  • Do you think this is disgusting?

Almost every night of the week I prepare a well planned home cooked meal. Cooking is my favorite thing ever. I have a trained palate and my culinary skills are something I take pride in...

HOWEVER.... i make this one atrocious meal at least once a month. Its unlike anything Id EVER eat and im just wondering how many other people would eat it. I made it tonight and my family is raggin on me hardcore! they always eat lefovers...

shredded meat of a roasted chicken

2.5 c. hunts traditional spaghetti sauce (and i never eat canned sauce)

1.5 c sweet baby rays bbq sauce

put in a crockpot for 6 hours.

    serve over thick spaghetti

  • If I dye my hair brown can I dye it back again?

Naturally my hair is medium ash brown. It highlights very nicely. Right now I have tons of blond highlights on top. Have for years.

Now thats its fall I want to try going darker. I want it to be a medium-dark warm brown. If I dye my hair this color would it be possible for my stylist to add blonde highlights to it a few months from now if i hate being dark? or will the bleach not work over the dark base color?

    please help.

  • Are Rraltors always late for showings?

My house has been on the market for 6 months. I usually have 1 scheduled showing a week over the past 21 weeks and only 5 have successfully made it. I dont have a lock box because of a few specific/unique security concerns.

I get these windows of time like 10-12 or 2-4 that I have to be there to let them in and they are always very very late or too early and I miss them.

Last like 15 times I told the people on the phone to try and be punctual because we cannot have a lock box and I work.

Is this normal? is there a way to avoid this and get these people to be on time?

  • Can my b/c effect my libido?

I am on the progesterone only mini pill.Though years and years of trial and error oral contraceptives I have found its the only one that allows me to still feel like myself and not some crazy hormonal b-otch.

However... I may as well not even been on it. I have absolutely NO sex drive. I have been on it for about a year and maybe we have sex once a month. I find sex boring, painful, and I can never get wet let alone get off.

I thought maybe it was being over tired or just stressed out that has been doing this to me.

But this month I stopped the pill because a) my period was so screwed up and b) i didnt think i would need it cause im NEVER in the mood.

And now, all of the sudden I cant keep my clothes on. I feel like Im 18 again. My husband is suspicious lol.

The only change in my life is getting off that pill. My doc says it probably didnt screw with my libido but I read about it and it says 75% of women on this pill reported a decrease in libido.

What do you think? Could it all have been the pill I was taking?

  • How to tell a friend to tone it down without pissing her off.?

Im terrible with stuff like this... whenever I try to get a point across people always get very upset with me and I dont want this to happen again. So a little advice?? for someone (me) who is terrible with voicing my beliefs!

Here is my problem. I have a good friend, shes very sweet, soft spoken, kind...and THAT is why Im so surprised in her. She is married to a man with a 6.5 year old daughter and although she is pretty nice to the little girl she says terrible things about her mother right in front of her.

The mother, although a little nuts, is a good woman, who I have also known for a long time. She does not butt in to her ex's new marriage and is happily remarried herself. So I dont know why my friendd is even concerned about her enough to talk ****.

    examples.

the daughter drew a pic of the family. her, her mom, her dad, her step dad, and step mom. I was there when she showed the picture to her stepmom (my friend). My friend said 'oh thats so good... but one thing isnt right. your mom is way too skinny in this picture. you need to make her but much bigger. you also need to connect her eyebrows'.

little girl isnt allowed to have pictures of her real mom in her room. She explained it to the child this way 'when you are here with us, im your mommy. You can just pretend she doesn't exist. Your mommy is mean so I dont want you to talk about her in front of me ok sweetie?

the little girl is very well behaved so she doesn't really react to this.

My friend blurts these things out in front of me with no shame. I should have said something earlier because it bothers me so much now that I dont even know if i want to be friends with someone so incredibly insensitive.

I just dont get what her problem is. She is SO nice to everyone! if i told anyone else they would think im lying!

So as her friend I want to tell her to cut this crap out and its a really bad idea for her to be speaking like this.

    How?

  • Birth moms- how is/how would you like you relationship w/ child to be?

I am adopted. My adoptive family was always very open about my birth parents and I always had a picture, quilt my birth mom made for me, and her name.

So one night at the age 16 my girlfriends and I looked her up, called her, and then shortly after had a meeting along with my adoptive mom of course.

It was all very sweet in the beginning but now 5 years later I feel like my birth mom is assuming role of my 'real' mom.

Telling me what to do, being real harsh with me, and just acting too comfortable. Does that make sense? Like when I got pregnant young she told me she was disappointed in me and tried to urge me to look at my options even though I already made up my mind to get married and keep the baby. I decorate cakes for a living and shes VERY critical of my decorating techniques and always tries to correct me. And also, when my daughter wines she gets so irritated and doesn't hesitate to let me know. My 2 year old can sense the tension and in turn she is scared of my birth mom (her birth granny).

I only see her maybe 3 times a year. We live hours away from each other so its not like we are so close. I feel like its a tad bit hurtful the way shes so 'open' with me.

Also, she is highly educated with much more $ than me and sometimes I feel like she is disappointed I cant be as well off right now?

Its very complicated. How can I talk to her about this without upsetting her?

Also, I dont want to sound cold, but wouldnt you expect a birth mother who is seeking a relationship with the baby they gave up to be more tender/caring/not so judgmental?

    Whats your opinion on this?

  • Does taking b/c pills irregularly make the less or non effective?

I take my pills daily at the same time.

But was just curious. If you miss a pill, or if you take it every day but not at the exact same time does it make it LESS effective or just completely NON effective.

    Thanks!

  • Terrified of pregnancy. How can I overcome this fear.?

I am a young married mother and as much as I love my daughter I cannot get pregnant again.

I just have so much going on right now. New job, Im finally in great shape again, and Im just starting to feel like a real person again. My pregnancy was terrible. Painful and exhausting. I dont do pain meds so the birth was excruciating.

I am on the pill, and I use spermicide every time we have sex. No condoms though.. he can never get it up when he uses them. Plus, I am nursing which also can make it harder to conceive. So I really shouldn't be so afraid.

So every time we are about to have sex I psyche myself out and would rather do other things rather than intercourse. I think we make love once or twice a month. He is getting very upset and can't understand the problem. He thinks im unhappy and the truth is I am. I want to be with him that way so badly it driving me mad.... Im just terrified of getting pregnant.

Every month around my period I go into a state of panic. I vomit, sweat and literally tremble if my period is a day late.

Do I need to go to a shrink? What the hell shall I do.

  • Does being a mom REALLY mean you aren't allowed to go out...ever?

I am a 21 year old mom of a 2.5 year old. I got pregnant my sr. year of high school and fully accepted responsibility. My boyfriend and I got married, he got a good job and I stayed home with the little one.

I was never interested in 'going out' with my friends because I knew 1) I didnt have a sitter and didnt want my mom or husbands mom to watch her and 2) we were poor and trying to avoid getting government assistance so I had no spending money.

So now, some years later my husband started his own very lucrative business and we bought a house, and I started a small in home business so we can start saving extra $.

So, now that we are more established and have some extra money coming in I decided to spend about $10-30 a month on myself on a girls night out type of thing.

The first Sat of every month (sometimes every other month) my girlfriends and I go out after the baby is asleep. Sometimes we go to a bar on karaoke nights, or sometimes a dance club because I LOVE dancing and getting dressed up! We live very close to Atlantic City so there is always something fun to do. Sometimes I will have ONE or two drink at the very most. I always get back by two at the very latest and I always invite my hubby (even tho its all girls) but he never wants to go.

Now, he is giving me crap about it. Telling me that REAL moms dont do this and its unfair to my daughter. My mom keeps telling me its 'ok' and that even though Im a mom im still young and should be allowed.

Then last night my mother in law had a talk with me saying that I lost my right to fun when I got pregnant and that i need to 'cut this **** out'. It kinda made me feel bad and now I dont know what is wrong or what is right.

I just feel like this is LITERALLY the only time I get to see my friends. They are all busy with work and school and I am so busy being a SAHM and having my lil business. It just is so refreshing to get out sometimes.

Keep in mind- I dont dress 'risque' and i never get 'drunk'. I always make sure there is a DD (usually me) and aint no man after me at the bars. I always wear my wedding ring and born and raised in a tough city im very aware of my surroundings and usually get valet so I dont have to walk through the parking lot alone. Plus I ALWAYS have my cell phone on me and check it every twenty min!

So what do you think... should I just give up on this girls night out or fight for my right...to party?
