Vegan friend lied to me and tricked me into eating vegan burger – how to respond?
This "friend" apparently wanted to demonstrate that vegan food was just as good as meat, but went about it by lying to me and putting stuff in my food without my consent.
I would never retaliate by tricking them into eating meat, but I am absolutely livid with them. They just don't seem to understand that it's not okay to deceive people about what's in their food.
I just don't know what to do, or if I should just let it slide. Any advice?
6 AnswersVegetarian & Vegan4 years agoDo you think that women should have to ask men for sexual consent?
Currently, most people understand consent as meaning that (in a heterosexual relationship) the man asks the woman, and if she says 'yes' then that's that: the man's consent is assumed.
Do you think that both parties should have to consent, and that consent should never be assumed under any circumstance?
Do you also agree that a woman, by not asking a man for consent (because she assumed that it had been given) has committed sexual assault?
6 AnswersGender Studies4 years agoIs it normal for guys to wear speedos when lap swimming at public pools in the USA?
I'm from a country where it is very normal, but I wonder if I'll get nasty glares or shocked glances from the Americans at the local community pool.
2 AnswersSwimming & Diving5 years agoQuestion about rest days for exercising (running + swimming)?
I have been told by my doctor and dietitian that I urgently need to lose weight. I've been put on an emergency diet and told to exercise in anyway I can.
I know it's bad to run everyday due to injury concerns, so for my rest days, could I substitute strenuous swimming in place of running?
Thanks!

Another way to ask the question is, do you think that it is okay to discriminate against someone who is a member of a 'majority'?

3 AnswersHigher Education (University +)5 years agoAre the words "slavic" and "slavonic" completely synonymous?
I read somewhere that they are the same with the sole difference being that Slavic is American English whilst Slavonic is British English. Is this true?
An example, do both of these sentences mean exactly the same thing:
1. The Russians are a slavic people.
2. The Russians are a slavonic people.

With the heating off, obviously.

Who calls it the Second Indochina War? Historians, militaries, particular nationalities?

I am talking about non-athetic swimmers, just people there to get a bit of exercise.
7 AnswersSwimming & Diving6 years agoHow does one give a speech without reading every word written down on paper?
I never understand it, some people in my class are able to give fully coherent and informative 10 minute presentations seemingly off the top of their heads. They do so with near perfect grammar, and their arguments are typically as well structured as a written essay. How do they do it? Did they actually just fully memorise a speech, or are they truly making it up as they go along?
19 AnswersHomework Help6 years agoWhich is the best Final Fantasy game as an introduction to the series?
I am thinking about trying one or two of the final fantasy games but I don't know which. I would like one that is very strong as a standalone (not requiring knowledge from prequels) and is also similar to the "Golden Sun" series.

These terms seem to be nearly synomymous, what are the differences between them? On the same note, what is the difference between: Pope vs Pontiff and papacy vs pontificate?
2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoHow good do you need to be for it to be socially acceptable for one to leave the driving range and play on an actual golf course?
I've been a member of my local golf course for a while despite never having played golf (long story), but now that I have started learning how to play, I want to know when it is socially acceptable to go about and do a round on an actual course rather than at the driving range. I don't know my handicap, but I would image in I would probably double every hole (finishing a par 3 in 6 shots, a par 5 in 10 etc). I am thinking about going during the off-peak hours, when no one else is there so I can learn on an actual course. What do you think, and do you often come across complete noobs on your local couse?
3 AnswersGolf6 years agoWhisky drinkers, do you like peaty whiskies like Laphroaig?
I really like Laphroaig, but I get a bit pissed off at people about people talking about peaty whiskies being for big men (with the implication that anyone who is not a big solid guy is a faker). I think I might like it because I was a smoker for quite a while and it killed off some of my taste buds hence I need something really strong to be able to taste all the flavours.
