Bet on bowling, had to stop at 8th frame. Winner/No Winner?
So, me and two friends go bowling on Fridays for PE. Today we only got to the 8th frame before we had to leave. No parameters were set beforehand, we do this every week, but there was the assumption, like all the other games, that the winner was whoever had the highest score at the last frame.
So, is the game invalid, no winner, because we didn't finish, or should the person who was highest at the time of leaving win?
1 AnswerOther - Games & Recreation8 years agoHow do I graph a curved line using three points? Used to predict a current rise in opinion.?
I have three points:
(1930,5)
(1990,8)
(2013,20)
I can graph that, but how do I continue the graph past 2013? I'm trying to predict where Y will be in the future, and when it will reach 100. :D
Thanks,

2 AnswersMathematics8 years agoHTML/CSS Leaving part of an element transparent while setting a background?
Hey,
I want to set a white background on the main content but leave another element, nested inside, transparent.
The layout is something like this.
<div id="content">
<p>Lorem Ipsum dolor sit amet, etc...</p>
<div id="morecontent">
<p>stuff</p>
</div>
</div>
I'd want a white background on #content, but I don't want that background applied to #morecontent. In other words #morecontent would have the same background as the body.
Thanks! :D

2 AnswersProgramming & Design8 years agoForums / User profiles for a website?
I'm doing a website for a friend's Guild Wars 2 Guild. I've come up with a layout but need to incorporate a forum. I would like to be able to customize the appearance of the forums to match the layout, and keep it on the site. Or I don't want the forums to be a separate entity. I'd also like to add user profiles that would be available from any page. These would allow a person to add a character, gaming interests, talent builds, etc.
What I have so far is here:

2 AnswersOther - Music9 years agoVizio E321VL LCD HDTV won't display my computer resolution at 1920x1080?
I just attached my computer to my TV via VGA cable. It's currently displayed at 1280x720. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit. In Screen Resolution -> Advanced Settings, I disabled "Hide modes that this monitor cannot display". After selection 1920x1080, the screen goes black and the TV displays a "Not Supported" dialog. I checked the manual and not only is it supported, they specifically say "If your computer supports it, we recommend 1920x1080." I know my computer supports it because my original monitor is set to 1920x1080.
The TV is a Vizio 32", model: E321VL
My computer is a Dell Inspiron 1501 running ATI Radeon Xpress series 1510. Catalyst Control Center version 8.12.
Any advice is highly appreciated :)

2 AnswersMonitors9 years agoWhich type of martial art...?
Which type of martial art focuses less on strength and more on something like pressures points, deflection, using the opponents weight against them, etc? I'm looking for a more ' brains over brawn' type of martial art.
Thanks :D
12 AnswersMartial Arts9 years agoWhich topic can I write 5 pages (double spaced) about that happened during 1964?
For English i have to find an event or something that happened in 1964. It can't be something that's been overdone, but it could be a facet of something that hasn't really been thought of. For example, there are hundreds if not thousands of books, papers, etc written about Vietnam but not necessarily about certain aspects of Vietnam like P.O.W's (already taken).
Anyway, just any ideas would be appreciated. :)
Thanks,

4 AnswersSoftware9 years agoWrite each expression in simplest form?
Came across a couple sections in my homework I can't remember how to do. Could you explain how to do these? thanks :)
Write each expression in simplest form. Assume that all variables are positive.
1: (x^2/3)^-3
2: 5(x^2/3)^-1
Simplify each expression. Assume that all variables are positive.
3: x^2/7 * x^3/14
4: y^1/2 * y^3/10
Thanks again :)
Homework Help9 years agoWeb Design: How would I create something that would allow a user to select multiple options then give a price?
How would I create something that would allow a user to select multiple options then give a total price? I'm not that great with JavaScript so everything I've tried hasn't really worked out.
I'm creating a website that will be used to sell custom designed products. It will have multiple options for the final item available to choose from and it has to output the final price. Each option would add to the price. I wanted the options to be pictures as well.
I haven't really gotten a definite layout. Here's something I just threw together. It'll kind of be something like this, at least the options part will. http://www.daltondayton.com/options/index.html
I need to be able to click on the options and have it add to the total price. For example, the total would start out as $0 then if I clicked on option one it would add $50 to the total price.
Thanks in advance,
Dalton

I'm 17, I've been programming for 3 years or so, and I either know or am studying html, css, javascript, c++, etc.
I have a website, daltondayton.com with a more complete bio.
I may have a couple clients interested but I feel so unprepared. I know I still need a proposal and contract as well.
Any advice you could give would be highly appreciated. :)

Large telegraph systems were set up during the Civil War. Abraham Lincoln sent many messages all across the north to his generals, but how did he choose where they were sent to?

2 AnswersProgramming & Design10 years agoHow can set up a login box for a website where the login information is the same for everyone?
I'm doing a website for a history class. So I need a way to authenticate users. I want the username and password to be the same for everyone. Ex: User: student Pass: history. I'm not sure of the hosting yet, I know it supports javascript though. If it can be done in javascript I'd prefer that. I just need a basic login.
