What is your opinion of Memphis?
I'm very curious what a non-local's opinion of Memphis is. Memphis, TN, not Memphis, Egypt. What do you think of when you think of Memphis? Do you think of Memphis at all? Has anyone gone to Memphis as a tourist (not on a business trip)?

I went to Memphis on a school trip when I was in school. I also live near it until I move to new York in a month. Anyway I really have a strong dislike for Memphis. My news station is based from Memphis. I just don't enjoy being there or hearing about it

I have visited Memphis but don't find any great reason to go back. The traffic is horrible, the crime rate is high, it is hot and humid, and doesn't have much to draw me back. A friend is delighted that her family is moving away from the Memphis area soon.
