My English teacher assigned us a book to read, so of course I started reading it. I really like the book. It's a good book, but I'm afraid when we start "discussing" it in class I'll start to hate it. Does anyone have any ideas other than ignore what people say during the "discussion"?

Sometimes I feel obliged to go to a social event. Sometimes I want to go a little, but I just really want to stay at home all the time. This is harder to explain without a specific example, but if I give a specific example I'll get a specific answer and I would kind of like an answer that can apply to every social situation. So how about I try again: I don't want to miss any opportunities, but I really do just want to stay home. How do I decide?

Writing DBQ's is new to me, and I'm having a lot of difficulty with it because I just can't focus. I've looked up how to focus on stuff, but this is harder. It's just so boring. I think one day I'll have some sort of magnificent breakthrough and I'll never have trouble with DBQ's again, but right now I'm stuck. Maybe I should start timing myself. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem and how you've dealt with it. What sort of mindset should I get into when I try to write a DBQ? Any brilliant tips? Tips in general? Anything?

I'm very curious what a non-local's opinion of Memphis is. Memphis, TN, not Memphis, Egypt. What do you think of when you think of Memphis? Do you think of Memphis at all? Has anyone gone to Memphis as a tourist (not on a business trip)?

I have curly hair and it's really frizzy, but I don't like the frizz... tips? It'd be really helpful if these tips weren't some special product I'd have to buy... I'm kind of broke-ish...

I don't want to like him because everyone says he's a bad person, but I seem to be able to only see his good qualities. Don't say that I can only see the good qualities in everyone because that is most definitely not the case. I know I sound cliché and whatnot, but what can I do to stop myself from thinking I have feelings for him?
