What can I use to film 2.5hrs of theatre?
Okay, I know this is awful of me, but... I've never done it before. There is a specific theatre event I *need* to film. It is a live production that is going to be aired in a movie theatre, so I will be trying to film it from there. I have no idea how many people will be in attendance, but....... I *really* just want to figure out what I could use that I could just rest on my knee or something (covering up the screen, of course, as not to bother anyone else around) so that I could get at least a decent version of the production on film for posterity (since it's a limited production and there will otherwise be no video of it)!
ANYways... I'd actually typically be the kind of person to roll my eyes at this type of a post, but... I have my reasons.
I guess the question is: what can I use to film this, preferably short of buying a camcorder. I have an iPhone 4S, but from what I've seen online, it'd take about 25G to film 2.5hrs and my iphone is 16G total (of which, about half is available). I also have a Panasonic Lumix, but the max for each individual movie is about 8min (and I don't want to just keep watching it and hitting record every 8min).
Ugh. ANY assistance in this matter would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks.
1 AnswerMovies7 years agoHow long does it take to get Vitamin D levels back up...?
My Vitamin D level came back at 21, so my doc ordered me to start on 2000u/day to get it back up. I'm just wondering how long it will take to get back up to normal limits (days, weeks, months...?), as I'm pretty sure it's the reason I've been feeling so lousy lately.
Thanks!
1 AnswerOther - Health8 years agoWhat are some good "educational" DVDs for rebellious teens?
I work as a nurse on a detox unit for teens and I am looking for some new movies to show our kids. They can be strictly educational (i.e. a medical/chemical/disease informational DVD) or it can be a "cautionary tale", such as a video about a rebellious teen or a Lifetime-type video about alcohol/drug use. ((I hope that makes sense.)) It would only be shown for one hour on Sunday evenings, but I'm just looking for more options.
In case it helps, we currently use videos such as "Crashed" (a real-life video about teens in DUI crashes put out by MADD), "Girl, Positive" (a Lifetime video about a teen with HIV), and a few Discovery Health videos about different diseases/etc. I'm hoping to find something that will teach the patients, but also keep them "entertained" so that they actually watch the video (and not dread it).
Thanks!!
2 AnswersAdolescent8 years agoHow can I fix the drywall in my basement...?
When I bought my house a few years ago, there were just two rooms with wallpaper, so I figured it'd be easy enough to just remove the wallpaper and slap up some paint. WRONG. The original owners had the bright idea of applying wallpaper DIRECTLY to the drywall, so when I try to remove the wallpaper, it takes the first layer(s) of drywall paper with it, leaving gouges in the wall.
My thought to fix it would be just to mud over the wallpaper, then paint, but I'm not sure if that'd work. Can anyone offer any tips/pointers/bright ideas...?? The wallpaper will NOT come down (no matter what I've tried), but it's hideous and I want it GONE.

3 AnswersDo It Yourself (DIY)8 years agoCan a CT show the reason for back pain -OR- does it have to be an MRI?
I know an MRI is the standard for seeking out the reason for back pain, BUT would a CT be able to do the same? I am going to see my doc tomorrow for a referral to a pain clinic and I am sure they'll want to do an MRI, but I have a pacer, so I can't. I know the MRI shows things in greater detail, but would they do a CT instead, or...? I do have scoliosis, but the pain has gotten much worse and I'm REALLY hoping they'll be able to figure it out (without an MRI).
3 AnswersPain & Pain Management8 years agoCan you watch your own movies on the Kindle Fire?
I have a bunch of digital movies (mostly mp4, but some .avi) on my hard drive and was looking to purchase a tablet to watch some on when I travel. I was just wondering if the Kindle Fire allows for that type of viewing? Or only certain (types of) movies...? I don't have a tablet at the moment, so I'm not sure how customizable they are (outside of just downloading apps).
Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!!
6 AnswersOther - Hardware8 years agoCan antibiotics change your stools...?
It might be a little gross, but.... I've been taking Erythromycin (250mg TID) for about the past six weeks and EVERY stool I have is just like little rabbit pellets (type I stool). It's a bit uncomfortable and I'm just wondering if the antibiotics could be the cause (for killing off the healthy flora) or if it's more likely something else...?
Has anyone else had a similar experience (or know anything about it)...??
Thanks!
1 AnswerOther - Health8 years agoWhat's a good tattoo parlor in NYC?
I'm going to NYC in February and I am planning on getting a simple tattoo (stars on my foot). I already have a few tatts, but always want to make sure they're done at a highly reputable parlor. Not being from NYC, I wanted to see if I could get a few suggestions from the people of the interwebs.
Thanks!!
2 AnswersNew York City9 years agoCan anyone help me with Facebook error 2032 -- I can't upload pics!?
I run a facebook page for a musician and -just yesterday- I tried to upload a photo and got the "error 2032" (which is "Max number of upload retries exceeded").
I'm using a Mac and already tried wiping the cache and checked the cookies... tried uploading a different file and even from a different folder... actually tried it on three different browsers (firefox, chrome & even safari).... but the only thing that works is uploading via my phone, which is QUITE a pain!! There's nothing special about the pics... meaning, they aren't too big or anything... :/
Can anyone help??

3 AnswersOther - Computers9 years agoHow much Ibuprofen is too much?
I have been taking 800mg twice a day for about the past six weeks for back pain. I don't drink with it. I've been trying to switch over to Aleve, but neither one really works too well. I have been on opiates simultaneously, but don't use them much, as the doc doesn't give me much to start with. (ugh). I'm just worried about my liver. I'm only 31, so I'm sure it can keep up, but I just wanted someone else's opinion...........
Thanks!

4 AnswersCleaning & Laundry9 years agoHow can I auto-tweet: "I posted a new photo to Facebook" (etc)?
I post all my mobile pics to fb (instead of via twitter, yfrog, etc), but I have seen tweets from people which notify you when they have posted a mobile pic to facebook. The tweet is always "I posted a new photo to Facebook" and then has a link to the photo. I have looked at both fb and twitter and I can't figure out how to make this happen. I already have my tweets auto-update my fb status, but I can't figure out how to make fb update my twitter.... help?
thanks!
2 AnswersFacebook9 years agoCan I use/spend USD in Toronto?
I am traveling to Peterborough, Ontario this weekend... just northeast of Toronto. I'm wondering if I need to convert some of my USD ($) to Canadian Dollars or if I can just assume most places will take USD since the city is so close to the border?
5 AnswersToronto9 years agoWhat are some encouraging songs for someone going through a divorce?
I want to make a compilation CD for a friend going through a (relatively amicable) divorce. I don't want any songs about badmouthing her husband, or getting over a lousy spouse, etc... more like songs of encouragement, "keep your head up" type songs... especially any "Christian" songs would be great.
Suggestions??? Thanks!!
5 AnswersMarriage & Divorce9 years agoWhat's the best way to defragment a MacBook?
Yes, yes, I know... MacBooks don't NEED to be defrag'd.... but I've had mine for almost 6 years (current internal HD for maybe 3yrs) and I probably keep it within 5G of full most of the time. Lately it's been slowing down quite a bit and I want to try to defrag it to see if that speeds it up a bit ((since I don't want to invest in additional RAM if I don't have to))! That said, I just don't know what software/process to trust with my HD (which I will backup first, but...)
Suggestions???
1 AnswerOther - Computers9 years agoCan I bring a pre-made sandwich on the airplane?
I am traveling overseas, but on a red-eye flight and am wanting to bring some food with me. I know I can bring snacks, like granola, etc, but I am wondering if I am allowed to bring food, like an apple or a sandwich through security? Or will I have to purchase this (at airport prices) after I go through security?
THANKS!

I will only be there 9am-9pm and all I have in mind is the obvious:

2 AnswersParis9 years agoHow can I text an image to my facebook?
I know I used to be able to do this (before fb apps became so popular) and I'm sure it's still possible, but I can't figure out how! I already tried txting the picture to FBOOK and it's not going through... and, YES, my phone # is connected to my fb already.
I'm going overseas next week and I want to be able to upload pics to my mobile album, but using the data (fb app) on my phone is UBER expensive, so I just want to use the txt function. :/
HELP...?!
2 AnswersFacebook9 years agoWhen judging data rates (for cell phone), how much "surfing" is a kb?
I'm trying to figure out how much extra I will have to pay for my cell when I travel from the US to the UK/Paris next month. I figures out text rates, but the plan states data usage is .019/kb.... So I'm just wondering what that actually means. I.e. if I wanted to check Google maps, use my GPS app, tweet (from my Twitter app) or Facebook, how many kb would that use??
