  • Device driver for the volume control touchpad?

I have the Acer 6920 and my touchpad randomly stopped working. I have no idea what the driver for it is, but I want to refresh it and see if that helps. Does anyone else no?

My next option is to send it off and have them fix it if this does not help, but I use my laptop for my college classes and can't go through the hassle of being computerless for a couple months while it's gone...However, if I have to, I will.

    Thanks.

  • Disable Fingerprint scanner on Acer notebook?

I have the Acer Aspire 6920 and it has the fingerprint scanner on it. Problem is, when I first got my laptop, it asked me to set up my fingerprint and whatnot, and when I rebooted it the next time I wasn't aware that it would require me to scan my fingerprint everytime I start it up. I'm having issues still with it to read my print properly, and I finally get it after about 20+ tries. Lol. I cannot figure out how to disable it. Can anyone help me with this? I don't want it to ask me to scan when I turn the computer on anymore. I just want to be able to turn it on without wasting 10 mins trying to get in my computer. Thanks for any help.

  • What contacts work for your dry eyes?

I currently wear my glasses most of the time, because every time I go to wear my contacts, my eyes dry out badly. I talked to my eye doctor about it, and he seemed of no help, to be honest, as if I don't know what I am talking about. After I put my contacts in, my eyes dry out within 30 minutes, and I have to constantly use my rewetting drops about 10-15 times a day. It's that bad. I have gone through about 3-4 different kinds of contacts(anywhere from extended wear to daily disposibles) and am encountering the same thing with each one.

I am wondering if anyone else is having this problem?

Also, I am looking at asking my eye doctor about the new Acuvue Oasys contacts. Has anyone had any luck with those when it comes to dry eyes?

I just want to wear my contacts and get out of my glasses without any discomfort or dryness. It sucks.

Any recommendations on contacts for dry eyes? I would prefer daily disposibles.

  • Training dogs that show dominance...?

I know that dogs show dominance by humping each other...I have a 3 month old Chihuahua and a 5 year old Chihuahua. My 5 year old has always been the dominant one when I was living at home with my parents. Now I am moved out, and I had gotten a new puppy(the 3 month old). Now it seems that my 5 year old isn't the dominant one anymore...My puppy is. The puppy is showing dominance by humping my 5 year old. My puppy isn't neutered yet, but my 5 year old is. I AM planning on neutering the puppy. And I do know that it has nothing to do with the puppy not being neutered. There isn't any aggressive issues between the two..They play non stop all day with each other...Should I let him do it so that they can determine where they stand in the pecking order, or do I get them to stop since it is somewhat undesirable behavior?

  • I am thinking about attending an online University for a degree in Veterinary Assistant...?

I have been reading up on here in Answers about some of the main online colleges that I have been looking at...and those comments are not good...Lol. I was looking at Penn Foster, but I have seen that they are not good at all...Then comes University of Pheonix...They are O.K. but, still not the best. Would I even have a chance at getting a job at one of the local vet clinics in my area if I get a degree at one of the colleges? If not, are there any good online colleges that I can get a degree in that will give me a good chance of getting a job at a local clinic?? I have always wanted to work with animals. I am 19 years old and already moved out of home. The closest campus college in my area that has classes for veterinarians is about 3 hours away in a big city...I do not want to move again, or that far away. That is why I feel more comfortable getting a degree online.

  • What is going on??..Any vets that can help??

Ok. So I brought my puppy to the vet because of those bumps on the tips of his ears. The vet gave me some antibiotics to give him and some cream to put on them. I have noticed that his belly is changing colors...I think it might be from the antibiotics but I am not sure. I would call the vet, but they are closed on Sundays. It's not like it's a big deal, I am just curious as to what is happening...He is gonna be 11 weeks old on Monday. His belly is turning a purplish color and it was originally white. It's not bothering him any. He is a Chihuahua and he is silver. (he looks more fawn, but he has some light gray in his coat) I was thinking that maybe his skin is just changing colors since he is getting older...But, again I am not sure. I think it might be the antibiotics. The one he is taking is called Clavamox. It is the liquid form because I didn't want to have to bother with the pills. So, what do you guys think it might be? And please specify if you have veterinary experience.

  • Red bumps on both of my puppy's ears? What are they?

Well, I posted a question the other day asking about the bumps on my puppy's ears. I noticed they are getting worse and the one that has been there the longest is starting to get kinda crusty looking in the center of the bump. He has them on both ears on the tips...I called the Vet to set up an appointment for this afternoon so I am definately taking him...so don't worry about that. I was trying to do some research on it, but I cannot find anything. When I was on the phone with the vet, she told me that it could be ringworm...But, I know what ringworm looks like, and it is definately not that. He has about 6 of the bumps on the backside of one ear and 2-3 on the other side of the same ear. On the other ear is where it first started, and that is where there are 2 of them that developed a crusty look. along with a couple of other ones that haven't became crusty yet...It looks kinda like hives. I just wanna know what they are...I am scared for my baby. He is only 10 weeks old.

  • Pinkish red spots on Pup's Ears?

I noticed not to long ago that my pup has some red bumps on his ears...At first it was only one on one ear, now there is about 4 on that same ear and 2-3 on the other ear...They look kinda like a bug bite bump..but, a little dry...I am not sure what it is but, I was thinking of a bug bite at first...Now I think it might be a rash, like an allergic reaction to something...He is 10 weeks now, and I was hoping to take him in to have the vet look at it when he is 12 weeks when he gets his next shots because I am tight on money...It that too long to wait? And what could it be?

  • Dogs with allergies?

Well, this is more of a poll than a question. It's Spring! Which means there is plenty of pollen in the air. I was wondering how many of you have a dog that is showing signs of pollen allergies. My 9 week pup is sneezing quite often when I bring him outside now that the pollen is in the air...But, it's not causing a breathing problem or anything. So I am not worried that it can be anything worse. And he is up to date on shots...

But, how many of you also have a dog with pollen allergies?

  • Question about www.petfooddirect.com?

I ordered some Innova Small breed puppy food for my pup and some Innove Evo for my adult Chi. I ordered it on Monday, and I still haven't received the shipping confirmation. They say it ships within 3-5 business days, and it has already been 4 business days. I cannot find it in any local stores, that is why I ordered it. I am getting my puppy on Monday and I really want to have the food for when he gets here...I don't want to have to go to town to get some cheap crap to feed him and waste my money on. I have already e-mailed them about this. And I am waiting to get e-mailed back. So, my question is...How many of you have used petfooddirect? And how long did it take for your order to ship?

  • Innova Evo and small dogs?

I was reading up on some reviews about Innova Evo, because I got my mom interested in feeding it to her Dobermans. Well, alot of the reviews I came across said that this food is recommended for large breeds because of the high protein content. But, some of the reviews were about owners feeding smaller breeds Innova Evo, like mini dacshunds, and a maltese. I have a Chihuahua and already ordered some for him. But, I am wondering if any of you have a small breed dog that is being fed Innova Evo, and if you are having any problems with them?...I am also getting a puppy Monday of next week and I ordered him some of the Innova small breed puppy food, so I know that will be alright for him. But, now I am not sure about my adult Chi that I am going to feed the Innova Evo to. Are any of you feeding your small dog Innova Evo and what are the ups and downs? Are there any problems with weight?

  • Where can I find Innova Evo dog food and puppy food?

I am planning on changing my dog's diet to a better quality dog food, and I found that Innova Evo is one of the best ones. It has NO grain products that are bad for the dog. I am also getting a puppy soon(less than 2 weeks), and I was planning on starting him out on their puppy food...I am having a hard time trying to find it. I checked www.petsmart.com and they do not have it. So I probably won't find it at my local Pet Smart. Does anyone know of any reputable online websites that have it or any other pet stores that might carry it? If it helps, I live in North Carolina.

  • What should I do to keep my dog from shedding?

My dog is a chihuahua and he sheds ALOT. He is not long haired. I know that I need to get a brush to help remove the dead hair. I tried using a rubber type brush, and it helped, but not even a minute after brushing him, he started shedding even more. I tried using another brush that I found at walmart(it was made for removing the dead hair), and it has metal bristtles, but they were sharp, and after one try at brushing him it didn't do it any more because they were hurting his skin. So, I guess my question is, what kind of brush should I purchase, and where can I get it?

  • What should I name my male Chihuahua puppy (I have picture)?

I will be getting my puppy in about 2 more weeks. I am not sure what to name him. I know that I should wait till I get him so that I can see what he acts like to get a better name, but I still need some ideas. I want something original/unique. Not a normal or common name like max, spot, fido, or anything like that. Here is a link to his picture!
