I read the book in high school and was annoyed as crap. I tried to give the book a chance but it seemed like it was just a bunch of annoying rich people.

But I looked into it a little more recently and apparently there is a lot of meaning paroding in a non comical way (for lack of a better word) the life of rich people at the time.

So can anyone help me out with that?

I have an LG g2x phone. Randomly the screen will just be unresponsive. I turn on the power button to wake it up, it shows me the unlock screen, and it won't unlock.

I've tried looking into it and people suggest factory reset, but how can I do that if I can't even unlock the phone?

Why does measuring A by itself mess with A's state but not when it is measured with B?

When I refresh and open up my gmail app on my phone it shows emailed I've revived.

When I open up Gmail on a browser those emails don't show up. Even after refreshing and even restarting.

What is the problem and how do i fix it/

I log on to see the youtube layout is different. Not by much, just that the side bar with all the subcriptions is bigger.

I click a sub's channel and the layout is cutting off some thumbnails.

It's a silly little gripe I've seen people have over the word "anyways". I personally don't see a problem with a word so long as the appropriate information is communicated. I don't know which one I use more because it is only a letter difference and it means the EXACT same thing as far as I've seen.

I'd like to think we all know what a person means by "anyways".

Who exactly decides on weather or not it is a word? Because based on the definition of a word, it is.

Hello. I'm trying to move out. I currently live on the Katy/Houston border In NW houston. But I want to move near The loop area(from what I've heard it's more my scene), but the places to live are ridiculously priced.

I was wondering if there were safe and cheap(rent $400-$600 a month) near(no more than 10 miles) those well known good neighborhoods(Upper Kirby, The Heights, Morose, Midtown etc).

I don't believe that it is because they are gay, but I'm curious and am hoping someone could give me a sociological explanation that isn't biased.

I'm confused about the biological purpose of black skin. In humans, dark skin helps protect from the sun, but then how with polar bears does their dark skin help them keep warm?

If their skin absorbs heat, shouldn't our's too?

August 2012 I had unprotected sex 3 times. Due to finacial reasons I wasn't able to get tested via oraquick till early may this year.

I hear you have to wait at least 3 months til you get tested, I ended up waiting 10. Will the test still be accurate?

I just finished watching shiki I i liked it, there was just one problem, Seishin(the monk) joining the shiki for seemingly no reason and helping them out.

Why did he do that?

Did he give up? Did he feel sorry for them? I don't get it.

I saw a vid of a guy who went to a buffet and had tried small samples of everything (as in scooped a little of everything onto his plate) in the buffet.

He didn't like anything there but the soda. He complained to the manager and demanded not to pay, and only paid for the soda.

I asked something akin to this situation earlier today and people said that most places will compensate for you, but that was for a place like olive garden, in this case of a buffet what can be done(the manager offered to charge kid's price)?

Is it wrong to demand to not pay because you didn't like the food?

BTW the manager let him not pay.

If you go out to eat (dine in) at a place like olive garden and you don't like what you ordered after taking a small bite. Would you be within your rights to refuse to pay when you confront the manager about the food?

I don't mean like the food being under/over cooked and having a pubic hair in it, I mean you just in your opinion find it nasty.

I've been trying to understand the concept of transgenderism(the umbrella term) for the past few months now and every avenue of reasoning i try to make sense of leads to the concept of gender identify, the gender you feel inside.

What does that feel like(gender identity)? I try to put myself in the shoes of others and I can't really relate. If people suddenly started calling me a female they would be objectively wrong. My gender identity seems to be contingent on my biology so I can't relate.

I have heard about trans people who have the gender identity of a male/female, but don't have gender identity(butch trans women)

I don't feel male, female, or anything like that, so how can anyone else?

If anything my gender is.... genderqueer?(I don't know). So i feel if I was born with the same brain but a female body. I'd be fine.

This question is relative to the US and the few states that allow it.

If there is no legal documentation behind common law marriage how can the couple prove they are married?

If the husband of a common law marriage is goes to the hospital how is the wife able to visit him? Just by saying they are married?

Why do they need a traditional divorce if there was never a traditional agreement?

I have no problem with porn or prostitution as a business(not the typical pimping) or consensual prostitution (self pimping i like to call it), but I looked into it and I hear the that porn is legal because you're paying someone for a role not for sex.

I know porn is a million dollar industry to it is legal for financial reasons and is easy to tax, so that's whatever.

But that loophole of paying to act opposed to paying for sex makes no sense. It is like having an actor in Macbeth actually kill other actors and say "I wasn't soliciting murder, I was paying them to play a role where they kill someone"

Why does the government just make prostitution legal anyway and to where they can tax it?

I'm very confused. I hear that trans ppl are literally in some parts of the brain the opposite of their biological gender. This causes a feeling of discomfort with their biological gender/sex.

To treat this many transgender(not transsexual) just dress/act the part of their inner gender(if you will).

Now that that's been established(hopefully, correct me if i'm wrong) what if the world had no gender roles/expectations?

Would a MTF who now dresses in what is considered in our gendered world as girl clothes still dress in girl clothes due to the female part in their brain? Or due to the lack of gender expectation dress however they like without seeing it as a gender thing.

If the former, why is that so when there isn't anything naturally effeminate about dresses(dressed are just a broad example). Why/how does it take a female brain to enjoy such a thing?

If the later, then why is it in a world of gender roles the feeling of being female causes an inclination to do what is considered female when it wouldn't have anymore or less effect in a gender role less world.

I know that protein isn't stored, but let's say after you eat a protein rich meal. How long do you have to make that protein useful before it is excreted?
