I took the red pill.

  • My filter water tastes slightly off, is the filter faulty?

I have just purchased a reputable granular activated carbon (GAC) filter and housing and the water tastes a bit "off" for lack of a better word. It is drinkable, but the actual tap water tastes better. I flushed the filter for 15 minutes yesterday, and have drunk about 2 litres already. There are no granules in the water, but it does have a very, very slightly browner tinge to it. The filter is set up correctly.

Is the filter faulty, or should I flush it some more?

  • Good & Evil?

This question is posed to all those who believe an Alpha & an Omega exists.

If God created the Multiverse, He created it out of Himself as nothing else existed "prior". Thus, everything in the Multiverse is part of God. Therefore, you'll either believe:

    a) Because everything in the Multiverse is part of God, evil must be the lack of God, and thus the lack of creation. Therefore, you believe evil is nothing.

    OR

    b) Because everything in the Multiverse is part of God, evil must be part of creation, and thus part of God. Therefore, evil is part of God.

If you believe a), you believe it because you believe God is good. Why do you believe God is good?

If you believe b), you believe it because it contains the most reason. How can you justify it?

I feel that any answers shouldn't contain any subjective experiences or "feelings".

  • Flashes in the eye... pixels?

When I look at an object, I can see countless extremely tiny 'explosions' that seem to make up the picture I see... almost like pixels except they seem to rush around like multi-coloured static (although the rushing around could be an illusion). But these little 'flashes' seem to make up the picture I see because they exist everywhere all the time, and I can only observe them when I concentrate.

They are not floaters, what are they?

  • What did I see moving across the hazy skyline of the city at night?

I went up the mountain and camped near a peak that over looked a lot of the city I live in. There was a haze above the city, like a mist of sorts, typical for the city at that time. I could see the mist because the city lights made it apparent. I was looking into the distance at one point into this haze, where I could clearly see many lights.

Then I spotted a building with absolutely no lights on. Odd, I thought. Then it started to move, I nearly jumped out of my skin. I then laughed and told myself it was just my imagination. It actually looked more like a darker cloud had fallen down into the lighter haze (as if the city lights weren't penetrating it as much as the haze was), it was funny that the cloud looked like a building though. This I all thought in a matter of 1 or 2 secs. To prove it to myself, I lined the dark patch of haze up with some lights below it (well closer to me).

Well blow me down, the dark patch slowly moved past the lights I lined it up with. I could not believe this. I couldn't believe my eyes! It started picking up speed as it rolled along the horizon of haze, and it moved as if it were alive, like a cloud with purpose. Slowly, other large dark hazy apparitions appeared curling, diving, churning and moving along. They came down from above the haze as if the dark sky above was falling down into it. The thing is, this was on a perfect night. No wind and no clouds at all. What did I see? Anyone got the slightest idea?

(This was on the same day as the eclipse of Venus by the moon if it makes any difference. I'm shooting in the dark here...)

-> Couldn't think of another topic to put this under.
