but I skateboard. I want to get into riding freestyle as soon as I learn the basics. I am 5'8'", and weigh 130 lb. I found a few snowboards that I think I should buy on evo.com. The Burton Clash 2013 with Burton freestyle bindings 2013 package. This package looks like its good for beginners and good for progression. Plus the price seems good. I think i should get the 151 cm board for park riding. I also found the Burton Custom Flying V 2013 snowboard, Its top rated, but its more expensive, and I don't know if it will be easy to ride/easy to progress. I have no idea what boots i need though. I would need a size 7.5 to 8 boot (black preferably).

So what do you think i need? thanks for the help!

  • High School Classes for Engineering Help?

I am a sophomore right now and making a schedule for next year. So right now I am stuck on whether or not I should take MC chemistry (a college course) my junior year. I have all honors classes and also chemistry honors this year. Next year I will be taking physics honors and trigonometry honors. I want to go into engineering or something with science. (electrical, aerospace, chemical, or astronomy so far) I checked out the recommended high school classes to take for an engineering college including MIT, and they said high school bio, chem, physics, and calculus. So is it really worth taking MC chemistry junior year, and possibly lowering my GPA? The teacher doesn't teach much (I had her this year) so that's another reason I don't know to take it. What are the benefits of taking MC chem junior year instead of senior year? I come home late from practice, so I feel like I won't have time for another hard class, I want to concentrate on the other subjects and get a high GPA, since that's important. So my other options are MC humanities or MC accounting? I will probably take MC Chem or MC physics my senior year if not this year, as well as calculus. So what should I do? And why are some people going saying it is better to take MC chem junior year, even though the best colleges say to just take normal classes?

  • Does the type of computer effect video quality and editing?

So I have a TOSHIBA Satellite L745. I use a GoPro Hero 2 to film. I use cineform to put clips on my PC. The footage just doesn't look as good as others raw clips. So is it the case of color grading to fix the quality, or is my PC effecting the quality. By the way, should I record in 1080p 30fps, or 720p 60fps. I record in 720p mostly.

    My gopro youtube videos: http://www.youtube.com/user/Zeric360?feature=mhee

My video quality doesn't seem good at all, what do you think? Thanks!

  • GoPro Hero 2 Stops Recording?

So a couple weeks ago I went skiing with my gopro, and started recording. After about 7 seconds the video stops recording. I press the record button again, and the same thing happens. After the 3rd time, the camera worked fine, and i recorded 10 minute clips the whole day. Yesterday morning I was going to take my gopro on the mountain, but i tested it out in the morning, and the same thing happened. But this time after the video stopped recording, it said "slow speed card." I have a sandisk ultra 16gb 30MB/s class 6 memory card. the night before I also updated my camera using cineform studio. So what's wrong? Thanks.

  • What longboard should I buy?

So my friend got an original longboard apex 40 diamond drop for Christmas, and I kind of want one too. I have been skating for 3 years now and can't seem to ever land a kickflip, so why not try longboarding. I originally told my friend about the apex 40 diamond drop, but its just way to expensive for a complete. I was thinking of buying the freeride 41 because its cheaper. I want to bomb hills, go fast, and do slides. I am 5' 8" and 130 lb. I like the original longboards, but dont want to spend soo much money. Maybe around $200 for the whole complete board. I might also receive a $30 gift card to zumiez or CCS, how are the longboards there? What's so special about the diamond drop compared to others. So please tell me what longboard will be good for me. Please include the wheels, trucks, bearings, etc. that will go good with the longboard. A complete longboard would be perfect. THANKS!

  • Which Skis should i buy?

So I want to get into park/freestyle skiing and i have a couple options on what to choose. I used to ski when i was younger and got down the black diamond slope 1 time. I am 16 years old, 171 cm tall (like 5'7", and about 125 - 130 lb. I found a bunch of deals on evo.com and ski.com, on evo found k2 recoil skis 2012 ($275), Nordica Hot Rod 6.5 Ski Boots 2012 ($140), and Marker 12.0 Free Ski Bindings (90mm Brake) 2010 ($123). Or should i go with Salomon Z 11 Wide Brake Ski Bindings 2012 ($99) from skis.com. Will 90mm bindings fit for the skis? Should I go with 164 cm skis or 169 cm skis? I am growing really fast. Everything especially the skis are really good prices. My uncle in Poland found used rossignol s2 park 09/10 skis (170cm) with bindings. He said he will sell me them for about $150 plus shipping, so lets say about $200 for the used skis and bindings. What do you think i should buy? Or tell me if there are any better skis/deals that would fit me? I think i should but the k2 skis, but my chose is a lot more expensive.

  • What's wrong with me and skateboarding?

So I've been skateboarding for about 2 years now and i love it, but i keep picking up bad habits. The only trick i can do perfectly with out a problem is a frontside 180. I have been trying kickflips for so so long and can't land a single one. So far trying kickflips for over a year and still, nothing. I land them with my back foot and front foot goes straight to the ground, no matter how high i jump or flick. If i flick up then the board won't spin, etc. I tried every trick tip out there, and btw I'm not scared.

Secondly my ollie usually turns frontside, I am regular stance. Also this usually happens when i try to ollie higher. Nothing seems to work. This bothers me especially when I ollie off stairs because i end up landing 90 degrees frontside.

All this is pissing me off and i feel like i can't get anything. I'd really do anything to solve these 2 problems.

    PLEASE HELP!
