I'm 52 yrs. old. I have a son that I raised pretty much by myself. I'm retired. I like to play board games, video games, going to movies and visiting with family and friends. I love studying God's Word, history, the sky including the stars and their meaning in reference to His Word, among other things. I like to help people when I can, if I can. I have a dog named Stone.
Why would any so-called Christian want to reject the bread and wine of communion?
Do they realize that many witches and satanists do the same thing in their services?
Are they rejecting the true body and blood of the lamb, which was given for us, and foreshadowed in Passover?
Lord let them have eyes to see, and ears to hear. Amen.
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHow can the God of the Bible, and that of the Koran, be the same?
In the Koran, Allah, swears by many created things. For examples, he swears by the Star, by the Moon, by the Pen, by the Prophet and his life, etc. Some of these things were pagan idols at the time.
Whereas, the God of the Bible, YHVH, would swear by nothing but Himself. Hebrews 6:13, 16.
Heb. 6:13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself...
Heb. 6:16 For men verily swear by the greater;: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.
How can they be the same God, if one will not swear by anything but himself, and the other swears by things created?
16 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIs there a particular chemical that the human body produces in 0-gravity that it doesn't normally on earth?
I read something about it years ago, and can't remember what it was. Supposedly, it dissipates after returning to earth. Has anyone heard of this? What is it? What's its purpose?
2 AnswersAstronomy & Space1 decade agoWhat is "Occupation" Theology? Have you ever heard of this? Where is scripture found that supports this?
According to what I've heard, Jesus was supposed to have said, "Occupy until I return." Is this true?
What scripture verse says this?
1 AnswerReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoRoman Catholics, have you ever heard of the prophecies of Saint Malachy?
According to those prophecies, apparently, there is only one Pope remaining to take the seat after Benedict XVI, another Peter (Petrus Romanus), who is supposed to be an apostate at best.
Have you ever heard of such a thing?
If this prophecy holds true, as the rest seem to have, what would you do?

Please, please don't think that I am down on Catholics or am a Catholic basher, I'm not. I have family members who are Catholic and I love the Catholic people...but I am concerned about this. What do you think?
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoIs a picture of Christ as God revealed to us, through ideograms, in the name YHVH?
In the hebrew alphabet letters have a literal as well as a figurative meaning in picture form: ideograms.
In YHVH the letters are Yod, Heh, Vav or Waw, and Heh.
Yod- hand
Heh- a window, fig. look or behold
Vav or Waw- nail
Heh- behold
So together it could be read, "Behold the hand, behold the nail."
I found this earlier today, thanks to a question from Chisza. Thanks again Chisza. His question:

The one I found about YHVH:

This with such scriptures as Isaiah 43:11, 45:21-23, Hosea 13:4 as well as the meaning of Jesus true name; Yahweh, or Yah is salvation, should cause people to pause and think, if not outright jump for joy. It sure got me excited.
Check out the clips, tell me what you think.

3 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy is Jebel El Lawz a restricted area in Saudi Arabia?
Why not let international archaeologists into the area?
http://www.arkdiscovery.com/mt__sinai_found.htm
This site shows one possible reason: it could be the true Mt. Sinai.
Would it be political as well as religious dynamite to let this information out?
3 AnswersSaudi Arabia1 decade agoIs the Gospel written in the stars?
According to the psalmist, David, it is. See Psalm 19.
Though we have a more reliable word of prophecy now, the stars are still there, telling the gospel story. This story was passed down in an oral tradition from Adam to his descendants. Familiarity with it, and the desire to usurp power over other men by applying the story to themselves, caused the similarities that we can see between the Gospel message and ancient myths. People like Nimrod were pretenders to the throne of Christ, of whom the story refers.
I'd have to write an entire book to cover the entire story written there, but I will give a few examples.
It starts with Virgo...yes Virgo. What we see when we examine this picture and the names of the stars associated with it, is amazing. The picture is that of a woman, a virgin. She is shown holding a branch in her right hand, and a spike of corn in her left. (The promised seed of the woman, Gen.3:15?) Interestingly, most of the stars' names in this picture, as well as the rest, refer to the one she will bare, "Tsemech"-the branch.
It goes on:
Coma- a woman holding a child-the desired of all nations
Centaurus- showing two natures-the despised sin offering
Bootes-a man walking holding a branch- he comes
Libra-the scales- price deficient balanced by the price which covers
Crux-the cross endured
Lupus,or Victima-the victim slain
My favorite is a picture that incorporates four of these together almost as one. It's the picture of a man (Ophiuchus) struggling with a huge snake (Serpens) for a crown (Corona) while he is standing on a scorpion (Scorpio), crushing its head but being wounded in the other foot by its sting.
Awesome, if that doesn't sound like the prophecy in Genesis concerning the promised seed of the woman, I don't know what does.
Anyway, what do you think?
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWhy is Jebel el Lawz a restricted area in Saudi Arabia?
Could it be that they don't want international archaeologists coming into the area and discovering artifacts that prove that this Jebel el Lawz is actually Horeb, the mountain of God, the true Mount Sinai?
http://www.arkdiscovery.com/mt__sinai_found.htm
This site is admittedly asking people if they would like to be distributors of the DVD that shows the work of a man named Ron Wyatt, in finding Mt. Sinai, along with his two sons. It also contains some really good information about the topic as well as a 18.43 minute segment of that DVD that you can watch for free.
Could this be political and religious dynamite that they want to try keeping under wraps? Could it actually prove the exodus from Egypt really happened? What are your thoughts?
2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoHas God changed his name?
Exodus 3:13-15 reads thusly in the KJV, " And Moses said to God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them? 14) And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. 15) And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations."
In light of this, has God changed his name, or are the ones being used, such as "Jehovah", really just titles that man has affixed to him, that represent an aspect of God in covenant with mankind? The name Jehovah didn't even appear, from what information I can find, until 1270 ce, in a book, "Pugeo Fidei", written by a Spanish Dominican monk named C.E.Raymundus Martini.
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoCan anyone tell me the names of those that are called the "Governing Body" of the Watchtower Society?
Is there a list that gives their names and positions of authority?
I checked the Jehovah's Witnesses official home site, but was unable to find anything in this regard.
Most churches have no problem listing the names of those in authority there: pastors, deacons, etc.
So, can someone please give me an authentic list of who's in the Governing Body: names and positions of authority?
Sure would appreciate any official links to that info.
Thanks for the help.

1 AnswerWords & Wordplay1 decade agoI read a book a couple of years ago and can't remember the title, though I think about it all the time.?
In essence it is about an American Indian who is bent on the destruction of the technological world of today, in favor of the world of his ancestors, through the use of some Tesla machine.
Does this ring a bell with anyone?
Finally, he is unable to turn on the machine. To do so would mean the death of his new wife from Russia, whom he has just found out has a heart pace-maker.
