  • Does anyone know what this weird diarrhea is and how to get rid of it?

For the past three days I have been having this weird diarrhea problem which I am even hesitant to call "diarrhea". Typically that is soft brown poop, but this isn't even that. The food that I've been taking in is literally coming out the same way it looked as when I chewed it and swallowed it. You'd be able to see what I've been eating just by looking in the toilet. Just yesterday alone I went to the bathroom with this problem nine times that day. Does anyone know what is going on and if there's anything I should take to help me get better? Other than this I feel fine. I don't feel sick or anything, other than some typical diarrhea-type cramps. This is just weird. I've never had this problem before.

  • US Government income?

Is there a specific web link that shows the US government's income since WWII-ish? I tried looking for it on irs.org but can't seem to find it.

  • Who's side is Obama on?

Obama declared that he has no problems with Iran, the anti-American country with an anti-american leader, having a nuclear power plant... yet he is persistent on getting America away from nuclear energy and onto "green" energy. He is okay with them having the ability to build nuclear weapons... but he's striving to start getting rid of Americas nuclear weapons. He once claimed that America is no longer a Christian nation... and now he has claimed that it is a Muslim nation. He claims that documents that have been stamped "CLASSIFIED", which have information on where we make our nuclear weapons, are no longer considered classified... yet this doesn't explain why it is necessary to post it on the Internet for ALL to see and know. He talks about spreading the wealth to the poor who need it... but his policies are only bringing the rich down to where everyone will be poor. I don't know where Obama's intentions are, but I know that he's not acting for and in behalf of the American people.

  • Is Obama looking to reform the US government in similitude of the Swedish government?

I have a friend who was living in Sweden for a couple of years that just got back. Apparently in Sweden there are no poor whatsoever. No bums on the street. No poverty at all. In fact, if you move out of your parents home once you turn 18, then the government will pay for your housing. It will also pay your utilities and food. Water is free for everyone, so you can take 1 hour long showers if you want to. In addition, you don't even have to pay to go to college. In fact, they pay you to go to college. If you ask me, this sounds great!

However, it seems like they've made some sacrifices to have this. There are hundreds of thousands of kids who move out of their house living on their own for free that they just stay inside all day playing video games. They have no job or education. They don't want a job or education because they are "content" where they are. All their needs and wants are met, so what would be the purpose of getting a job? There's no motivation. I guess this explains why the government is paying them to go to college. The only thing the whole nation does for fun is go out and get drunk 365 days out of the year.

If we keep turning to the government to baby us, is this how we're going to end up? If we keep going to the government to solve our problems, aren't we going to destroy our pursuit of happiness because we'll be giving that pursuit to someone else? Have we become so materialistic that we've forgotten that it is not the things that make us happy, rather it is the pursuit we take to earn those things? Is our nation beginning to encourage laziness and punish those who work hard for what they've earned? I think so. What do you think?

  • Are gays and others who are against Prop 8 being intolerant?

    http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?pageId=8022...

It seems to me that gays and their supporters are totalitarian. They demand religious people to accept their views, but are unwilling to accept religious peoples' views. Isn't that considered as hypocritical since they claim to be receiving the same treatment? From what I've been witnessing, their view is, "It's my way or the highway." If the majority doesn't agree with them, they spread threats and anger, much of which can be found online, even here on Y!A. It went on during the elections and got a lot bigger once Prop 8 passed. Had the religious groups done the same thing to the gays, just imagine how strongly they would have been labeled as intolerant. Are there a lot of gays being intolerant? In fact, aren't they being more intolerant than religions? (That is, if you viewed the religions' fight for their freedom of speech and freedom of religion, which most assuredly would have been limited if same-sex marriage were ever allowed in the future, as intolerant). If they were the majority, would they be totalitarian? Would we lose our current Democracy?

Don't get me wrong. Not all gays are like this. There seems to be a big amount, though, that is appearing violent.

  • A good Christian joke?

Jesus said, Whom do men say that I am?

And his disciples answered and said, Some say you are John the Baptist returned from the dead; others say Elias, or other of the old prophets.

And Jesus answered and said, But whom do you say that I am?

Peter answered and said, "Thou art the Logos, existing in the Father as His rationality and then, by an act of His will, being generated, in consideration of the various functions by which God is related to his creation, but only on the fact that Scripture speaks of a Father, and a Son, and a Holy Spirit, each member of the Trinity being coequal with every other member, and each acting inseparably with and interpenetrating every other member, with only an economic subordination within God, but causing no division which would make the substance no longer simple."

    And Jesus answering, said, "What?"

(Based off of Peter's actual testimony in Matthew 16:13-17)

  • Jehovah's Witnesses... is there a contradiction here?

I understand that you believe that when a person dies, he simply stops existing. No spirit anywhere... nothing. I also understand that Christ was the first-fruits of them that were resurrected (1 Cor. 15:20-22). If I remember correctly, you also believe that Moses died... that his life did reach an end. With that said, how did Moses manage to appear to Christ on the Mount of Transfiguration if he was dead but not yet resurrected?

  • Morals: who, what, where, why?

The last question I asked, though I hardly got any direct answers, helped me realize that there are many people out there who consider pre-marital sex to be a moral practice. They believe that everyone has different morals. I'm assuming that that means that one isn't better or "higher" on a moral scale than the others. Rather, they're just DIFFERENT morals. With that said, does that mean that other topics, such as viewing pornography, would be considered a moral practice as well, depending on the morals of the person? How about Abortion, or torturing random people you find on the street, or killing them? Could that be a moral practice for some people depending on the morals they set for themselves? Most might say not because it effects others, but so does everything else I've mentioned so far. Most might say not also because it's against the law, which leads me to ask, who sets the norms? Does the country in which a person lives set the norms? If it is illegal to get an abortion and a girl gets an abortion, did she then do something immoral because the government says so, or is it something more than that? What if it's not illegal and she gets an abortion? Is it still immoral, or is it only immoral at that point if it goes past her personal ethical views that she holds? I want you guys to really think deep about this. Have we ever changed our morals to satisfy our own selfish pleasures? Are the norms inherently the same for all human beings, which change throughout a persons life, if at all, to fit his/her self-interested wants? I'm eager to hear your views.

  • Sex before marriage... now let's use a little bit of reason here?

Too often have I heard people here on Y!A say that it's important to have sex before marriage to find who you're compatible with, but sexual compatibility doesn't exist since all are susceptible to change in this area of their life. I've also heard that it's important to have sex before marriage so that once you find that that person is "compatible" with you, you're wedding night is "magical" and romantic, but what would make it any more "magical" than when you slept with him/her for the first time, or second time, or third time, etc? Is it just because there was a party with the girl wearing white dress this time? I think the couple would be more desensitized of it by then, therefor experiencing less "magic" than what they initially had.

I have yet to see an acceptable reason for pre-marital sex. So I ask... why? Why have pre-marital sex as opposed to waiting till marriage? What do you get out of it, and was it worth giving up morality and virtue to receive it?

  • Anti-mormons, can you relate to this Book of Mormon character's standpoint?

"I do not teach the foolish traditions of your fathers, and... I do not teach this people to bind themselves down under the foolish ordinances and performances which are laid down by ancient priests, to usurp power and authority over them, to keep them in ignorance, that they may not lift up their heads, but be brought down according to thy words. Ye say that this people is a free people. Behold, I say they are in bondage. Ye say that those ancient prophecies are true. Behold, I say that ye do not know that they are true... And ye also say that Christ shall come. But behold, I say that ye do not know that there shall be a Christ. And ye say also that he shall be slain for the sins of the world— And thus ye lead away this people after the foolish traditions of your fathers, and according to your own desires; and ye keep them down, even as it were in bondage, that ye may glut yourselves with the labors of their hands, that they durst not look up with boldness, and that they durst not

  • Mormons...?

Why can't I post the Church website on R&S? Not the www.lds.org website, but the other one with the testimonies on videos and the basic doctrines of the Church. When I ask a question with the website typed on it, it is deleted almost immediately (which is why I'm not typing it directly on here) and I receive a warning in my e-mail from the Yahoo! Answers people. When I answer a question with the website, I get this response: "Sorry, Unable to process request at this time -- error 999."

Any other website works, but they're not letting me post this one website. Is it just me? Maybe it's my computer? Can you post it?

  • Cooking pasta with wine...?

When do you use the wine? Do you cook the meat in it or do you add it after you mix the red sauce with the meat? If you cook the meat in it, do you drain it afterwards before putting in the red sauce or do you keep it in there? Keep in mind that I want all of the alcohol to be cooked and gone, so is there a certain length of time I need it to sizzle before or during the cooking process?

  • Mormons going to Hell?

You know, I hear quite often someone saying that Mormons are going down a path leading down to destruction, or that we are/will be damned, or that we're leading people astray. Don't such things usually cause unhappiness or lack of peace? I'm not going to lie, I'm way happy living the Gospel of Jesus Christ as it has been restored in these latter days. Joy comes from God, doesn't it?... from living His standards? Unhappiness and misery comes from Satan, though he may try to trick us by packaging it in a box that boldly states "PLEASURE". I don't think it's possible to be happy when going down a path of destruction or when being damned. It's not possible to have true joy when following Satan. It just can't happen. It's contradictory. What are your thoughts?

  • Ex-Mormons... can you relate to this?

"Now I am going to say something that maybe I could not prove, but I believe is true, that we have a great many of this Church who have never received a manifestation through the Holy Ghost. Why? Because they have not made their lives conform to the truth. And the Holy Ghost will not dwell in unclean tabernacles or disobedient tabernacles. The Holy Ghost will not dwell with that person who is unwilling to obey and keep the commandments of God or who violates those commandments willfully. In such a soul the spirit of the Holy Ghost cannot enter. That great gift comes to us only through humility and faith and obedience. Therefore, a great many members of the Church do not have that guidance. Then some cunning, crafty individual will come along teaching that which is not true, and without guidance which is promised to us though our faithfulness, people are unable to discern and are led astray. It depends on our faithfulness and our obedience to the commandments of the Lord if we have the

  • Question for Catholics - about work for the dead?

When I was in the St. Paul's Basilica in Rome there were forms at the front that one could fill out so that the Catholic church would be able to do a mass on behalf of one's deceased loved one. Tell me what you know about this... the belief behind it, the doctrine, ect.
