  • "Glowing" lotions during pregnancy?

I am normally a nice olive toned skin with a very healthy glow. Since becoming pregnant I have lost all of that and have greasy pasty skin, I've not only been sick a lot but I've got all day sickness. I'm trying to make myself feel better :) I went to a beauty supply place and looked at a wonderful smelling hemp lotion that helps you get a healthy glow. The lady there told me NOT to use it being pregnant cause the hormones could effect it and make me a weird color. :( I'm not wanting to get dark or anything but bronzers are not working. Help ladies? Any ideas? Have you used this kinda lotion or any while pregnant? Thanks so much.

  • Having tubes tied? Or partial hysterectomy? Advice please?

I'm 25, I have 3 kids now and am pregnant with my 4th. I am done and know that I'm done. I've had a long battle with endometrious (sp) PID and PCOS I've tried every pill, shot, and even had surgery and those are only temporary helps. It took us a year to get pregnant with this baby and I just know that this is it for me. My doctors are split, half of them don't want me to do anything permanent but the other half think its fine but lean towards a partial hysterectomy. I'm worried about doing either one and it is surgery but my husband and I don't want more babies and I am done with the heavy periods and tons of pain. Has anyone had problems with any of this? Had it done? How was recovery? Anyone had it done after a birth? Thanks for any advice.

  • Ideas for a 6yr old with ADHD?

I have a little boy who has severe adhd we have tried meds for him and it seems like strattera is working well for him. He has great days and really bad ones and I'm kinda outta ideas as what to do with him. He's constantly beating up on his brother and sister and not doing things we ask. I can ask him to do something and then I have to ask again and again before he will do it and then its only half way. I'm trying to get him into some sports or programs but like most families are having money problems. Just looking for some advise from some other parents who might have dealt with this before. Thanks so much!

  • 22mo old daughter won't keep earrings in???

My 22 month old has had her ears pierced since she was about 4 months old and has just now figured out how to take the earrings out, she don't do anything with them but bring them to me and make a face about it but I'm still concerned. She's always had the infant jewelry that is "child-prof" but she takes those out as well. I went and got her some hoops that don't have backs but fit into themselves and she learned how to go those out. Does anyone know something else I can try or should I just give up and let her wear them once in a while and try again when she's older? Thanks!

  • I want a Pug but.....?

I got a Pug puppy about a year ago, she was 8 wks when I got her and was current on all shots and had been wormed. She was great for about the first 3 wks and then she started what we thought was just a puppy thing with chewing. It turned into this major problem cause the only thing she would chew on it METAL! She chewed up a metal truck of my son's and we had to take her to the vet and found out that the breeder we got her from was in-breeding dogs and also that the need for metal and other weird things comes from that. Anyway...we placed her into another home with a lady that was prepared to deal with that kinda thing. I still really want another one but my husband is freaking out about it and is worried that all pugs could be like this and we might end up in the same sitution again. Has anone out here dealt with this before? Or do you have a pug and can share some advice with me?

  • Cleaning a Stroller?

I don't use my bigger strollers much anymore and they have been stored in my carport for a couple months now. I went out to use one the other day and both but mostly one is covered with mold. I don't know if there's anyway to clean them without making it worse. One is a cloth Evenflo and the other one is not that much cloth but something else that kinda feels like tent fabric, it's make by Jeep. Does anyone have any ideas for me? I don't wanna have to just get rid of them and get another one my daughter 19 months now and she won't need one much longer anyway. Thanks in advance!

  • Binky Question?

I have an 18mo old daughter who has been off the bottle for awhile now and over the last couple months she's started not wanting to sleep at all and for no apparent reason. Last week she found a binky and took it to bed with her and that was the first good nights sleep that this house has had in I don't know how long. I know they said not after the baby is 12 mo and then I know it got changed again. My son had his to sleep with till he was about 20 mo old, I know it's a bad habit to start with a baby but what will it really hurt to let her have it to sleep with? She's not sucking on it all night or even wanting or carring it around during the day. Don't hate on me please just give me what advice you might have! Thanks in advance!

  • Anyone else with an IUD?

I have had an IUD for about 15-16 months now and have never really had any kinda problem with it. But in the last couple months I feel like I'm PMSing all the time. I'm moody, sleepy and almost feel pregnant again. I was so worried about that fact one day that I took a test and it came out negitive. I got the shot one time and I was affected the same way I was so depressed that I couldn't even take care of my kids anymore. My question is has anyone else had this problem and if so what helped you? Could this be something else or maybe the IUD? And is it is the IUD why would it take so long for it to affect me like this? Thanks in advance!

  • What to put on a tattoo?

I went and got my 2nd tatt last night and it's alot bigger than my other one, with my first one they gave me a kinda cream to put on it and this place didn't. My 1st one healed great and didn't scab up or anything. My question is since this one is bigger should I put something different on it and what should I put on it, I have heard non-scented lotion and even neosporin and I don't know what might be best. Also it's on my lower back and when I am at work my pants rub on it horriably so is it ok to put a bandage over where it rubs or is that not good for it? Thanks for the help!!!

  • Scretching and screaming 18mo old??

This is my 3rd child and I remember with my boys that they went through a very loud stage for a couple weeks before they started talking some but my daughter who is 18mo old has been in this since she was about a year old. She will screetch and yell untill she's read in the face over nothing, I mean being the mother of 2 older boys I am used to the noise and that's not it. But it's not like she only does it when she wants something she does it all the time over nothing. She can be happy, mad or sad it dosen't matter. My ? is has anyone else been through this and is there anything I can do to help her if she's frustrated with something. Anyone have any ideas? Oh and I don't remember my other 3 starting tantrums till about 2 years old and she's been doing them since she was about 13 months, you can look at her the wrong way and she will lay down on the floor and just cry and cry with no tears just this kinda pathetic fake cry. Any ideas on that as well? Thanks!

  • Swimmers Ear?

I know kids get it from being in the pool for long periods of time..but what is it exactly and are there any signs to watch out for? Other than an achy will kids complain of anything else hurting? My 4 year old has just about lived in the pool this summer and even though he's never had a problem before he said last night that his eas was hurting "way deep inside". He's was prone to ear infections but is not showing me any other kinda normal signs for that. Any ideas on what I can do to make it feel better? Thanks!

  • 14 mo old still on the bottle??? Help!?

This is my 3rd child so you would think I would know how to do this by now! I have always been one of those he's a year old so take it away and I was good about getting the bottle gone by at the latest 13 months. My daughter however has been the exception to the rule. We started trying her on the cup when she was about 10 months old and she would spit and sputter and it seemed to just come out so much faster than she could handle. She's the same way now...will try and then give up and fuss and scream till she gets something to drink. A couple weeks ago she figured out a straw and can drink that way now. Never had a binky and I don't wanna start something like that this late either. She's smaller than both my other babies and has been a little slower catching onto things like eating baby foods and real food, talking and she's not even walking yet. Didn't even start drinking 8oz till she was 12 mo. Do you think I should just give her more time or what should I do?Thanks!

  • Should I be worried about this since I have an IUD?

I have had an IUD for a lil over a year now and though my insurance paid for me to get it I don't have insurance anymore so I haven't been to have it checked. For about the first 3 months I had a normal but kinda light peirod without much PMS and then it slacked off to a couple days of spotting if that. Last 2 months I have had some killer cramps and PMS that is really bad even for me. Last week I had some cramps and then some bright red spotting and then nothing. Today it stared back again with spotting that was a brownish-red and now kinda heavy and the cramps in my back are about to kill me. I am wondering if this is normal, I also have endrometrosis (sp) and don't know if that could have something to do with it as well. I didn't know if there we're any signs that maybe it had slipped or anything. Can anyone help? Thanks!

  • Potty Smell?

I am sure I'm not the only mom who has 2 boys...one is potty training now and the other one is already done..who can't get the nasty smell outta the bathroom and baby potty. Someone once told me that you can put some vinegar and water or even some Pine-Sol cleaner in the bottom of the kids potty and then re-fill it each time they use it? Anyone else have this problem or found a way to fix it or even have some ideas? Thanks!

  • I am 23 and I was adopted when I was a newborn. I was born on March 4, 1984 in MO?

I don't know much about the birthparents other than my adoptive mom told me her name was Tammy Oliver and she was about 16-17 and he was about the same age. Other than that there's nothing and since it was a closed adption I can't find out anything that way. I would love to know how to start the search for finding my birthmom without having to pay a fortune. I have called the state where I was born and they put me on a list so if she calls them as well she can find me but so far nothing. I really want to find her and need some kinda help...please anyone have any ideas????
