I was a pastry chef working temporary shifts before covid-19 started. There are virtually no jobs left in this sector, I have signed up to almost every job website looking for jobs in warehouses or cleaning. However not one place has replied, I am currently receiving job seekers but it's not enough to even cover rent. Any ideas? 

I have a lot of photos from old cameras and phones that were copied onto USBs some time ago. After looking back at the USBs at least 4 years later, why are some of the photos now not viewing properly? They either look as if half picture has loaded or it is just formed of coloured blocks.

Back in April I purchased 4 items for a Jack wills store in London totalling £271.80. I payed for this on my debit card. However, I'd left the clothes along with the receipt, in a bag at my boyfriends house. A few months later after we'd broken up and after me asking every week for my clothes back, I found out he'd returned them in store. He won't admit doing it and the shop seem to have no information about what it was returned onto (e.g. Debit card) or even when! Is it against the law to refund onto something other than the original card when the card holder is not present?

A lot of people say that I look as young as 18 and this guy looks around 40. We do get a few people looking at us when we are in public and some of my friends think it's not right. Because of this, I decided not to tell my family. But he's such a lovely guy.

5 months ago I went abroad for the first time to Thailand. I got bitten quite a lot by insects, however some of my insect bites are still really itchy and won't go away. Why is this and what can I do?

After breaking up with my cheating, lying boyfriend a few months ago, I'm very cautious about getting into another relationship. However a few days ago I arranged to meet a guy from my old work for a drink, but he now thinks it's a date.

I think he is kinda cute but there are a few things I'm not sure of. Firstly I'm only 20 and he's 26 which isn't much difference but he also has a child. I'm not sure if I feel too young for him.

So at my work we have two very similar toffee recipes, but for some reason they sometimes split. When they work though we can't see a difference in what we've done which has made it nicer. Here are the recipes and method below.

Recipe 1

-Butter 100g

-Light brown sugar 160g

-Honey 75g

-Salt 1/4 tsp

-Vanilla

-Baking soda 1/4 tsp

1) Melt together everything and wait until it reaches caramel colour, then whisk in baking soda. Toss with popcorn. Bake popcorn on try until dry.

Recipe 2

-Butter 540g

-Sugar 600g

-Salt

-Vanilla

-Water ( add small amount at bottom of pan)

1) Heat in pan. Once it reaches 149C pour onto silpat and spread out.

Sometimes they work and sometimes not.

The kitchen that I previously used to work in used something called 'mass gelatine' in all their recipes. I never actually made it but I think it involved soaking lots of gelatine sheets then dissolving in hot water and setting. How can I convert the mass gelatine amounts on the recipe to just normal sheets?

I recently uploaded some videos to my computer from my phone (Model:Barcelona) However when I click on them a message appears saying: "Windows media cannot play the file. The player might not support the file type or might not support the codec used to compress the file."

The web help isn't helpful at all but I know that the file type is supported. So how can I change the codec so that my videos and viewable??

My boyfriends parents and I used to get along really well. However every time I go round the house now I end up doing something wrong. First time I made everyone late because I'd lost my oyster, then I lost the pet lizard who nearly died, and now I've apparently upset them because of my tone of voice. I really want them to like me again. I always apologise but It's got to the point now that I feel really unwelcome there, even if they have accepted my apology. What can I do?

My boyfriend is 18 in 3 days and I still have no idea what to buy him. I'm already making his birthday cake and making him a card but I'm not sure what else. I was going to take him out for a meal,but would this look rude if I turn up empty handed on his actual birthday?

Almost every time I sleep round at my boyfriends house, I come home with headlice. They are incredibly tiny, so I know I've only got them a few days before (when I've been at his). His mum is a teacher, so is likely to catch lice at school. I've tried asking my boyfriend about whether he has them but he just dismisses it and says that he hasn't got them. Is it likely that's where I'm catching my headlice from?? How can I stop getting them? I already use tea tree in my hair which I thought they didn't like, but they've become immune to it. I'm not allowed to use any strong lice solutions as I have a very sensitive scalp.

I've been uploading videos from my phone to my computer but for some reason I'm unable to watch them on the computer. Do I need to change the file in some way, if so how?? The type of file is a 3GPP audio/video.

I received an answerphone message a few days ago but I want to save it. On my phone (Orange Barcelona) you can only save a message for up to 7 days, but I need it for longer, how can I keep it? I've tried recording it onto my other phone and saving it for good but it's too quiet.

I've recently bought a new phone on contract from Orange and it's make is Barcelona. I've got an instruction book for it and it tells you how to transfer music and pictures from your computer to the phone. I'm following these steps but it's not working! Here are the steps it says:

1-Insert the microSD card into your phone.

2-Connect your mobile to the computer using the USB cable. Your computer will detect it as a removable disk.

3-Open the notification bar, and then touch USB connected.

4-Touch Turn On USB Storage, in the dialog box that opens to confirm that you want to transfer files.

5-You can now transfer files.

I insert the USB to the computer but the little box in the corner doesn't come up, as if it's not detecting it. However when I go to My Computer, it shows the device but when I click on it all it does is open the disk drive, telling me to insert the disk. What's going on???

When I went onto youtube the other day it wasn't working and I know it's something to do with my laptop as all my friends could access youtube properly. It will let me go onto youtube but when I try to listen to songs all it does is come up with a black box, which had no toolbar at the bottom. If it eventually does work it just keeps stopping and won't load properly. What can I do? The laptop isn't an old one so it can't be breaking already.

I've only just met this guy so I'm not really sure about what things he likes. I'm already going to make him a card I just need help deciding what to get him.

I was just watching ITV1 and the screen froze, then when I flicked over to BBC2 then back again the screen had gone completely black. I have a freeview box so I went to the menu and pressed 'auto scan'. It did say it would delete all my channels then re-add them and I'd done this before anyway so I thought it would work. But when I was flicking through the channels ITV1, Channel 4 and Channel 5 had completely disappeared!! How can I get them back??!!

I bought one of the games from Yahoo and there's a problem with it, but how can I contact Yahoo to tell the about it so it can get sorted??
