still trying to evade productivity

I want to see the eclipse but I think that because there's a 12 hour time difference it just won't work out that way...will I be able to see anything cool?

Does it pay well?

My neighbors have (had) a 30-40 foot tree growing in their backyard...a few weeks ago during a storm the tree fell down. It came down on the fence separating our yards (the fence was there when I bought the place, I don't know who the fence actually belongs to), and ended up in my back yard. Other than the fence there was no damage. The majority of the tree is now sitting on my property; the roots of the tree and about five feet of the trunk are still in my neighbors yard.

I haven't talked to my neighbor yet (Its a property I rent out, so I don't reside there), so I don't know how cooperative their going to be about this situation. I just want to know if I have any legal grounds to have them take responsibility for removing the tree and fixing the fence.

I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness - Lev.15:19- 24. The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.

I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves

I want to backup important files to an external HD because I'm about to wipe the system and do a fresh install. Can anyone recommend a pretty easy to use program which is free that I can use to do this?

Or should I just drag and drop everything I want onto the external HD, and then do the same thing to put it back on the laptop later?

Any advice appreciated.

I've been wanting to become a police officer for a while now. I've determined that there are basically two options to do this.

1) Pay to attend a police academy, get the certification, then start looking for smaller departments that are hiring but don't have their own academy.

2) apply to and get accepted into a large city Police dept, which has it's own police academy, and will pay for you to go to it, as well as pay you a recruits salary.

I'm assuming that if I paid my own way through police academy that would give me more options. Like I could apply to be a college campus cop. Or I would probably have a chance of getting ino a small department somewhere.

advice? comments? suggestions?

at what point do you decide to tell them they're not real, or do you? Is it ok to say imaginary friends are not real, then drag them to church and contradict yourself?

I want to call someone who is in the US, but her cell phone and number is from Australia. I have sprint. Is there a way to make that call? how would it be done?

I live out of town, so I'll be able to use their QUEST Program...basically allowing me to do all the interviews, physicals, paperwork, etc over a 4-5 day period, rather than it being drawn out for months. If I can get this done soon would i be able to join the upcoming academy, or do they fill the roster for that further in advance?

For people interested in becoming a police officer and make it to this stage of the process?

Right now this is the MOS I most want to join. It looks like one of the most interesting and has some good training.

I have a degree in anthropology, and from what I can figure out, it seems like this MOS is closely related to anthropology study; except it's used to exploit the enemy somewhat...

anyways, if anyone knows anything this and could tell me what to expect from it, what your usual day consists of, I would appreciate it.

I was wondering if anyone knows about any other countries that will recruit foreigners who speak english into their armed forces. I know Australia is not. Anyone know of any others?

I've been going through the enlistment process for a while now. I've asked my recruiter about bonuses and he said that the military isn't offering any right now. But on the army's recruiting website they say that if you have a college degree there is a 5000 bonus, and if you goto and complete ranger school there is another 5000 bonus. Is this still valid?

are there any MOS's that are offering signing bonuses, or are they all being filled; thus not requiring a bonus?

Some recruits go in at different ranks, depending on if they have college credits, took ROTC, do well at PT before oot camp. so some guys go in at E-1, some at E-4... does this rank apply when you begin basic training or is everyone equally worthless until graduation?
