How would you explain your views? I'm trying to convince people that religion and science can and do in fact play together nicely...throw a fella a bone, eh.

Look, any intolerance is bad, but if you're so ignorant that you can't even keep the "people you're supposed to hate", straight you are honestly no better than a jihadist.

Unless you can read ancient semitic languages, you have no idea what the bible actually says. Not to mention the various non-canon gospels that various authorities deemed incompatible with their agendas that you all pretend don't exist. So tell me, why do evangelicals put so much faith in the KJV? i mean, it was designed to be agreeable to a monarch. They couldn't get much more obvious about it's purpose, a thought suppression device. All of this information is readily available, and yet still, the rigid interpretation of a book of mistranslated stories edited by people with agendas is used by millions as serious spiritual framework...My question is why? Is critical though that hard for you?

Why do you all persist in your worship of a violent, hateful deity? Would a god of love ask his followers to sacrifice family members? To kill? To enslave? To pollute the environment? Followers of Abrahamic faiths are responsible for 90% or the world's war, strife, and conflict; is it because you are all inherently immoral, intolerant, violent people? Is it because you can't think critically?

The fact of the matter is that he is one of the most conservative, authoritarian presidents in American History. He's shown time and time again that he cares more about corporate profits and the expansion of the military industrial complex than he does for more socialistic issues, and yet over and over again, the gasbags bloviate about what a liberal he is. I don't understand, have the words conservative and liberal been thrown around so much in this country that they have no meaning beyond being thought stopping devices? Is the american public seriously this uninformed?

Now understand, I deal in old Porsches. Typically, my father and I work on the later cars in this model series, as they are more drivable than the a's (They handle better, they brake better and typically make more power, from what we've seen. I also think they look better, but that's subjective) And yet, the last few times we've had an A car come up for sale, All logic and rational thought seems to go out the window when the buyers come calling. Case in point, we recently sold a rather ratty specimen (flintstone style floors, bad rockers, bad panel gaps, etc.) for $25k, while for the same price, you could snag a running, driving and more or less solid b or c series car for the same price...basically, what I'm asking is, what's the appeal of the older cars and how does that make them worth the ridiculous premium people seem to pay?

I'm sorry, but the Neo-cons are not conservative in the least, beside being socially regressive. Whatever happened to non-intervention, live and let live, etc.? When did the vitriol and bigotry enter the right wing? How did the GOP go from Eisenhower to slimeballs like newt, morons like perry, etc.?
