The Terribly Plain Princess

I had an eye test and the optician asked me to come back another day because apparently my eye prescription was fluctuating. The optician seemed really confused and not sure what to do. Does this happen a lot and should I go to a different optician? The main discrepancy seemed to be between what the machines "read" my eyes at, what the machine which I had to look through was like (very blurry) and the lenses used in the frames (the old fashioned kind, which I could see through clearly with some of the lenses).

I know what Thought did (he followed a muck cart, thought it was a wedding) but what did Want do? Can anyone think of a good answer, if they don't already know one?

look good with red highlights all the way down, or whether one streak of red would be better. I can only find pictures on the web of short to medium highlights, and I was hoping for a red that's close to purple. I would really like to find a picture to take to the hairdressers with me. Also if anyone is in the UK and can recommend a hairdressers that doesn't cost too much, please do!

I've always just fallen into relationships. Now I've actually start to date properly in my mid-twenties and I just don't know what the rules are! How fast should things move? What should you expect from the guy in terms of contact between dates - text messages? How should you keep someone interested between dates? Is it okay to date a few people at once when you're in the early stages of dating? UK answers particularly good!

Does anyone know of a free website where you can log symptoms and behaviours in depression that you could print out and take to your therapist? Something like www.mymonthlycycles is to periods.

I asked my friend who used to be Mormon about some aspects of the religion and he told me that it was a secret he could not talk about. Why would he have to keep secrets of a religion he isn't a member of anymore? Is he brainwashed, and what is he scared of? Why does Mormonism keep secrets anyway - what is so bad that the general public can't know about?

I can connect the DVD recorder and watch a DVD, I was also able to get the DVD recorder to find analogue channels, but I am having no luck getting it to recognise my Freeview box and record satellite channels. It is a Mikomi DS-8668 and the Freeview box is the smaller kind with one scart socket. I have got three scart leads and some RF cables to work with, but everything I've tried seems to fail.
